Where did you guys mention that tachyon makes the actuation point inconsistent? I really hope you guys will fix this. Cause this isn't the high standard to improve and release the best product which was the reason I bought a wooting in the first place

It is also something I know Simon is working actively on improving for all keyboards.

hello wooting,

i just got my wooting 60he and am very happy with it. there is only one problem with my r key. if i press the r key once sometimes this happens: rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. it seems to only happen with the r key. is there something i can do about it or does someone know where i can go with my problem, thanks in advance.

i have my actuation on 0.1 mm and dont have rapid trigger on the r key. it happens when i press an fully let go of r.

Anyone here know Android Studio, my code works fine if I select Car or Bike since they display all 5 variables in the activity //

Other1 is the actual name of the file

They are .webp format cause Android studio seems to like that format

fair gull

it doesnt magically exist that im sure about

wheat plume

R is the Resource Manager
It's just part of Android Studio

near coral

i know how to enable it in the wooting app... but then its just not active

reef patrol
#

You asked, I answered.

What's not working exactly

near coral
#

like as soon as i open the wooting app the lighting set in wooting takes over

reef patrol
#

Yes?

near coral
#

how do i make it go back to chroma connect

reef patrol
#

You close down Wootility

near coral
#

i wish it was that simple.. i usually have to restart my pc.. unless i can get the wootility program in the program tray bottom right there is a right click toggle

#

but idk how to put wootily there manually

reef patrol
#

You don't.

solemn remnant
#

you don't need to keep wootility open, just set your settings, save your profiles and never open it again unless you need a firmware update or want to change something

reef patrol
#

It's not designed to be always running

#

What's the end goal here? To have Razer's Chroma RGB enabled?

near coral
near coral
#

but not just in the apps (wootilty and synapse) but to be active even after opening wootility one time on my pc after startup

solemn remnant
#

you can change it with fn+p

#

or just fn+enter actually

reef patrol
#

So the question is actually how to move your 2nd profile to the first slot, so you don't need to open Wootility at sll

solemn remnant
#

also: if you are not using gamepad binds in profile two, you can drag it to the top of your active profiles and it will load that every time instead

#

(though currently you have to duplicate the profile you want and then drag it from the inactive profiles to the top of your active profiles)

near coral
solemn remnant
#

have you tried restarting just chroma connect?

reef patrol
#

You'll have to ask Razer about that one.

solemn remnant
#

yeah idk about that one

near coral
#

syapse, even from within task manager fully closing it

solemn remnant
#

anyway easiest for you would be to make the profile you want the topmost profile or just change with fn+enter

Vs Snapdragon 8 gen 2, CPU is 65% better, GPU is 55%, LPDDR5X RAM + UFS 4.0 storage is 33% faster, while the UX scored over 50% higher.

Snapdragon 8 gen 3 is supposed to be a marginal upgrade over g2, so not going to be anywhere near as fast as that

#

Mediatek out there to compete with Apple or something

old marlin
#

Bet it is pc market

#

So they have a ton of power budget

cursive summit
#

You think they'll offer it for chromebooks of sorts basically?

old marlin
#

Possible at least

cursive summit

At that power level, yes

#

Mediatek always struck me as a weird company

old marlin
#

Or like light windows on arm laptops/tablets

cursive summit

Plenty people don't like them, yet they seem to be going through an evolution of sorts

#

Good to see that, hope Qualcomm gets competition

#

Exynos needs to step up massively

old marlin

#

A54 doesn't completely suck

cursive summit
#

Exynos still seems to be below Snapdragon levels

#

But maybe they are cheaper

old marlin

Fast enough so nobody can complain

#

Power efficient enough

cursive summit
#

And quite hot, no?

old marlin
#

Well not with the a54

cursive summit
#

Well, alright

old marlin
#

Since they are more efficient

#

Dunno about in general

cursive summit
#

Ah yeah this weird anomalous result could be explained by obscene power targets

#

That a phone wouldn't sustain

#

I highly doubt they just 60+% on Snapdragon

old marlin
#

Yea they might just have a stupid high power budget mode

#

Dunno how much a normal mobile soc is targeting

cursive summit
#

Although 4 Cortex-X4 cores is a bit wild, those are strong cores

old marlin
#

But for a laptop they can prob easily go to 10w

cursive summit
#

Oh shit that explains why they are absolutely massacring Snapdragon

#

8 gen 2 has only 1 X3 core

#

X cores as far as I'm getting are power cores

#

You don't really put more than 1-2 in a SoC

#

Mediatek just slapped 4 lol

#

So yeah this seems less of a smartphone SoC and maybe tablets/laptops

#

Need to look up the new Snapdragon X series for PCs specs

old marlin
#

Lol

cursive summit
#

Yeah doesn't say what cores they are using

#

But I will assume this is more powerful than the Mediatek chip

old marlin
#

"best in class vs x86"

#

Whichever class this is

cursive summit
#

But 4 Cortex-X4 cores seems absolutely insane

#

Snapdragon only uses 1

#

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is not out yet and it uses only 1 Cortex-X4 as well

So the power efficiency must be really bad

Apparently it has coil whine?

