Controllers players really need aim assist, otherwise they’ll never compete with mnk and gyro users
sure but not that strong
maybe don't play a game like that with a controller then
Hello? People play CoD on console???
Personally prefer to use mouse and keyboard in most cases, unless aim is really not part of it.
Only thing I really miss on mouse + keyboard is the haptic feedback rumble gives me.
imagine a world where everyone would be on a level field - controller vs controller, no assists, or kbm vs kbm, no assists there either
Nice thing on console is, it's a level playing field everyone has to use the controller in some games. No need for aim assist for that.
I prefer a controller for 3rd person action games myself, if shooting is involved and the game is sp then I still prefer a controller, for everything else kbm
It was like that for a while on console for a long time
Still controller aiming just sucks without gyro especially, it is just not nice / enjoyable at least to me.
I know, and I don't like the development
Shooters on consoles? One of the most popular genres alongside sports titles?
Nope. No one touches those.

unfortunately
what you replied is not what we were talking about at all ducko
I disagree.
Crossplay is so much better for games in general because it combines all of the playerbases and keeps the games alive
CoD is probably THE most well known shooter franchise on console.
and what he meant is exactly what you're saying
Then maybe they should phrase it better and without question marks, if it's a statement

it was in response to what I said so it's clear if you had read the context
this is the reason why I keep the chat open right in the middle so I don't see any new messages until they're old
or do I? anyway controllers are good for some stuff, not for others, and I dislike any kind of aim assist in multiplayer games no matter the platform. crossplay is kind of cool, but the disparity of equipment is exactly the reason why cod and apex legends are both a big joke to me, I can't look at them as serious competitive games
They should really lessen the aim assist on these games in the first place.
I don’t know what their tactic is providing even the worst players with aim assist this good
to keep them engaged and playing, probably
the console players tend to be a lot worse than pc ones to my experience though
i tried aim assist on cod and i was even worse
Once you get used to it, it gets real good
I also wish gyro aiming was more widespread but microsoft just refuses to add gyro to their controllers
i wanted to get good with it for a whole week
its just not my thing at all
splatoon is carrying gyro
Splatoon gyro is so good
thunderbird or chrome
Thunderbird works alright
Has it's flaws such as search being terrible (use filters within a mailbox instead when you can) and signatures with images requiring you to write the html. Or sometimes it failing on settings requiring removing and adding accounts, besides that it does exactly what it has to.
@reef patrol i love your new pfp
New old
well i still love it
I should bribe Rouhan to make me some seasonal ones for my new one
hello guys i need help my wooting is broken or bugged idk, but it cant be broken tbh.. so my alt key is just not working my esc and tab sometimes it spams the keys out of nowhere sometimes i cant type and no keys works... i cant rese the wooting i need help pls
having an issue with my 80he when moving with D and A it gets stock on one of with and i cant stop it in games
How good or bad frame gen and DLSS is depends greatly on your base framerate, since they are both temporal technologies. The more frames you have, the more (and more relevant) input they have, and thus the higher quality they produce. Higher base FPS also greatly mitigates the latency penalty of framegen.
I have 1440p 480 monitor now and basically any game with framegen support it goes on, and it's no contest at all. Even in a shooter, the reduction in stroboscopic artifacts and blur when turning the camera are a legit competitive advantage even moreso than the latency hit is. If i'm already playing @ 100fps then DLSSQ (1080>1440) and framegen both look great, and turn it into 250 fps.
If you're trying to crank dated hardware and max settings from 30 to 60fps, neither of them are very good.
Well that’s obvious, i just prefer not using generation
I don't believe in fake frames
all else being the same you wouldn't use it, but if you're choosing 250fps with it vs 150 (or even 125, if cpu bound) without then it's a pretty huge upgrade.
FSR userguide even says its not recommended to use frame gen for anything below 60 but clearly nobody is reading that when 60fps is the target with FG in monster hunter..
yeah the monster hunter devs are pretty incompetent
In smoothness? Yeah it’s an upgrade, but id rather just use the real frames for my personal use
idk if thats the case or the engine just has issues since I believe its the same as dragons dogma
Not a bad tech, just not one I’d use
Mhm

in motion i would say that the smoothness is clearly apparent but any artifact is difficult to detect. I was playing with W3 this morning and i couldn't find any by eye, and if you are doing game capture/screenshots then it captures only the native frames
Eh, too much fuss, I'd rather play in 120
I mean if i have a stable fps with a good enough graphical settings i dont care
2 words that enthusiasts of any kind are afraid the most:
Good enough
Sure, it's just a very effective way to either crank settings or run at high fps with high settings where it would otherwise be unaffordable or not even possible
Does anyone know if it’s possible to setup a double tap feature similar to Minecraft running? Instead of the one tap
Truee
Or just optimize the games
I do generally cap to 120 in singleplayer titles. Cyberpunk without a cap i did see its benefits in, but maybe ill have to do more testing with it in other titles
FPS games have pretty horrible stroboscopic artifacting and blur during turns unless you have a framerate far in excess of 120
Yeah that’s a given unfortunately
Much more suitable in third person kind of games
Makes me interested in how mh wilds will do with it, given wilds will be more like worlds
if you're not averaging 500+ fps you're not esports ready
1440p120 is my target
Shouldn't capped always be the best option?
Capped is my preferred option
Im happy with 1440p90 but sure more is better
240 cap in fps games, 120 in singleplayer/adventure titles
I'll be playing on medium/high, so should be no issues with hitting 120
I wouldn’t cap my fps in any games
capping has some advantages in motion and latency stability but it's overshadowed in a lot of games by performance changing in different circumstances, especially when CPU limited. It's pretty crap to have a 100 cap because one scene does 110fps, but then another has 300 and you could be running that.
Reminds me…. @umbral heron we should play monster hunter to prepare for wilds
I cap mine at 143 in most games but most games rarely reach those frames with my gpu
oh god I remember the cs/tf2 discussions if you should cap at 1fps above or below or at 141 or something else exactly lmao
I usually cap 2 more than target
I just cap at my refresh rate
Weird stuff is happening in 7dtd on Linux
No VSync - 170fps, Vsync on - 150fps, Vsync half - 250fps

