the main thing is that you have very little actual overhead in making a game by yourself or with 2-3 others
so everything goes straight to profit
it's frequently not enough profit to make a living off of by itself but it generally pays extremely well per amount of time invested if you get at least a small following for the game and it's much more enjoyable than most alternative income sources
I do think expectations for game prices can be a bit low though
I'm currently sitting at about 2 cents per hour of enjoyment on from the depths when I'd consider a dollar or two an hour to be minimum

On the switch new firmware will always be hackable on the older hardware, there is nothing Nintendo can do about that.
That's very different from the more high level hacks on the ps4 right now. As for playing the long game I remember on the ps3 that took quite some time until I stopped careing about it. (I don't own a ps4)
Even my psvita was limited to older firmware games for a bit after I got it, be it that there where only a few games released that required a newer firmware. (sadly danganronpa 3 was one of them)

Just my cpu I tuned the fan profile so it frequently hits 80c as it is perfectly fine to do so, you are still 15c away from the throttle point.
I only really start to ramp up the fans at 85c. Which keeps my system nice and quiet running a 8700k @5ghz.
So it hits 80c+ quite frequently.

Once upon a time there was a fix for skyrim or fallout, I believe, that allowed simultaneous input. But another issue, for me at least, seems to be that then we're limited to controller input rather than keyboard keys and some mods are iffy with a more limited number of binds
