Just feels very odd to get a stun ability... two levels after I get a stun ability. While I can see the merit somewhat in a dungeon situation (or ... not? In WoW the tank usually isn't the CC, and stuns don't work on bosses anyhow)

short version I can add, later on you'll have a skill rotation and managing cooldowns is important so you won't always be able to use what is available in a vaccum
and from what I saw on mage so far, not every skill is really used in the end, thought so far there is only 1 I don't use at all at lv 60

Any MMO that lets you pull more than two groups at a time and just lead them is bad design imo. The game never taught me this "skill", and players apparently expected it on the first possible dungeon in the game. Thankfully I was DPS.

I think most of that comes from when the tank/healer are higher levels as the downscaling is not perfect
haven't really seen it in the bigger ones or when the tank(s) were doing it as part of the quest
there are guildhests or so that are basically tutorials up to lv40 that do teach you combat things, how to avoid mechanics etc.
but yeah wasn't the best way I noticed too