I usually dont cap and just set it to FastSync, mostly because I would love VRR but that flickers too much in dark scenes at lower fps
Turn off VRR, it's black magic
Aiiiiiiiii
mine is good in most cases its just really bothering me in something like alan wake and I cba switching back and forth all the time
Nice
someone said AI?
I need to sell some of my old stuff before im gonna order a new gpu
Yeah, I'll be running Nvidia optimized AI code on Radeon
But, my vrr
Vrr so good
new PC time soon
spicy
and by soon I mean 4-5 months
9800X3D?
hopefully
Got any parts already?
And B650 Livemixer
& Fractal Pop with colour
na given it's so far out I haven't picked anything up yet
could do some black friday sales though we'll see
Yup
pleased with my fractal pop
i've also been looking at getting a proper camera and some lenses but that's going to be more then the PC
Yeah, kinda
cameras... ive been thinking about it too
Thinking a6700 with a smaller lense but I'm not too sure probably go into a store and try em out first
panasonic for mft, fuji for apsc, sony for full frame, if you want sony, go full frame
I am getting one 🔥
i gotta wait longer so they drop here in canada tho
this is a good opportunity to see reviews though
Yeah
i wonder how the 9800X3D's vcache integration improves over the 7800X3D
alao this will be my first AMD build for myself
yeah that kinda range was what I was looking at too
if dual vcache CCD is true, I'll get a _950X3D next upgrade just for fun
Razer just dropped a PRO version of the Blackwidow V4 75 that I liked so much from last year. It adds 4K wireless, an OLED screen, and allows for some serious deep customization. But this price point may be too high to justify the cost.

I gave this mouse an overall score of 8/10. I wouldn't say it's the best mouse out there, but it's certainly very good! It's responsive, has a good design, and holds its charge for 70 hours! I would definitely recommend purchasing this mouse if you have the money to afford it...
50 grams.
Nope, not worth it.
a nice 21 hour battery life even at 1000hz
I refuse to believe people still buy into this
ah yes

Why are these things taking off so much recently?!
I mean if you think it's shady its better to not link it?
how do you even find a 116 views video
Idk, ppl want pre optimized OS’s? So uh.. idk spyware ig lmao
Lana: another shady drug dealer on the net
links to website to buy drugs
XD
i mean its basically the same as the one DNS filter company in germany that recommends domain blocks to ISPs... and lists the domains publicly.... totally doesnt advertise them for free
like man youre just telling everyone where to find the stuff you dont wanna be found
lol
Chaotic Good
basically yeah
i realized i cant post the website because it technically is against TOS of discord because while it recommends to block them it also just straight up links them basically
lol have you went to the second link in that image?

goddd these windows bootlegs have been around so long i get nostalgic when i see new ones
windows 7 genius edition? tricking my computer out with rocket dock? 😆
Honestly, I'd prefer that some Russian dude would buy himself a boat than some suit from Springer or Elsevier a 7th yacht

Lmk how it goes if you do decide to switch (or try to) I am curious
Building my first pc :)
Parts so far
NZXT H9 flow case
Corsair RM750e
Asus TUF 1440p 165hz monitor
Rtx 4070 super
Ryzen 5 7600x
MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk motherboard
Peerless Assasin 120 SE
Corsair vengeance 32gb ram
1tb WD_Black
Wooting 60HE+
Logitech light speed ( I was running out of budget )
And lian li infinity fans soon hopefully
🙏🙏
enjoy
Don't forget to download more ram
I thought 32 was more than enough?
Strange choice not to pair an AMD GPU with that AMD CPU
But good build overall!!
a6700 is great
It be a joke
not a strange choice because at all but normal
i'd avoid the infinity fans
I’m a certified nividia glazer but thanks 💯
terrible performance and high prices
Why?
DO NOT DOWNLOAD RAM
I CAN SAY ITS NOT A GOOD TIME
having amd or intel cpu makes no difference as to which gpu to use
sans SAM
But they look so pretty
You can theoretically download more ram if you increase the swap size on your computer xdddd
thermalright m12s exist but yeah
you can use rebar on any hardware combo these days
Hehehe
Sorry
They use Windows
*Pages file
Swap sounds nicer and makes more sense imo
It swaps to disk space when needed
Easy to understand
its called memory paging so the file is called page file
:')
Real gamers use swap as extra Vram for their dgpu
My mind is too dirty for anything mentioning std regardless of context
I know what it means in this context but still :')
:')
You don't even need to go to Google first on Android
Just copy the text right from discord
I want to make sure I’m looking at the right ones bc they’re so dirt cheap
Almost seems too good to be true
Those look nice indeed
Im trying to find the catch
there have been multiple cheap fans in recent years that outperform name brands that are just overpriced for no good reason
Damn
Are there reversed versions for these ones?
arctic p12 were good and cheap, dunno about others currently, havent looked in a while

