#

Everyone laughs at it

#

Though, it was pretty good

#

I kinda liked the idea of HDD cache addons

#

But that should have come in like, 2008 lul

ashen spindle
#

I feel like you are kinda missing what optane is

#

that is one small part of it and imo the least useful

cursive summit
#

I mean optane in general was a memory thing

#

From RAM to what, accelerated SSDs

reef patrol
#

It was a poor attempt at giving HDDs a last lease of life on the consumer market.

cursive summit
#

The one that stood out to me the most was the HDD accelerator

#

The idea was novel

#

But it came out like years late

ashen spindle
reef patrol
#

Too bad - It's what people remember, cause it's what Intel marketed hard and eventually had to get mobo manufacturers to include for free to get rid of stock šŸ˜„

shadow minnow
#

Nope

cursive summit
#

I mean I can't get mad at them

#

Nowadays mass HDD storage is really cheap

ashen spindle
#

doesnt matter, most optane stuff is not consumer grade so doesnt matter what people remember

cursive summit
#

Adding fast cache to make them faster is still, to some, relevant

ashen spindle
#

thats not the reason they are shutting it down

cursive summit
ashen spindle
#

server products dont care what you remember about them or not

mild dome
#

True might be glare from another light source?

shadow minnow
#

It happens without another light source on

#

And distance isn’t too different from a laptop

#

Brightness is lower or same than usual for me

#

Only thing that’s different rn is my fps mostly being lower dogekek

mild dome
#

Icons and text too small maybe, or maybe you need glasses

shadow minnow
#

And the screen

ashen spindle
#

that could mean its too dark especially if you have it dark behind the screen so its harder contrast for the eyes

#

and yes low refresh rate doesnt help

shadow minnow
#

Well maybe it’s somehow that since the monitor is running at variable goes lower than my other devices usually do but still idk

frozen ingot
#

what cpu/ram config should I aim for

cursive summit
#

Heh

#

DDR4 or 5

frozen ingot
#

that is the question

cursive summit
#

So Intel or AMD basically

#

What workloads

#

Gaming or productivity

ashen spindle
#

no the first question is how urgent is it

frozen ingot
#

mostly gaming, maybe some audio work

cursive summit
#

I mean yeah I'd always suggest waiting like 3 months

ashen spindle
#

since new generation is coming soon

cursive summit
#

Raptor seems really good

shadow minnow
#

I would suggest getting some 400gbps ram

frozen ingot
#

been kinda used to going intel on every new platform

#

but last time I did was early 2010s

ashen spindle
#

if you can wait like 2-3 months I would say do that, both amd and intel will have new stuff then

frozen ingot
#

that would be better

#

if I can trust myself to sit on the money until then mm

shadow minnow
#

But I wonder about the fps because I don’t recall getting so much eye strain with some other game that runs way higher

ashen spindle
#

amd will have a new platform so it would be something you can then upgrade in years to come without changing ram or board

shadow minnow
#

Intel may have new platform but they do that about every generation mm

#

Okay every other

frozen ingot
#

am going for mobo/cpu+cooler/ram this time around

#

if am gonna wait til next gen I may as well try and fit ddr5 on that budget

ashen spindle
#

well prices are coming down so its not going to cost much more than ddr4 would

IM SO CONFUSED WTF THIS IS

Steam Link speakers.

wheat plume

i no haz steam link

astral haven

It's built into steam

wheat plume

is it cause im sharing my library with family share?

It's for in home streaming

@fickle ore enjoy the legacy hardware while you can šŸ˜›

astral haven

frozen ingot

is that in a steam deck or somethin

wheat plume

literally my desktop

#

hmm, yeah, I think Deck has it built in

#

cause it has really good game streaming

shadow minnow
wheat plume
#

odd

#

where does it play sound to LOL?

shadow minnow
#

It’s when you share to another device

#

So you like play on your mac a game that windows is running

#

So windows sends audio info to steam

#

Steam sends it over to the MacBook

wheat plume
#

ooh, so its a virtual output?

astral haven
#

Yes

shadow minnow
#

I think so

frozen ingot
#

looks like steams virtual audio i/o yea

wheat plume
#

how tf i open the legacy sound panel to disable these

reef patrol
#

Legacy? Why?

wheat plume
#

cause you cant do this in the modern settings

ashen spindle
#

you can

reef patrol
#

Yes you can.

wheat plume
#

??

ashen spindle

wheat plume

where???

reef patrol
#

In... the new sound control panel

ashen spindle
wheat plume

?

ashen spindle

idk its like as much non-hidden as it gets

wheat plume
reef patrol
#

Now click one of them.

astral haven
#

Left not right click

wheat plume
reef patrol
#

Don't Allow

wheat plume

that doesnt disable, they still show up in the output choose

reef patrol
#

That DOES disable.

