I know the average cost per hour is a terrible metric and how you end up with tons of filler content... but gaming absolutely destroys other mediums.

If you go to the cinema for the latest releases, you're looking at £10-15 per ticket as a rough figure for all the cinemas in my area. Films are 2, maybe 3 hours. I know they've got the fancy surround sound setups etc but that hourly cost is much higher.