My favorite band is Alternating Current, Direct Current
(totally legit 100% original joke yup yup fr fr no cap)
hey are you saying arctic isnt a name brand? smh

Also why is there barely any reviews, I have really bad trust issues with low and little reviews in a product
no he means 8 reviews is low
you can check for arctic p12 instead those should be even cheaper lol but I dont think they have rgb if you want that
AMD is making some changes to the power profiles and limits on 9600X and 9700X CPUs to make them more competitive and valuable for gamers. Stay tuned to learn what changes are coming soon!

they have rgb versions but they arent particularly noteworthy
p12 are still kinda king
p12 co are the goat, who needs sheer performance when you can have 6 fans for under $100
oh wait 5 fans for $60
does co do anything outside of them being continuously operatable?
? much less even
they are an eu company, only time youll ever see lower prices in the eu
be thankful for it
ah lol
thermalright c12c are worse performing but cheaper and i use them a lot making lists for people who want rgb
I mean I havent ever bought fans I that didnt come on cooler or case already lol
i'm buying a single p12 pwm pst argb and my lf3 will come with 3, all i need for lian a3
such a good case dude
nzxt
is that 3 for $12???
ya
some shit like that
great for like filling the top 360 rad mount if it's an aircooled atx build and the person wants it to look full
eg xt pro ultra
about that yeah, fits any gpu on the market sands distance from slot to power connector (shit like aorus master wont fit), atx psus as well as sfx/l, 360 rad (lf3 does fit with a bit of modding) and matx and itx boards
is the gpu and bottom case fans kissing lol
cable management is it's biggest issue
iirc the person said about 1.5mm clearance lol
bottom fans are kinda unnecessary when you have the gpu that close though
how does this even fit in 1.5mm clearance it just disappears
gpu has intake fans
goes to the side with a harsh bend
ehhhh good enough lol
¯_(ツ)_/¯
i'm planning on 9800x3d + tuf gaming 5080 in the a3 wood
lf 3 with an angle ground corner of a p12
b650m aorus elite ax
flare x5 2x16 6000 cl30
2tb kc3000
sf1000
and an extra p12
just love it
oh its that guy i dont know the name of
hardware canucks yea
im doing with tg panel too
this $170/month subscription is for a $2300 pc
tuf gaming 5080 and if it doesn't fit i'll get a nitro+ xtx
is it worth 2300 tho
what cpu + gpu
fuck no💀
also zero information on cl or die or anything and what mobo and what ssd and what psu
wait no this whole thing is a scam
2300 gets you a comfortable 7800x3d 7900xtx/4080S build
smh
okay you cant even read this i had to zoom out
model: product brand may vary
thank you nzxt
you just know its an nv2
speaking of cases look at what i got recommended