#

You're talking about hiding.

wheat plume
#

is still there

reef patrol
#

No it's not? That's the mic

frozen ingot
#

disabling them removes them as options in the list of audio devices you get clicking the speaker bottom right in the taskbar

wheat plume
#

Yeah, I clicked Dont Allow on the mic

#

and its still in the picker

reef patrol
#

You showed us a speaker.

wheat plume

yeh my bad

frozen ingot

I still have to bring up this old thing tho, don't know where to find the one you're using

reef patrol

We're on Win11

ashen spindle
#

you dont in win10, win11 idk because I havent used that

wheat plume
#

its really hard to find

frozen ingot
#

tbh win10 is a fuckin mess of old and new settings pages and options

astral haven
#

You search sounds in the start menu and it pops right up

shadow minnow
wheat plume
frozen ingot
#

tho am sorta used to navigating that mess by this point dogekek

shadow minnow
#

Most things have new UI yet some still look so old

astral haven
#

Change system sounds

wheat plume
#

oh

astral haven
#

But it is in the new options now

frozen ingot
#

yeah its like they've put shiny new surface buttons and menus on top of the stuff that's been carried over since like windows xp

astral haven
#

Nah it is pretty different now

frozen ingot
#

seems like they've overhauled the older bits as well with 11

wheat plume
#

I despite the right click menus in 11

#

the ones from windows 10 are still there if you click "Show More Options" and they all have this really thin ass blue highlight

#

the 11 menus are not the worst though

#

just lacking options

astral haven
#

Yea it has all the useful stuff accessible in one click and has the old menu available with another click

wheat plume
#

Ive seen people in videos not realise that the Properties option is in the menu cause they expect it to the last option so they go to the other menu and click on it there instead

Not cause it's bad, but cause it literally makes you involved in the Apple ecosystem

It's MLID but seems credible

Arc Alchemist is quite literally waste of space and silicon

#

Too late, too little

formal vortex
#

i think its a decent starting point. but everything else i agree

cursive summit

They'll launch alchemist when next gen is already out and then what, what can Intel offer that NV or AMD won't do better

Battlemage will prolly also launch in time for next gen launch, and be dead on arrival

fair gull

idk how one draws that conclusion

#

intel is sjowing promise with the gpus

cursive summit
#

Compared to current gen

#

400$ 3070-ish perf is fine

shadow minnow
#

Oh no first gen of GPUs after years can’t compete with flagships of companies who have been for a long time every two years releasing new GPUs 😱

cursive summit
#

New gen launches, what is Intel competing against with their top SKU

#

4050?

reef patrol
#

3060?

shadow minnow
#

How does that matter

#

And also didn’t have top performing cards for a while

cursive summit
#

Cause their new gen is dead simply cause a Nvidia and AMD gen launched

#

More powerful and cheaper cards that kill Intels offerings

#

Not to mention Intel are shooting themselves in the foot anyways

formal vortex
shadow minnow
#

Well no one should expect their first gen to be competing with high end

reef patrol
#

That remains to be seen. It's not like Intel aimed for high end.

cursive summit
#

They are not even mid end

shadow minnow
#

And rebranded rx cards for years and had almost no competition to nvidia but over time they improved

shadow minnow
cursive summit
#

Intel I bet won't even scratch the low end cards in certain applications

#

Lads did you hear what they are saying

shadow minnow
#

Just because in places like this people get expensive high end GPUs doesn’t mean that for normal people that’s not mid end

reef patrol
#

Place your bets.

formal vortex
#

they can compete in dx12

cursive summit
#

"We are focusing on tier 1 applications and have preliminary support in tier 2, everything below tier 3 will work badly"

#

Tier 1 being "popular" stuff

#

We already saw Arc's perf in tier 3 apps

#

It's abysmal

#

Loses in perf to a 6 year old GPU

#

They need to fix their drivers first before they launch their cards

shadow minnow
#

It’s their first gen so I still don’t see how does that matter

#

Also their drivers improved

cursive summit
#

It doesn't work well?

