Might be useful to @fair gull here's how i setup my fans for my nh u12a on the 7800x3d, keeps it quiet

Just a super slow almost flat ramp with fan smoothing, it's not really worth having a super aggressive fan curve with a 7800x3d as pushing more air through the heatsink generally doesn't do much

Basically it only ever goes to 100% if the cpu gets pegged compiling shaders or something

And technically the noctua did run cooler

But for the price it’s not worth it

a few degrees of difference won't be worth the extra 80-100$ premium for many expensive coolers
the only reason to get them is if you're looking for other things aside from performance such as aesthetics or loudness
