As for elder scrolls games, I enjoyed oblivion in it's time but I was much younger then. Skyrim I really found quite lacking, dungeon design sucks, leveled enemies / loot despite being better from oblivion is still a bad design. Main story lines were kind of meh, core gameplay is also not that engaging.
For TES 6 I really hope that bethesda takes a good look at core gameplay, quality over quantity in terms of contest / quests / levels. Just generally scale things down a little.
I don't mind a large more empty land, just make sure the stuff that is there is actually interesting.
Morrowind I also enjoyed but still need to finish some day.

So if we look at the requirements of a 4X game, its more a simplified simulation of live's progression, where war and death arnt the only goals. in 4X games, there are multiple ways to conquer your enemy. Technologically, Culturally, Economically. Civilization is a game that covers 4X quite well.

The problem I always have with total war, the campaign map is really not that deep and interesting, the battles can be fun but half of them are not very balanced and autoresolve really doesn't solve that issue.

power shell from when I last tried it still requires a bat script to execute it because otherwise it will pump out permission errors when deploying on random pc's.
Running script in the background sitll is a pain. The ecosystem is still very limited.

I could host the server freely, I have plenty of spare cores.
It’s just that I hate setup and maintenance with a passion.
But no, I can super host a Minecraft server.
I have a dedicated domain name for it as well and all.
Need to do load testing for the internet line, but it’s possible.