if there is anyone good at python programing and can please help me debug something really quicck i would appreciate you so so so so so much. my python program is producing two different outputs depending on my ssh and my machines terminal. and its not little differences its like 1000 lines of differences. if you have extra time i would really appreciate the help
Hey guys any ideas on what I should get for my gaming setup. Like I'm starting from scratch coz I have nothing rn. I'm just researching a bunch for later when I get money. Just asking for ideas on what I should plan to buy.
I'm prolly just gonna play cod or like rocket league.
So like what parts do you suggest
To build my pc
Hold off for the 5000 series with a AMD CPU
and a PSU of 1k or 800
There will be new PC cases coming sooner or later anyway
Hey I’m looking for a mic. It doesn’t need to be too high quality but just need it to be clear. I’m using my headset mic right now and my friends tell me that it’s muffled.
Thanks! I will check it out
Could anyone help me out? I’m looking into a entire new pc this Christmas and have never built a pc but really want to, I do editing/ content creation on davinci resolve so something powerful enough to handle that and I play casual games like valorant and rainbow would there be a good discord server / Reddit to point me in the right direction for a pc build (budget is 3k)
Spend $500 on a shure sm7b instead, only 500% more
Some really bad decisions were made 💀
Yeah true butttttttt I don't want the 50 series because they're gonna explode just you wait!
I at least got an EVGA power supply because they on top frfr
Bet 50 series will not be scalped
Damn. I would ask for it as a joke but I alr have one and I can't fit another in that thing
That card is huge
True although I got the liquid cooled hybrid version and it's only 2 units tall
is 50 series actually worth though?
yeah its all speculation
why the liquid cooled?
go custom or just get a air cooled
So I want to have more room cause I do use a soundcard
Nah air cooled is louder and the GPU's are much larger and custom liquid cooling scares tf out of me 💀
now its even more money waste
I'm ngl I love AMD really do!
Buttttt the how the cards use shader cache just isn't it for me
After going from 165 to 360hz my card causes the game to stutter more in Overwatch and it does it in some other games too but I can have shader cache stuttering and it's a game I play semi professionally so I need stability
And plus I can just sell my card and my old 850w PSU for like 800 bucks and call it a day
also have stutter with my xtx but only if i have the full install of adrenalin
so atm i use the minimal install
Yeah that plays a factor but also Nvidia reflex is nice and AMD isn't gonna add anti lag 2 to overwatch anytime to yeah I still feel validated but hell I love both brands so 💀
you shouldn’t need to justify your own purchase
Oh no I do as I tend to make horrible decisions💀
everyone does
i believe this is what they call copium
Oh no im fully aware
If there's a machine that says id rip my hand off well then I'll put my foot in it
thats just intrusive thoughts
Anyways I hope you guys enjoy your night while floating in this giant rock in space
There's no justifying an aio GPU. Such a bad purchase
have AIOs ever been worth it?
No replacement coolers anywhere, only a (maybe) custom water-cooling block available, that you should have bought already to begin with.
they're just not very good all around, they don't cool anywhere near as good as custom liquid cooling, and they don't offer anything that air can't do
if anything they can be louder because of the pump
and subjectively air cooling looks better
easier to install than a big air cooler
and they can handle more heat load than an air cooler if they are appropriatley sized
custom water cooling is just a LOT more expensive and a lot bigger of a hassle
debatable on whether they're easier to install, I find they're about the same
if im looking for pure performance for a build whats the best graphics card thats not insanely overpriced? good $ to perforamnce ratio
budget ?
But still objectively the better choice if it's water or water on a GPU of all things.
yea on a GPU aios just suck
Depends what do you mean by best graphics, some people want native, some people will defend that DLSS looks better than native
Rule of thumb is - if you want ray-tracing or DLSS, go GeForce, if not, go Radeon, simple as
overall 3k on a pc build
price to performance, 7900xtx
honestly just power for content creation with 4k 10bit footage
i play casual games aswell like val and r6 but mostly using davinici to edit 4k 10bit
I guess something 4070+ then
okay sweet thanks for the advice
I know a good bit about how to use a computer jnust not a lot about parts im still using a 1070 i got in a pre-built when i was 13 😂
if spending 3k (usd?) you can probably afford a 4080super
yes 3k usd overall
i doubt it’ll be overkill
okay sweet im just having lots of problems editing some of my vids and i know i need some pwoerful shit along with lots of memory
19 days till my birthday, i have 150 Euros budget and dont know what I should get
I am actually looking for a new mousepad and a mouse, and for christmas I may get an 240hz monitor
opi 8k is a really good mouse for that budget, although its wired its the fastest on the market rn and is only around 90 USD
it certainly improves things but wireless still nicer imo
Poor man's bungee - stick the cable to the back/underside of the desk
piece of tape
and tape it to the back of the monitor
add a bit of slack
and it works better than "proper" bungees
Yeah, but I have sliding keyboard thingy in my desk, so I just taped it to the underside
💀
Like so
what the crap is that
mouse on an extendable keyboard tray
and a piece of tape that attaches the mouse cable to the under side of the table
Better?
Yea i was thinking to get that for like weeks, but with wired id also need like an cable holder thing
But OP1 8k looks very good for the price
And I wouldnt have to charge it everyday 😄
im currently using the akitsu and honestly i want to try the opi
u mean where u normally plug the cable in, the corner is up angled? that sounds good

haha i dont want to replace it, ive just got an addiction with mice
yea and their wire is that trash rubbery stuff either, its a nice cable
seen that on mice 5 years ago
wut
the original XM1 cable was a stiffer rubber
ahh
yea i didnt know the word lol
(but also I would take a decent rubber cable over "paracord" ones)
yea because wired mice fell out of favor
rn im using the Pulsar x2v2 mini 4khz and it sucks having to charge it like every 10 hours or so of gaming sessions
^
just charge the mouse overnight
Just use 1k and realize it's all in your head
Id need something like this right?
the opi one has really good coating
esp for sweaty hands
so try it out before u buy tapes
But jitter when it comes to framerate that you wouldn't be able to see by yourself anyway and only in synthetic test with high speed camera

💀
Really hoping my laptop has a 2230 nvme I can re use on my steam deck as I plan to upgrade it to a 2tb 👀
Most laptops have 2260 or 2280
My Lenovo had 2230 for some reason haha
Well, one thing is true though
I can definitely see the difference between 125Hz and 1k
nope
nah
a lot of OEM laptops use shorter ones
I think imma get it anyways since i cant really play with cable hitting my monitor all the time so I think it will solve the problem
pretty much
i feel like an expensive mouse pad like an artisan isnt really worth, so if u want to use some of ur budget for the bungee go for it
i may get like an 30 bucks mousepad which is like idk 500x500mm
ive used an artisan hien soft, saturn pro soft, and a regular desk mousepad from amazon and i cant tell a difference, might just be me
my brother has an Artisan and is quite happy with it
Sounds like a win for your bank account
its from ⭐ Japan ⭐
Nope, he aint giving it to me

