Also the way you can combine and craft your own weapon with different movesets etc. helps to cater to your playstyle too

Stellar Blade gave you more option as well I think to (perfect timed dodge skill etc.). Khazan parry window is very forgiving imo even on the hardest difficulty, but that perfect special counters and parries were so satisfying omg

Vintage Story is basically Minecraft - if it was more focused on survival and longer advancement progress. And instead of zombies and creepers, you have interdimensional rifts and slightly horror esque creatures instead.

You don't* just punch a tree. You find some flint on the ground, knap it into shape with another rock and tie it onto a stick. Now you've got a primitive axe.

To get metal tools, you need to dig, shape and burn pottery moulds, and do prospect for scraps of loose copper. Your tools just aren't strong enough to break apart larger chunks of copper and such.

It's not super difficult to get into - no more than your average modpack for Minecraft.

I'm currently doing a post apocalyptic, snowy taiga planet where just finding the basics is a struggle. Great fun 😄
