I myself have a an expensive XLR mic setup, but honestly now days there’s a lot of good quality USB powered mic’s that the quality is eerily similar to XLR especially for the price you’d save.

I’d say just do your research, avoid the super mainstream/gamer mic options like the Blue Yeti and you’ll be happy with your choice.

I spent in the hundreds for a SM7B and an audio processor+audio interface before the GoXLR existed,

If had the choice I’d buy a Shure MV7, an Elgato Wave 3 or a Rode NT-USB+ depending on the budget and preferred sound.

Those are definitely in the more expensive range for USB mic’s but even if you were a popular streamers I love the sound of those microphones they’re on par with XLR. If it’s just for discord any decently reviewed mic on Amazon on sale will do

Bro you're on A FREAKING 7950x3D playing Lunar Client. Sure there's marginal improvements and optimizations you could do, but for your question I think 99% of people with a high end computer have a high end computer to not have to worry about the 1% improvement and just enjoy everything they're doing at the max of what's currently possible without having to mess around too much.

Not the answer your looking for I know and I'm also being a b, but I was part of a group that spent a lot of time optimizing Windows for Badlion and Lunar and in the end if your computer was good enough there was genuinely no need to shoot yourself in the foot this much for the marginal performance increase you'd get.

(My personal opinion, I felt like ranting I still find it cool trying to minmax performance)