right now im using a brand new saturn pro soft i got today, as of yet i cant notice any sort of difference but i wouldn't take my opinion on mousepad stuff
i think a saturn pro is only abt 40$ tho so if u can squeeze in an extra 10 for ur birthday go for it
i see u play valorant, i would suggest a control mouse pad
have you looked into the EM-C mousepad ? not sure if its good or not
will look after the match
would people put their name on it if it wasn't?
this review goes pretty in depth
It's not bad if you're into a slightly faster and very smooth gliding pad
I got the EM-C in the car, im excited to get it ;D
Valve's upcoming Deckard VR headset is shaping up to be a game-changer. In this video, I cover the latest leaks about Proton ARM64 testing, which suggests that the Valve Deckard will function as a standalone hybrid VR headset. With Proton compatibility enabling Windows games to run on a Linux-based system, Deckard appears to be following the pat...
Its me taking the copium
I want the Deckard to be real so badly
There’s been so many leaks in the past 2-3 years and still no official announcement or information
Valve time

drove past fractal hq today
They got a nice HQ
decent lookin building yeah
like most companies here its shared with a bunch of other companies
Yeah, wonder how many of their rooms are using their new chairs
Better than ek's hq
fractal audio systems or another company?
ohh the cases
i really like fractal. have always had great experiences with stuff i buy
I want a meshify case with a mesh side panel from the north
tbh youd see its not the audio fractal from the logo
I really like my new pop case, first fractal product I've owned
there is a fractal audio company? TIL
had some minor nags when building it but pretty trivial ones
nice, i currently have a define r5 and super happy with it. might get a smaller fancy one next time
was mostly a pretty smooth experience to build in
woulda liked an opening or two more for some cabling but I made it work
cant say i know much about them but i remember they had an S made out of bolls or something as their logo
part of the blame could be on the fans for having a bit short cables too
maybe its not the best server to ask this but should i get the wooting60he or razer huntsman v3 pro (tkl)
neither
yeah shorter fan cables were a bit annoying in my build. replaced them with noctua and those thankfully came with extensions
then what
we're gonna give you the biased answer obvs
What’s better then the 80 or the 60 :)?
preference
do you like arrow and nav keys? then it's the 80!
Alr
yep
With the plastic or zinc alloy :)
do you like a tiny boi? 60
plastic vs zinc is also preference
also preference, some people prefer the 60he cause its small/compacter and doesnt take up much desk space. others prefer the bigger feel of the 80he and have the extra keys available. Note that all the options we provide (rappy snappy/rapid trigger etc.) is available on all our keyboards
can refer to this sound test also
there is only a difference in materials and sound for plastic vs zinc. nothing else
Nothing to how it feels?
ofc there is
metal feels...colder? I guess
am fine with plastic, don't need to use my keyboard as a boat anchor
zinc > plastic
preference
for me the 80he looks better in ghost and the frost case
yeah metal cases are just unnescessarily heavy imo
Why are some of the iso`s more expensive?
a pain when you want to take the kb with you
tho i love the tofu case on my 60he
New Intel Presentmon 2.2.0
Tbh I don't think id buy one myself, it's very nice but I still can't justify any metal cases.
How much heavier :)?
You can kill someone with it
Less overall plastic junk? Less microplastics? ).) not much else
I mean if u wanna do that rocks are cheaper
¯_(ツ)_/¯
i got zinc just because i wanted a white case. and im super happy with it
I mean sure..... But again, I love my white zinc but I wouldn't pay for a zinc case myself or aluminum, they are just heavy and cost much more
PCR ABS: 790 grams
Zinc alloy: 2160 grams yeah around 2.5x
shrug I got my 60HE silver alu case 35€ from aliex
even plastic isnt cheaper than that kek
well ye u can get 10€
It's probably just because I'm a cheapskate
its not like its disposable plastic though
also aftermarket cases aren't even better looking than stock in a lot of cases imo
But it's a keyboard you don't really have to lift it
Ok real talk do people actually carry their keyboards around
when I need to bring it somewhere I do yes
Honestly only since I got a wooting
I play tournaments away from home and I can’t bare using a regular keyboard
Mostly same
Only keyboard i'd think about moving would be like... a wireless keyboard
Also hi don
Dom
Hello!!
I had a 60% ducky I carried around before when I had a 96% as my main keyboard
if I plan on using a computer for any longer periods of time where am going I'll bring mouse and kb with me
But now I can’t seperate myself from the wooting
B650E best
b450 gang
👴
i dont have a reason to upgrade
sure when i had the 2600x
but 7000 series was very expensive
but instead i opted for the 5800x3d
considered getting 5800X3D and faster ram but woulda costed almost the same as just going with AM5 and a non-X3D cpu which I ended up doing instead
i was already on am4 soo it was waay cheaper for me
"cheaper" it costed me 360 euro xd
yeah had an am4 with 2700x and 2666mhz ram
woulda still have been stuck with ddr4 on that as well so AM5 just seemed more reasonable in my case
EU yes
Realisticly.. Most ppl run at most 1 ssd. Some 2. Veeeeery few more
me with 5 ssds be like
But why. Gif
my upgrade totalled to €539 with new mobo, 7600x, those 32gb kingston fury 6000mhz and a firecuda 1tb nvme
Because I can!
Run them on the pcie lanes or just use gpu at gen4 since we don’t even have gen5 gpus
I'm still running 1tb in my gaming pc.. Still enough
Nuh huh
without ssd its 540 euro for me
2x1tb nvme
3x1tb sata ssd
1x3tb hdd
And they all have stuff on them
XD
And i'm probably gonna add some more nvmes some day
1tb for system/games is fine imo, sure 2tb would be nicer but 1tb goes a long way as long as you don't need like a dozen games installed on it at once
I have a sata ssd in there as well.. I forgot how big it is as it's not even connected
do u really need the arrow keys on a keyboard?
Preference
I have a second older 1tb nvme ssd, a 480gb sata ssd and a 2tb spinnyboi for storage too
Do you ever type?
I got a 80HE specifically because am missing the arrow keys on my 60HE
yes
but im not sure if i wanna spend like 50 bucks for arrow keys lol
Let's just say that you could spend 60he money, find out youre missing keys and spend 80he money afterwards (or 2he money)
yea but its gonna take 3 months till i would get the 80he and my current is almost falling apart so the 60he is just more practical?
buy whichever keyboard you think is best
most important differenze is size
(don't forget about the wooting 2he)
I built a new pc a few weeks ago with 2tb and i only have ~600gb of space left
Dozen games aint a lot
Ohno, only almost 50%
Two thirds have been used and i havent had it for even a month yet
Pretty good. I am hoping to get my next PC for less than 20 000 NOK.
I had already forgotten how much space modern games take
I got 8 games installed on my OS drive atm and sitting at 306gb left
I don't even play half of them regularly
but we all have different requirements
Acquire gigabit LAN, uninstall games you haven't touched in a week with extreme prejudice.

