my thermal curse continues and the fans on my 3080 12GB croaked. in all likelihood the fan header died, cause not even soldering them directly to it worked. my patience was well exhausted and I took them off and strapped CPU fans to them with zip ties, and connected them to molex. this is after 10 minutes of FurMark:

The only issue I have is that is has daily PC activation limit, because on Linux every change of Proton version is detected as a different PC, would be nice if they added a fix for that

could somebody possibly educate me with this. I remember asking in the past when 80HE was first announced if whether they'd eventually implement the 8K tech onto their 60HE. Was told that the MCU necessary was too big to fit onto the PCB.

When they talked about 8kHz polling. The big thing that got me in that regard was them explaining "synchronization," showcasing that they themselves were going to have TRUE 8kHz polling.

Nuphy Air60HE has peaked my interest since they themselves have a product that claims 8kHz polling as well. But the thing that's confusing me, is that it's a thin lower profile keyboard.

So my question is how was it possible for Nuphy to pull that off? Or is it possibly there's an alternative MCU they're using that's just as efficient as Wootings with a smaller form factor?

I pretty much only trust Wooting in regards to Hall Effect keyboards. Yes that is very ignorant. But I am not very knowledgeable with it. W60HE was my very first experience with Hall Effect. Everything's been flawless. I pretty much only have trust with Wooting as the reliable keyboard with this tech in the realm of HE keyboards.

I am trying my best to expand my mind though by trying to understand the nuances of this to be able to at least be appreciative and considerate of other alternatives.
