As for gamepass, I think the subscription model is not going to be dominant in the long run.
As more studio's develop gamepass games the costs of the program increase, and I don't think the userbase will expload nearly enough to cover it all.
They will raise the prices at some point but I don't know if it's enough.
Spotify works because due to piracy music companies are satisfied getting less from music sales.
Netflix works because before you the norm was already to pay based on a subscription, and even then it still fragments again.
For games the situation is different with a healthy market where games lose their value over time.
Another problem is third parties, how do you distribute funds. Play time is not really a fair metric as single player linear games would be heavily disfavored.
Any custom pricing per game would be unsustainable when scaled up to smaller devs as well. So I think it will never be able to outgrow Microsoft's own games + some others they make a deal with.

I think its a case of publisher knowing people in the west dont spend in the same way as asian consumers so removing some p2w is in the end better for them
amazon doesnt have to milk it dry in the first 2 years, much more inventive for them to keep it running longer

From the whole 2 reviews I watched, nearly nobody said battery was a concern
It in some cases was under the advertised 2 hour mark, but that's on everything maxed out playing AAA games
For weaker games, it went above and beyond max advertised battery life
And in general, the battery's superior to any current handheld maybe apart from Switch

everything else seems to do better but the battery gets even hotter
guess having no air directed through the case really fucks with it
I don't think it's an issue unless it's in full charge mode. I don't remember if it's all the time up to 80% when the trickle kind of kicks in or what