well yeah even a 100gb game takes like half hour to download and install at most
or even easier just sell drives and put stuff on one 4 or 8tb drive
that's fine for me
btw the 60he and 80he the only d iffrence is just the size rigth like performance wise
basically yes
i mean Hungarians salery is around 1400 euro
no its bad
20k norwegian should get you a pretty slapping machine
especially if you can migrate some parts from your previous one
That I can't.
Since my previous build was gutted and sold to pay rent.
rip
can i still use wooting keybaord for cs2 or i get kicked
of course you can, just disable the socd thing
nice
Guys I know this isn’t tech but what desk is kgu using 😭🙏 I tried joining their server to ask but I don’t speak French
I just want a spacious desk
Could be an IKEA desk of some kind. Looks very basic.
That’s white lol and simplistic
I mean just measure what size fits in your room and just google for white desk in that size
or check the catalogue of the nearest store that would sell them
I’m planning on putting my ps5 and pc on the table so I need a lot of room if I don’t want to squeeze in the monitor keyboard etc
I have a NZXT h9 flow so you can imagine how much space it’ll take up
Yea I guess I’ll put it on the floor until I can upgrade the desk later on
I’m kinda scared tho bc I have a really curious bratty cat
He obliterated my Mac book charger
Cable tray ?
Or just cable hiders ?
Permanent solution for the cat
cartoons were pretty metal back in the day
Just make sure it's at least 30" deep
Plenty of space for crazy monitor stands and a large mousepad
Ryujinx is kill
The Ryujinx Discord server has paused invites for the moment, and additionally, one of the Discord mods posted the following message:
"To clarify, it's not a DMCA, it's not an issue with GitHub. Please wait for further information and refrain from spreading misinfo thanks."
no dmca notice on the git page that tracks dmca so thats true, wonder whats going on
Gdkchan got contacted by nintendo
Damn I was hella active in there and it’s like one of the three discords I’m in lol
People still have the code, shouldn't be possible to redistribute what's already made
There will be no people to actively maintain it tho
That's the sad part
Right before switch 2 too
At least, according to rumor, switch 2 is compatible with switch 1. Like Wii U to Wii
Maybe not, just in case
dm me if you dont mind, am curious
same
f1 f2 f3 f4 f5 etc are much more important than arrow keys for games - i use em constantly, and since i also use modifiers for 12345 etc already you can't really go further into modifier soup
Oh yea that’s true fuck
they are used all the time for mmo & rts etc
i would find it very weird if somebody didn't play any games that didn't want to use f keys
and also did not plan on it for like the next 5 years or w/e
you are just 1 game announcement from having to use a walmart keyboard while waiting for one that has the keys you need
with an 80HE at least i am confident that minor remapping would be the worst possibility
i have never used f keys in any of my games lol i remap all my keys to mouse etc
so i can access them faster
i am not aware of a single competitive rts or mmo player that does that
can you post rankings and hotkey setup then
for what game ?
whatever mmo or rts you rank on
ok give me like 20 mins
if wooting made a uwu mouse with a scroll wheel with rapid trigger might take off as some people feel like they have to put a lot of force on the mouse clicks
how tf would scroll have rapidtrigger
not the scroll wheel
so you could have a really sensitive mouse click
A lot of gaming mice lets you push down on it like its a controller button.
oh yeah middle click
All mice with scroll wheel do?
I've never seen a mouse that didnt
Wasn't always the case.
I don't go out to buy a lot of mice. But I have had several where it was scroll only.
Huh, I don't remember ever having used those mice
Intrigued to see them though
How do you pay respects?
Nintendo really is the best
I assume they’re doing this because of the switch 2 that will be backwards compatible with the switch itself
From the people who RE the latest switch firmware, you can see the obvious clues
NOOOOO first pal world now this???
Nintendos lawyers really trying to get that bag wtf
I mean they're spending money on shutting down ryujinx they literally offered the devs money to make them stop and they said yes
Not getting money from then
It makes Nintendo money in the long run
We have no clue if nintendo ever offered any money at all
Redditors doing what redditors do lol
wonder what that means of forks, unlike yuzu they dont have anything to go after forks if a deal was struck so someone else could pick it up again
Forks will most likely get yeeted as well
Yeah, the agreement could’ve been “shut it down or we will sue”
with what power though, yuzu forks they could use dmca takedown systems
if there isnt any like this and the fork was propely made with the mit license and all, unless they just go to everyone who forks it they cant really dmca them
I’m going to be honest, with recent rulings being overturned. Yeah they really could in America.
what exactly do you mean
If Nintendo sued in the us they could go judge shopping and easily win the case.
theres a common thread with the current rulings that doesnt really stretch to help nintendo
I didnt say the cant sue I said they cant just use the same dmca takedowns for forks of the repo
Who knows, they have successfully taken down lockpick_rcm
And DMCA’d any other forks as well
yeah yuzu got dmca'd so any clones of it can just be taken down via that, I'm just saying ryujinx didnt get dmca'd so you cant just dmca the forks and have that be automatically resolved
hahahaha
I assume Suyu has the same performance level as Yuzu had?
cause Ryujinx is super laggy compared to Yuzu
😅 holyshit, the Android build is HELLA popular....didnt expect that
Suyu is just a rebrand of yuzu with little to no changes
and self hosted on a self hosted git repo!
Only like one change and it was code stolen from sudachi
Is it a literal drop in replacement to Yuzu? I assume it is other than changing the app name in the scripts?
maybe I could add this back to Emudeck on my own system
No it’s not really a replacement
I have mods for Mariokart and the game is too laggy in Ryujinx ;-;
None of them know anything
but Yuzu with mods was silky smooth
It better run good with all of the hacky shit they put in the emulator lol
Gpu accuracy hack is also a big factor
Ryujinx works well for most people I know using it if it's not on low power hardware
