WotC looks like they just want to make as much money as possible before all of their IPs die... because of them
After looking at the success of BG3 they chose to went with different studio for BG4 despite the fact that it's only thanks to Larian why it was a success (most people don't even care that it was Baldur's Gate)
And they get as much collabs with different IPs as possible to milk those fandoms as well
But honestly MtG started to crumble back in 2016, so...
