For future reference, just enable AHCI. Intel RST drivers are of poor quality - they've been rejected from the Linux kernel for that reason.

They also create a RAID 0 configuration which can cause issues down the line.

I can confidently say it does not cause a drop in performance as often claimed, even with Optane capable SSDs. When rebuilding devices at work we constantly had to find the right drivers that were supported by the devices (you would expect the newest driver to always work but no).

A manager somewhere up the line was convinced AHCI would lower performance of the drives, so we tested about 30 different configurations of recent hardware and found no configuration lost performance significantly, and some gained about 5% (particularly AMD based systems).

What I was referring to is: will printing costs be a big motivator for you? Cheaper printers have super expensive ink to make back the money that lost selling you the printer
As an example a cheap printer will have a $50 cartridge that gives you like 300 pages, whilst a $400 printer will get you a $60 cartridge that gives you 3000

overall I like it, doesn't have as much bass as I thought it would from the measurements even without glasses