#

On a mobo

#

What fuckin coils are whining

#

It's Asus anyways, asus is shit

warm night
#

a sus

slim sonnet
#

is the recent anger at ASUS still coming from their AM5 mobo problems?

warm night
#

will say my asus board was a big upgrade in terms of being able to actually use my hardware vs my old asrock board

cursive summit
#

I just hate Asus in general

warm night
#

and maybe a few % in benchmarks since asus bios actually doesnt remove random overclocking features i used

crisp granite
# crisp granite worth grabbing?

meh
I can always just get it
and assuming it's really bad
go to Asus, or just...return it on Newegg
I have until january to return

cursive summit
#

Horrible quality of their products

warm night
#

if you can return it theres no reason not to give it a try

#

i guess

slim sonnet
#

i just hate all motherboards cause not the weird onboard audio chips are cheap enough that they are on fucking EVERY BOARD

#

so all mobos have soundcards now

warm night
#

because like 99% of people do not give a single shit

#

it just works and makes sound

#

so its fine

slim sonnet
#

majj but i cant make REAL do a lower number anymore

warm night
#

if it didnt have that people would cry

#

and if they made it really good then people would be overpaying

#

me when you have like 5ms of audio latency instead of 10

#

you are going to definitely notice that

#

but like seriously its not gonna make a difference

slim sonnet
#

speaking of audio latency like that my focusrite scarlett has been going nutty with static/dropouts recently

#

even with high buffer size

warm night
#

time for an upgrade

#

trollface

slim sonnet
#

yes tho

#

i think i bought the 2i2 3rd gen when it came out

cursive summit
#

Why the scarlett

slim sonnet
#

why did i initially buy it?

cursive summit
#

It's cheap mediocrity

warm night
#

i wanna buy a nice dac/amp combo or single unit whatever but i kinda have no reason to (rn)

#

like im only using iems

slim sonnet
#

yeah agreed

warm night
#

really dont need any more power

#

may invest in some cool over ears at some point but i am not a money spawner so we will have to wait

slim sonnet
#

i might switch to IEMs if i can find some that dont cause too much pressure/fatigue

#

ive pretty much always used openback headphones

warm night
#

yea i had trouble with that i just returned the ones i had issues with

slim sonnet
#

so the soundscape on IEMs is completely opposite

cursive summit
#

Open is god

cursive summit

etymotic ear violation

slim sonnet
#

@ornate lily HMMM i think i remember people saying these can be very very comfy when worn properly

warm night
#

i believe the whole ear violating thing is overblown and a meme

cursive summit
#

Etymotic is fine

warm night
#

but they do go in pretty far i know that

cursive summit
#

Just ear drilldos

warm night
#

wanna try open backs, only really ventured into semi-decent audio recentlyish and only tried iems

ornate lily
warm night
#

ill probably be looking for some in a few months time

cursive summit
warm night
#

yea

#

i dont have that money rn

#

but thats the price bracket i would be looking at when i do

cursive summit
#

Fair nuff

warm night
#

gotta save for these things

#

being a student is hard my money just vanishes

ornate lily
#

I've only used their -20DB plugs... those were about the same or shallower I thought.

#

hah.

slim sonnet
#

im also trying to decide if i should just sell my Shure SM7B and get the BEACN Mix Create+Mic HMMM

ornate lily
#

I'll admit I'm good about cleaning my ears when the ER4s are in the rotation.

slim sonnet
#

or one of the other of the various things similar to the GoXLR that have came out over the past couple years

#

but not the GoXLR cause they fired their entire support staff apparently Sadge

#

BEACN is apparently made by people from the design team of the GoXLR though

smoky frigate
#

@final flame I bit the bullet and got a used Dethonray Honey H1 on ebay. a bit of technical fuckery of getting it to work and a nail-biting firmware update over a windows VM later, it began to sing like a birdie. I completely love the sound it outputs. it comfortably drives my 60 ohm headphones, and I've been listening to music for a few hours now. I really like this thing, subjectively it sounds every bit as good as I imagined it, and it surprises me at many angles. It does sound sibilant at times, but not annoyingly so (to me). that's about as good as I can describe it without engaging in nonsensical adjectives.

objectively, it probably measures terribly. if I was an object, I would mind!

final flame
#

In end it doesn't really matter whether it objectively measures worse that other stuff

In the end it's what you like

I want to try a bunch of stuff as all I have is my schiit magni and modi stack, I can hear the difference between amps but I just want to listen to the different sides of the scale, both of flavored sound and distilled and pure sound

smoky frigate
#

between this and my super linear sound card, I prefer this

#

though electronic music benefits by far the most, has to be said

#

still, it works in many directions. psytrance sounds more psy, metal guitars sound a tick meaner, tape rips have just a wee bit of spice now

final flame
#

I really want to try a few things from topping, specifically the a70 and d70 afaik is their names

Topping is known to have very clinical sound and I want to listen to something from them too see if I'll like it

The DAC of that stack also apparently has a cool feature where it can emulate almost a kind of tube sound

mint rose
#

does anyone know how to disable gpu accelaration support on wootility?

