If I remember correctly this is an issue on linux when a controller is present, and it has existed for years and is a known issue.
Don't get me wrong it won't affect the majority of users, but considering how much Valve wants to prop up linux it raises some questions

I think windows 10 going unsupported will generally be something like newer api's / dx versions not being optimized for future cpu's things of this nature.