#

That's why it matters

shadow minnow
#

Yes because it’s first gen

#

Can’t expect it to be so good

#

But that’s to be expected

cursive summit
#

So why am I supposed to care for Intel then

#

That's the whole point, it's dead on arrival

shadow minnow
#

Who says you are supposed to care

#

You may not care this time

#

But there will probably be new gens

cursive summit
#

What

shadow minnow
#

Which will slowly be more worth caring about

cursive summit
#

This was the whole point of the conversation

#

Alchemist is useless

shadow minnow
#

First gen isn’t for people like you

#

Doesn’t mean it’s for no one if it’s cheap

cursive summit
#

And I bet Battlemage won't be much better either

#

Intel needs to fix up their drivers and make sure than Battlemage or at the very least the C series is good

#

And for the love of god Intel don't compare your shit to 3000 series when you are launching your stuff right after 4000 series comes out

shadow minnow
#

Based on iGPU drivers their drivers have already improved in some ways. Especially quite big bugs are now fixed

reef patrol
shadow minnow
#

They have no way to know the price

#

Nor the performance

cursive summit
#

It's simple

#

Launch the cards when they were supposed to be launched lul

Drivers though, oh not the drivers

stark bobcat

shadow minnow

Maybe it’s because I am from Slovakia but I would call what most call budget end mid end or low high end dogekek

reef patrol

The cards are fine for the people buying 3060s anyway...

shadow minnow
#

Which is almost high end if not

stark bobcat

I remember when I had a amd r7 270x or sum shit those drivers were asss

And amd is still doing fine for gpus even tho their drivers sucked for years

shadow minnow

In my lands Xbox series X and ps 5 are considered high end hardware

MID END 1630

shadow minnow
#

They don’t have low end

#

Only mid end high end and top end basically

cursive summit

1630 is literally no-end

#

Cause it doesn't qualify for any of the respectable tiers

shadow minnow
#

Eh it is low end

#

Almost 200€

cursive summit
#

And it works worse than a GTX 1050Ti

shadow minnow
#

You can get Xbox series s for that

cursive summit

That I bought 3 years ago for.. 180$

#

Brand new card... more expensive than a 1050Ti.. that works worse.. 3 years later..

shadow minnow

Funniest thing to me tbh is people calling keyboards up to 200€ mid end

cursive summit

junior ore
#

Exactly

reef patrol
#

Firmware that blocks third party cartridges? Sorry - HP and friends won't let you send in the printer for service, cause you used third party cartridges and that fucked up the printer (prove it didn't - they fucking dare you)

#

I remember needing to lie to Brother on the regular to get them to accept warranty RMA on the cheap ass printers we sold, that would break at the drop of a hat within a year of sale. Just because the customer may have once used a "counterfeit cartridge" and "messed up the printer"

Ah yes - Brother clearly employs psychic support staff that can literally see the printer's internals over the phone.

If you're just printing B&W a cheap laser printer is the way to go.
But colour ones... jesus fuck those can be a nightmare. We had an expensive HP one in the store that we used for both customer receipts and contracts and in store ads (cut to size and put into holders with product photos in full colour)

I swear by the time I left we had 3 or 4 of that printer in the back that had clogged up from the OFFICIAL powder, which cost as much as the printer itself.

Hey hey~ It's been a while, but wanted to drop by and ask for some thoughts - as I was a wooting founder, but haven't used it in years and am catching up with wooting as my interest has been revitalized in recent months.

I made sure to scan through some past conversations in the discord first, and found a few interesting messages regarding high polling / scanrates, specifically when it comes to keyboards.

#archived_wooting_60he message

This one in particular I mostly agree with the sentiment, and wanted to add onto it.

Wanted to say in general first though, for those not actively playing a variety of games at 2000/4000/8000hz mouse rates, the support for those rates have drastically improved in recent time. (past 9-3 months) where 2000hz near universally works, and many games are no longer having issues with 8000hz, as the industry is moving forward and kinda forcing developers hands in competitive gaming.

Personally I think as a blanket statement, for now, relatively, 8000hz is overkill - but I am starting to believe in the first step of 2000hz, as we get to higher and higher monitor refresh rates - especially 360, 390/480, and soon 500hz, it'll be especially important for mice to stay well above anywhere near monitor refresh, where blurbusters is making the assertion that mouse polling should be 5x higher than monitor refresh.
... But now I am thinking 2000hz is relevant for keyboards, too - but not for typical keyboards, but for wooting specifically.

