- TS is great, but it's an extra build step for an interpreted language and in large projects leads to "type gymnastics", JSDoc is also great and helps avoid type gymnastics, but it bloats your codebase with comments.

- Module system is a nightmare, what is it? AMD? CommonJS? ESModules?
- JS is used for things JS should not be used for. I think someone created an OS with it somehow. It's not a fast language (but then again it isn't slow, compared with python)

Linux is the only OS that allows the user to escalate and then modify everything in the entire OS. A bad actor needs to get into your account and then Ring0 is fucked. That's a really stupid vuln.