not great on Deck ;-;
Even if it’s good on deck, AMD drivers are pretty bad for switch emulation in a lot of games
I cant figure out how to change the mode on Ryujinx.... between Handheld and docked
Seems it automatically chooses for me and I dont want that
It’s on docked by default
Id prefer to force it to Handheld mode to get the better performance
You can change it in the settings
where???
Wait you’re on a steamdeck lol
not rn but yeah, I use Ryujinx on one
Also my mistake, I don’t think you can change the default.
Default to changing it is a hotkey
F9
Or you can just click on it on the bottom left
Could’ve sworn there was an option
Bottom left, there should be a bar with info on there
in Suyu yes, not Ryujinx
Lol
BRUH
ITS HERE?????!!!
no wonder I didnt find it
why tf is a setting related to PERFORMANCE under the Input settings??
Oh there it is
its a physical control, with all the other physical controls
It’s not really related to performance
The switch has two modes
Docked and handheld
yeah, which affect performance
handheld usually drops down to 720p 30FPS
while docked goes up to 1080p 60FPS
"720p" "1080p"
720p handheld and then whatever resolution the external display is you plugged it into when docked
rarely
perhaps in menus
its still at those settings on the display it sends out regardless of game performance
Btw one of the devs released the unfinished ios/android/libryujinx source code if anyone is interested
O my
ah yes pull right close to the breaker limit
who even needs this lol
Did boomer computers power the monitors using the PC's PSU?
of what requiring triple the power of the 4090?
i heard its still just 1
those images most likely display smth where you COULD use the PSU to loop through power to another device
with a c13 to c14 cable you can then use 1 wallsocket to power 2 devices
the psu itself doesnt power the monitor/device attached to the out going port though
but since monitors have moved further away from the pc over time this was removed and now that people put their pc on the desk again it may or may not come back who knows
that rumour is someone made up after they saw a psu that has 2 12 pins
there is another psu that has 3 or 4, based on that logic the 5090 would need 3 or 4 12 pins
so doesnt make much sens and the rumour doesnt have any credibility
given that a high quality thick enough 12pin can carry 600watts im pretty sure were fine
thats 150 headroom from what the 4090 officially draws
woah
that sure is something
how to pop a residential breaker 101 xD
Whoever bought into the AI hypetrain and bought 4 4090s and a threadripper system.
Does anyone know how I can depend on a git submodule external/openssl in a CMake project?
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/45548088/include-openssl-in-a-cmakelist-txt-file
you can probably do it by explicitly setting OPENSSL_ROOT_DIR to point to external/openssl
That won’t even work with an outlet 😭
a consumers outlet atleast
it will for any eu folks
Why not?
200-240v only
Not available
Sure you can unplug your dryer or something and buy an adapter but uhhh
Or just use a totally approved extension cable.
wut?
you just need a dedicated 20 amp circuit
US residential is two AC hot lines and* a neutral. That way you can use one half to get 120 volts, or combine the two hots for 240 volt.
20a 240v would have no problems, but residential outlets only have 1 phase
20 amps at 120 volts is 2400 watts.
circuit breaker design is typically rated at 80% duty cycle
and a psu needs more than the nameplate wattage as an input
remember these psus are rated by their output not their input
my tilde key is stuck blue
i can change it to other colors but not white
i think its the red part of the LED that's broken
blue and green work fine but red doesnt at all. If i change the colors to white, it goes to a teal color
You can use two outlets on two circuits to get a single phase of 240VAC.
change it to red and see what happens
sounds like led failure tho
Pull your oven out and use that outlet. Mine is 3 phase 400V 25A🤡💀
thats the problem
If I had my own place I'd definitely get a 240VAC circuit for computers for the funnies.
MAN
i think he renamed and blocked me lol
That seems better for sure, but honestly all else being the same more keys more better
there is a >10cm gap between the right side of my 80HE and the edge of my mousepad
with the keyboard being 34.6cm wide
removing keys from a layout is strictly a negative thing for me, they are not hurting anything. The keyboard could be 45cm instead of 34.6cm without intruding on anything at all
an ideal keyboard would have even more keys added
even that one has some really weird and important omissions like no prntscreen
and ins/delete are missing on the k2, while home/end are missing instead on the 80he
although with wooting you can swap keycaps and rebind them in onboard memory, so you can choose
you might be surprised to learn that european houses and many newer american ones have access to 3 phases
my wootings rgb remains green even though i turned off rgb, and now it doesnt change at all, any fix?
its in eco mode
how do i turn that off
For me its sounds like the leds died all red and blue side
its not being detected by wootility
i just got this keyboard no longer then a week ago
As RGB
no like the keyboard itself
how? is it the fn and delete button thing? if so i tried and it didnt connect
just did it and still
yes
its not being detected
and if it does it connects and reconnects
yes
yea it just keeps disconnecting
its not the cable ive tried another, and its not the port
that solved the RGB issue, could that also be why it kept disconnecting and reconnecting to wootility?
thats weird though cause signal rgb never connected to my wooting
do u really need the f1-12 keys?
gaming
i dont really use them often but cant u just rebind keys no?
i am blob :)
u can make like custom keys yk like Fn and someother key to do the same as the f keys no?
can u like alt f4 without the f keys are there like other key combos do that?
I use mod tap for that
tap 4 to get 4, hold down 4 to get F4
you can also do alt > fn > 4 if you got F4 on the fn layer but that's less convenient imo
my current keyboard is falling apart and i dont wanna wait till early december for the 80he lol
so idk if i want to get the 60he
between mod tap and fn layers you can make the 60% layout work quite conveniently for you
I came from using a fullsize all my life and adapted pretty quickly
Having other apps running that try to take control of RGB is a well known issue.
They can literally disconnect the keyboard from Wootility.