The reason I am wondering about this is since wooting, as we all obviously know - isn't just a "has the key been pressed since last polled" - there's variability in key presses, there's letting go of pressing, there's incredibly minute inputs that can be done and at various speeds and depths - where my personal thoughts are that it feels obvious that we should be talking about higher polling (like 2K, not 8K....) in the context that wooting is specifically the type of keyboards we should be talking about in the context of potential improvements in higher polling rates, not for "latency" but for accuracy and fluidity.

I think the main reason I write all this to ensure my point isn't missed, is because I didn't find any of the past conversations (though I could have easily missed them) talking about keyboard polling rates in the context of wooting-specific technology, which kinda caught me off guard, tbh - so here's hopefully this sparks something.

Any thoughts on that? Should 2000hz be in mind for future implementations? Is higher fluidity relevant to analog input?

astral haven
#

The wooting 60he has a scanrate only barely faster than 1ms nd the other boards are over 1ms scanrate
Polling rate faster than that wouldn't do anything at all

#

And there is a huuuuge difference between mice and keyboards

#

A keyboard is highly unlikely to hit it's polling rate limit where a mouse is nearly guaranteed to

latent mural
#

Again, I'm referring to fluidity of updates regarding variable inputs - not just latency to register a key press, which I would agree has relatively no difference at all.

astral haven
#

Ok?
That addresses neither of my points...

latent mural
#

For specific types of inputs, the types Wooting is known for / specialize in, it's far more relevant to at least discuss the implication.
Again, I agree, for typical key presses in most cases, 1000hz is plenty

astral haven
#

Remember joystick input is absolute not relative
The computer (game) calculates the relative motion

latent mural
astral haven
#

Have you ever used a resampling program to upsample your mouse input?

latent mural
#

I have not, no

astral haven
#

If you have a drawing tablet, try it out on that

#

Then switch between absolute and relative mode in both cases

#

Relative mouse input when upsampled is horrific and adds acceleration
Absolute input upsampled just makes things smoother
There is inherently no acceleration, and the latency addition is not noticeable

I also imagine the future ARM models might be able to do >1khz and if it works that would probably be one of the features it has once parity with avr models is not given anymore, though as was pointed out that would most likely be more marketing to have same numbers as other vendors without really doing much

junior ore
#

I know an artist that draws extremely like that

latent mural
ashen spindle
#

well for now parity is guaranteed till 2024

#

so I imagine in the time between finishing the firmware and then they will have ample time to poke at what they can get out of it since I bet people will constantly ask about it lol

astral haven

Yep
Just hope for more features rather than speed myself

junior ore
#

Is cute cute

ashen spindle
#

since you also dont aim with your keyboard like you would on a controller that probably also contributes to not feeling the difference as much as on a >1khz mouse where as you said blubusters has nice infos about why it's great

Just remember mice != Keyboards

People bought a lot of personal computers during covid, and with bitcoin crashing the market is filling up with a lot of used items for cheap.
Personal computers will hang around for a lot longer yet, at most we might see a transition to a different architecture like ARM if x86 can't keep up

ashen spindle
#

amd already surpassed intels market cap last year when the stock was higher

#

and intel is on a track to lose out short term and gain much more later on if it works, amd is currently winning despite still being a much smaller company

#

so the stock prices mean nothing between them

#

and arm is not going to replace consumer hardware anytime soon

crimson wigeon
#

BUT APPLE SILICON

ashen spindle
#

apples uses arm because they cant use x86

rocky pulsar
#

Well because x86 Intel chips run super hot

ashen spindle
#

no because they literally arent allowed to use x86 since they dont have a license

rocky pulsar
#

In a laptop, don't want to burn the battery power as heat if you can avoid it

#

Ah right, to be fair only 3 companies on the planet do

#

ARM is a good architecture though, x86 is very complicated and hard to optimise

ashen spindle
#

intel chips running hot is not because of the uArch

rocky pulsar
#

A (relatively) small chip team would struggle with a CISC setup

ashen spindle
#

apples chip team is/was by no means small

rocky pulsar
#

Compared to Intel or AMD though

#

I imagine we're talking at least a tenth of the size right?

ashen spindle
rocky pulsar
#

Yeah absolutely, ARM (and even RISC-V) are not really RISC in the old sense

#

But they're certainly dramatically simpler than x86

ashen spindle
#

I mean it's a moot point to argue since they could have the entire intel team and still weren't able to make an x86 chip

rocky pulsar
#

I'm not sure why they'd want to anyway though?

