It's definitely not the last game in the franchise. It'll go on for as long as it makes Capcom dosh. Raccoon City being obliterated in 3 didn't stop them from making sequels. Umbrella Inc. being shut down didn't stop them from making sequels. ||Most likely the cure will never be heard from again, or it will simply not be all powerful. Maybe a future game will have you defeat the final boss by shooting some injection needle/bullet into it from a newly made gun with that stuff in it. But there's no way this is the end of RE sequels||
