The "gaming disorder" is just a 'normal' addiction disorder, AFAICT, just with "gaming" being the venue of the addiction. Nothing really weird or groundbreaking about this, and yes, it is a real thing that people get (psychological grade) addicted to playing games.

- Creation Club has been going for almost a year, so not sure what your "is adding" is referring to… ? They've had in-game purchases of their CC content for a year now. It has been added.
- They're not "mods" in the way that "mods" are popularly defined. No more a mod than "Far Harbour" or "Nuka World" or "Dragonborn" anyway. They're addons curated and overseen (if not (which is for the most part) outright created by) Bethesda Game Studios. Not "community created content".

The paid mods fiasco with Skyrim using Steam Workshop some years ago was a completely different scenario. Those were actually paid mods, created by the community, with little to no curation what-so-ever (Valve and Bethesda both has a very hands-off approach here, which is likely part of the reason it failed so horribly), and with no guarantees of compatibility with other items you chose to pay for. You're comparing apples to oranges.
(I'm not a huge fan of the Creation Club, but please critique it on/with non-moot points.)

Todd said there will be "mods" for 76, which by definition is not CC stuff, so while there may be CC stuff for 76, there will also be "regular" mods - though it remains to be seen how they will work, and will likely not work with official servers. One way it'll maybe work is by them providing server files - have you seen them state anywhere that this is categorically out of the question?
CC content is heavily curated: it needs to be approved by Bethesda before work even begins on a new piece of content. Unlike the Steam Workshop where there was no oversight and people could upload other people's mods and it would take ages for Valve/Bethesda to look at reports and maybe take offenders down.
Your arguments are a big pile of mixing up terminology, applying issues present with Steam Workshop's paid mods to the completely different CC, going off of (unconfirmed and sometimes already debunked) rumours and what-ifs. 😐

@dense pond Next to nothing about private/custom servers and modding have been released yet, just that Bethesda Game Studios (ie., not Bethesda Softworks (AFAIK)) want to do it, but that it won't be ready for launch (because they need to figure out how to do it themselves first and it's not a priority for launch/release). Almost all information about FO76 is speculation and rumours at this point. We'll see what happens when the B.E.T.A. is "opened" up soon and people start actually playing the game.

I think Siege probably balances shotguns the best. You can destroy most people in a room, but as soon as they're across the hall you're severly disadvantaged due to the one-shot headshot rules.