#

Given their very long history with ARM

ashen spindle
#

which again, is in big part due to them only being able to use something like arm or riscv

#

but they had people like jim keller on the team who's known for doing big work in x86

rocky pulsar
#

Earlier on, they were buying ARM chips from other companies. Could have also bought x86 ones

#

The iPhone was originally going to be x86 iirc

#

But the unit economics didn't work out

ashen spindle
#

yeah and intel missed out on a massive market because iirc they didn't expect the market to grow so much so they didn't go as customized as they could for the chips option

#

efficient lower power x86 chips exist, but if you compare 5nm M1 with a full all around 12900k on a 10nm node with stuff like avx512 and all that arm doesnt use, of course the latter one runs much hotter

rocky pulsar
#

Day to day practical applications (which the AS chips are designed around) overwhelmingly do not use AVX512 etc

ashen spindle
#

yes so a custom x86 chip could just not have those features, having x86 doesnt enforce you have to add that

rocky pulsar
#

But then to be fair, the surface area of AS chips are overwhelmingly not the CPU

#

Yeah but it's not like that's the issue

#

If it's barely ever used, it's not the cause of the power issues

ashen spindle
#

it's not always used but takes up die space, it's just one example for stuff they have that is not needed and could have been cut if you want to make an equal chip

#

but the node is the much bigger difference

rocky pulsar
#

I guess the key thing either way, is that there is no x86 chip with the practical performance & battery life balance of the M1/M2

#

Whether there could be really doesn't matter

#

If you want to buy something today, it is what it is

ashen spindle
#

yes what the consumer can get is not the same as what the architecture can do

rocky pulsar
#

Those are impressive battery life numbers, must admit I'm skeptical

ashen spindle
#

if apple spends extra billions to get a a node a year earlier and thus have the same performance earlier, thats not because of the architecture

rocky pulsar
#

Where the M1 etc does really well is then with eg the media encoding etc, so good for people doing video editing etc

#

I write code all day so it's pretty lightweight use regardless

#

I wonder how big the batteries are on those machines

ashen spindle
#

yes its great in a lot of things, but it's not an indicator that x86 cant do it

reef patrol
#

Buying an Apple laptop is like buying a console. It's great until you want to do something it isn't specifically made for. šŸ˜„

#

Give me a well rounded x86 system any day

rocky pulsar
#

To be fair, they are excellent for almost everything. The one major downfall is gaming, of course

#

Or I guess very old stuff, doesn't perform as well on Rosetta 2

ashen spindle
#

those amd chips are still a node behind what M1/2 are on so even if those tests are not fully accurate, that should show x86/arm is not the reason

reef patrol
#

Well gaming - And using any kind of x86 app. It's always a gamble with their Rosetta stuff

rocky pulsar
#

But to be fair, a traditional machine can't run ARM stuff at all

#

On the server/cloud side, it's rapidly moving to ARM

#

Quite nice to be able to match arch when developing

reef patrol
#

Just give us the co-processor back.

#

Lemme socket in an ARM cpu on my high end desktop board and set up a new standard. šŸ˜„

rocky pulsar
#

I guess the issue is if you have to run really old software

#

Anything actively maintained, it should be really easy to just run it natively on another arch

ashen spindle
#

also the IPC of the M2 regressed compared to M1 lol

#

of the cpu, the gpu did get a bit faster

rocky pulsar
#

How does it do on single core peak etc?

#

That seemed to be the key thing which made M1 do so well

ashen spindle
#

oh it does do better than m1 and I forgot the numbers but I noticed it during the m2 release key note, they need like 30% more clocks for 15% more performance or something like that, so IPC was worse

rocky pulsar
#

I always find it funny on the die shots, how little of the chip is actually CPU

It makes sense, just not what you might imagine

cursive summit
#

I do believe firmly AMD is still waiting for RTX 4000 preliminary results

They might just tweak some things in the launch drivers to make up any perf difference

#

Isn't that what happened with 6700XT and why it was initially shit or something

cursive summit
#

That'd be the hall of fame, so highest scores

#

I would assume that's the score they are talking about

#

TSE 10K for 4070 is rather weak though

#

What AMD and Nvidia were doing this generation, kinda, and it's prolly only going to get worse

