You could look around for used 3600X, a bit better than 12100F, B450 board should also be quite cheap, and you get an option to stuff 5800X3D down the line
And for used GPU try getting 1660 Super instead, quite a better option than RX 580 at around the same price

Yes and no, zen5 has really screwed up inter-CCX latencies for no apparent reason and is having more scheduler problems with multi ccx

inter-ccx is 180ns on zen5 vs 76ns on zen4 at spec

core-to-core latency within a ccx also got 30-40% slower

It also doesn't appear to be a granite ridge problem, as strix point (a completely different die APU) has the same problem - we all assumed it was just a stupid strix point issue until now

Some of the CPU's like the 5930k i think were pretty nice, but Intel dropped the ball for game performance when they swapped to mesh interconnect instead of rings. It brought latency up quite a lot and hurt games disproportionately, usually making HEDT perform worse than standard desktop parts.

I think the only "unfixable" issue i had with windows (which is what i'd call an issue that needs a reinstall) was when i did a clean install after swapping from intel to amd and happenned to use a bad usb stick and it lead to a corrupted os so i just had to do it twice lol. Besides that i had been using the same OS on the same drive since 2013... All the way from windows 8.1 on a 3770k rig. Just kept using the same os updating it to 10 then 11 anx across multiple intel platforms. Just clearled my old drivers myself and never really had any unfixable issues with windows or issues that were fixed randomly

Somehow someway my windows explorer broke at one point and it would cause my pc to lag a lot every few seconds

I‘d have to restart the process and it would fix it for a few minutes

Then i reinstalled windows and everything is fine
