The dps checks like I said, the removal of negative skills, investigations were such a pace killer (Pink Rathian), difficulty went down idk if that's just because of the smoothness of the game. I'd choose Rise 100x times over, but that's just me and my opinion

Linux accounts for a tiny sliver of the players base, and a lot of Linux players would probably have dual boot Windows anyway for incompatible games anyway. For the Linux players who don't have Windows at all your are probably spending time on 1% of players, which means you need to hire developers for that.
So for a big company run by accountants it doesn't make any sense. Smaller developers might be more passionate about getting their game out there, but bigger studios figure they'll just force Linux users to use Windows