A third-party company - Acros Security - thinks it has a way to keep Windows 10 secure enough to use past 2025. The product is called 0patch - how does it work, and what are the benefits and drawbacks?

240 million computers.... yikes
Just like every previous version of Windows...
Yeah but these ones arent eligible due to Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements
so they cant downgrade to 11
I fail to see what I said has anything to do with that.
windows xp
most PCs could upgrade from the previous version to the new one without changing hardware except from 10 to 11 unless you are techy enough to know how to bypass it
Yes - Because for once Microsoft has added new hardware requirements.
i dont think most people care about the requirements, modern computers support it anyways
Nothing new there. It's not like Windows 10 is going to vanish.
i dont either to be honest, just upgraded to win 11
It is next year, unless someone maintains security patches in the community
Microsoft still releases security patches for old ass OS'es.
If you pay for extended support, yeah
Anyone can download those with.. google
If security was your concern in the first place, you'd be getting a Win11 compliant machine in the first place.
fam
might be top 3 funniest statements today and ive seen a guy get the wrong layout
The steps shown in the video is literally all you need to do. So your argument is either irrelevant, or irrelevant 😄
it doesnt show steps
people are either gonna run into a wall and realize they have to get a new computer to run win11, or if they are too broke and use an old computer they'll end up googling how to keep using win10 or haxx their old machine to run 11
just says about what the software does, not how or where to get it or use it xd
if you arent techy enough to google you are either updating to 11 because you dont know anything or arent going to run that old hardware anyway
or have a relative that can fix it
An article you found by google doesn't show steps? What are you on about.
?
people will figure out a solution one way or another
or they have a situation like I had with my desktop computer, where 10 said I was not eligible for the 11 Upgrade because I didnt have TPM 2...but I actually did and it was disabled by default, and once I enabled it in BIOS, I was able to get 11
Most people in that situation wont know how to check to see if they can enable TPM 2 in BIOS and be under the assumption they need a new desktop
If only the Windows installer told you to contact your manufacturer for help to figure this out or something.
if you are running hardware that cant use win11 I found a cheap upgrade for you
they'll figure it out eventually if they can't afford a new machine because they have to
maybe
if you have a dell prebuilt you're going to contact dell when it doesnt work and they tell you how to activate it
Or you're going to a local PC store to get help.
uwu
best thing would be if linux stepped up their game and made a more computer illiterate friendly distro and welcomed people to use that so a larger audience could just switch to that as a solution
but that's like asking for peace in the middle east, ain't happening

THe main issue with Linux adoption is the fact you need to manually install it
Once its installed, its easy to use
If you buy a computer with Linux preinstalled like Tuxedo or System76, then the actual day to day usage is easy AF