#

Is widening the gap between xx70 and lower cards and xx80

#

They ask for a substantial premium but also get you really good perf when it comes to xx80 cards

mild dome
#

If an in production (presumably air cooled) 4080 can defeat a LN2 cooled 3090 Ti boosted to it's absolute physical limit then that's dare I say poggers

Though the 4070's low score although better then the 3070 probably is a real bummer

cursive summit

I mean 4080 beating out 3090Ti is a given

I have some doubts the power draw is as high as some claim, unless those are going for a really spread out chiplet design current gen has trouble dissipating all the heat it needs to deal with.
I think what's really going to happen is that they are going to tell people to buy bigger power supplies in order to resolve the Overcurrent protection issues the power draw spikes have caused.

stark bobcat

yeah I need one for when I ll go on vacation soon already have a dongle but I just need a stand

i wonder if i should start buying parts for my next PC now. All i need is a processor (waiting for it to be released), motherboard (same thing), new case, and ram (ddr5)

What I hated about ddg is the fact that you aren't getting good results

#

Like the search is just not good

#

What

#

The fuck

#

The thing is not even out yet

#

It's good that this is happening though, just shows how useless the site is

#

I really want to know who's running that site

#

Cause they are either handsomely paid or retarded

#

And could be, if verified, a good testimony in an anti-monopoly court

ashen spindle
#

the site is made to generate money from google ads thats why it shows up so often in searches

#

the sooner people stop talking about it the sooner we give them money for free

reef patrol
#

So many sites like that - I swear if I google something like "How to disable X in Windows/Android" the first page of results are just duplicate SEO sites full of ads saying the exact same, and entirely useless shit.

shadow minnow
#

Yeah

reef patrol
#

I grabbed a google search blacklist addon just to try and get around the worst of those. It will just outright hide any website I've previously hidden. Huge timesaver.

cursive summit

I have no clue what any of you are talking about

Such a great song ngl

ashen spindle
#

adblocker doesnt change google results that arent ad spots

#

and UB is really often first result when anyone looks for cpu/gpu comparisons unless there is a video on exactly those two options

#

and for the regular user it appears to be a decent site that has detailed info

reef patrol
cursive summit
#

Ahhh that's what you mean

#

Lifewire, digitaltrends, those kind of websites

#

Yeah I just found a bypass

#

"How to do something REDDIT"

#

Bypasses all the bullshit and gets you straight to the answer lul

what is kinda disappointing in that phone is the non-existent water protection

Is that android 13

no

and Nothing decided that bubbles looked good

empty wren

Oh

wheat plume

that is not stock

#

the other toggles are stock

#

not the mobile data and BT toggles

empty wren
#

They are also above the brightness slider

wheat plume
#

yeh..

#

well, tbf

#

they make the rightness slider lower

empty wren
#

Guess they really pushed to be different

wheat plume
#

so easy to reach one handed

empty wren
#

I would like sliding on the status bar to regulate brightness

wheat plume
#

oo yes

empty wren
#

That would be good enough at least in my opinion

wheat plume
#

I had a custom rom that did that

empty wren

Custom firmwares used to have a lot

wheat plume

I reallllyyyyy wish the volume buttons to change song was a standard android feature

empty wren

That is easy to add

wheat plume

holding volume up and down while the screen is off skipped and went back a song respectivly

#

soooo useful for when I am driving

#

dont have to try to tap a small ass button on the screen

empty wren
#

Check out some apps or do you already have that functionality

wheat plume
#

I dont

empty wren
#

I think an app could easily add all that

#

Heck tasker could I think

wheat plume
#

there is an app but it needs to run in the background at all times

Yep

any excess notifications are put into a size-adaptable pill shape thingy

in Android 13

shadow minnow

That looks a bit weird

wheat plume

I like it

idk, better than seeing them all taking the entire bottom half of the screen

Deeper Network

wheat plume

huh?

shadow minnow

I dont like the shape of the top part mostly

wheat plume
#

the large ones?

shadow minnow
#

And there being two notifications per app shown

shadow minnow
wheat plume
#

That happens in notifications too when the phone is unlocked but less tall

ashen spindle
shadow minnow
#

Also the Instagram notifications don’t show anything useful

wheat plume
#

it does when you expand it

shadow minnow
#

Well yes but should rather show you one notification that has useful info than two useless

wheat plume
#

TBF, it should remove the "Instagram" on the content cause you already know what app its from at the top

shadow minnow
#

And it should tell you what first not the name
