PS2 SATA adaptor is 20$, then another 70$ for a 2TB drive. Maybe another controller and memory card.
Xbox OG needs another harddrive and SATA adaptor. That's another 100$ (times two, then I can sell off two of them hopefully)
360 needs two modchips, soldering iron and a bunch of loose ends.
PS3 needs another controller, charging cables...and maybe a new shell and BD drive.

A lot of older games like the original Mario game allow emulation because consoles and game cartridges are hard to get. It requires a specific image for emulation to make sure there are no differences from the console edition.
