Think I finally hit the endgame plateau in Dune for now. I refuse to partake in the PvP focused last tier of gear, since it only serves to provide an endless loop of farm, produce, farm - something that is much better suited to guilds and nolifer Russian players.

I want to rebuild my base somewhere more permanent, and then go into maintenance mode until the new DLC hits. The story must continue.

how long did it take to get to the endgame loop?

Uhh... Technically probably around 50 hours the first time? Took my time, did all of the story stuff and didn't rush to the endgame.

Then I started a second character on a different server and did it all again in about 35-40 hours. The last 50 hours have been finding out how far I can push my gear using only non-endgame content (which is all PvP and heavily favours big, sweaty groups)

The overarching plot is still unfinished. You end on a cliffhanger with more content coming later.

I need to log in one a week or so to pay some base taxes, and make sure my generators are refuelled.

Beyond that I fly over to some quick "dungeons" which spawn the loot I need to keep my current gear going - specific items have a 10-15% of dropping once an hour or so. So that is a bit of a grind.

I also need to do some infrequent farm runs for regular materials.

Aim trainers are really addicting, I can't recommend them enough. In the sense that the skill almost directly carries over to whatever game you play. It helped me achieve top 500 in my favorite game (The Finals), and diamond in a few others, when I was ALWAYS a Gold/Platinum player growing up.
