A true counter strafe is going from left to right without letting your velocity go to 0 or ghosting/overlapping happening

SOCD helps combat this as it stops the 1st input after the 2cd is recognized within MS of each other so there 0 room for error pretty much

It's kind of like a weird mix of monk? and spellcasting. You select elements as you level up, and can enable certain combo effects.

So you can be a water bender for healing or damage, earth? for defense or attack and so on.

And then you start mixing elements like water and fire for Steam.

They burn points similar to Monk to make their attacks different, stronger on occasion.

A bit like Warlock, if it was more of a monk and used elemental blasts instead of eldritch blast?

They change your attacks. Unfortunately Owlcat didn't think to do environmental shit like Divinity/BG3.

Players will figure out the absolute best and most effective ways to play the game and if you dont follow the meta you're putting yourself at a disadvantage

That's fine with arena games and shooters where you basically start over every time you hop into a match but it's problematic with MMOs because there's a huge time investment before you even get to the late game