#

it makes my driver text blurry

final flame
#

That's not caused by GPU acceleration

#

That's caused by windows dpi scaling

mint rose
#

only a few apps do these though

final flame
#

It could also be a cleartype issue

#

It is weird though how all of it is blurry even the keys

#

I'd say it's most likely windows scaling

solemn remnant
#

does the web version look the same for you?

mint rose
#

nope

solemn remnant
#

Right-click the application, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and then select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings check box.

does this do anything for you? you need to restart the app for this to take effect

sorry about that

ornate lily

Nope... Don't have a 7800XT 🙂

crisp granite

I fail to understand why it exists

crisp granite

well...not really

Good developments for Nvidia

old marlin

they did before the acqusition

halcyon moss
#

Yeah.. What's in the switch vex?

cursive summit
#

In which Switch, 2?

old marlin
#

the one right now

cursive summit
#

Which one havo

old marlin
#

not to mention datacenter

old marlin
halcyon moss
#

Doesn't matter which one

cursive summit
#

No they don't

#

Erista is Tegra X1, Mariko and OLED are Tegra X1+ iirc

#

I can't remember what the mini one has

umbral heron
#

Lite also runs X1+

cursive summit
#

Ah yeah they called it X2

old marlin
#

so what are they

cursive summit
#

Blackbox magic fuckery as far as I'm confirmed

#

Switch 2 is shaping to be T234 or 239 which makes me very sad

halcyon moss
#

It's a arm cpu

cursive summit
#

You know even if Nintendo continues to settle for outdated hardware, Ampere isn't that bad right

#

It's not Ada Lovelace, or newest generation of Arm cores, but they are fine..

umbral heron
#

Nintendo settles for outdated hardware because of their contract with Nvidia ;-;

cursive summit
#

Well there was a report recently that Nvidia seems to be more interested in working with Nintendo personally, not just giving them Tegra scraps

old marlin
cursive summit
#

I hope that some wild leak that said Atlan is coming back from the dead, might magically turn out true

#

Atlan would be top end hardware which I hope happens

halcyon moss
#

its such a weird statement. it was quite power efficient at that time

old marlin
umbral heron
#

If we're talking ARM APUs

old marlin
umbral heron
#

But it's x86

old marlin
#

and?

cursive summit
umbral heron
#

And Nintendo loves their ARMs

cursive summit
#

Tegras are far stronger than Adreno

old marlin
cursive summit
#

Adreno is a shite mobile gpu, don't equate it to Nvidia's ones

old marlin
#

they used to use MIPS and powerpc

#

switch is the first arm console from them

cursive summit
old marlin
#

wdym

umbral heron
#

Wii and Wii U are PowerPCs

old marlin
#

well ds kinda out of necessity

#

gbc cpu was funny

umbral heron
#

Still, they have experience with ARMs in handhelds, worked out pretty great for them, I doubt they'd move from ARMs in the future

old marlin
#

it's some weird Z80 intel 8080 hybrid

cursive summit
#

There's literally no reason for them to abandon Tegra

#

Maybe if AMD offers some cheaper custom solution that could happen

umbral heron
#

Bing ffs ;-;

old marlin
#

well they prob would want to go for the most efficient cpu

cursive summit
#

Intel is doa so and Nvidia loves Nintendo

old marlin
umbral heron
old marlin
#

it's a custom cpu from sharp tho

#

not sure if it has a public name

cursive summit
#

Tbf I also see Qualcomm being somewhat relevant in gaming handhelds

#

Or Mediatek

umbral heron
#

I want back to using Google ;---;

cursive summit
#

Qualcomm mainly

old marlin
#

we'll see

old marlin
cursive summit
#

But I still use bing cause google bad

#

So I tend to shuffle between both cause bing is absolute trash

halcyon moss

and the option next to google is.. bing?

umbral heron
halcyon moss
#

why not duckduckgo

cursive summit
old marlin
#

huh

cursive summit

Duckduckgo never gave me any good search results when I ever tried to use it

umbral heron

Best one $2 can buy dogekek

cursive summit
#

Ok wtf is "reflex compatible"

#

Since when does Reflex extend from just display tech

old marlin

just means they paid nvidia to be on a funny list

cursive summit
old marlin

that tells you mouse click delay

old marlin
cursive summit
#

Tbf Ikea in general is cheap but mid

Which is good enough for most

stray flicker
#

Current mousepad: 0$

cursive summit
#

Mousepads are getting insanely overrated nowadays and I don't get why

old marlin

clout

old marlin

even worse part is that official reflex testing is not even reliable

stray flicker
#

nvidia

umbral heron
#

ikr, the only difference is a value on some random youtube graphs

stray flicker

The biggest asshole but yet we still buy from them because their product is too good to boycott them

old marlin

not even

difference is that they appear on nvidias list

that being said

asus has decent mouse firmware
