I hate Windows' reliance on the file extension to determine the file type

its too easily fooled and not a great thing to ONLY use to determine the true type of file

I can remove the file extension on any file I want on Linux and it still knows what type of files they are and knows how to handle them and show the correct previews too

Not sure if Windows has such check

it took people nearly two years upon the release of Doki Doki Literature Club to determine the real file types of the .chr files in the game because Windows just showed a blank file icon LOL

but on Linux, it shows the correct preview for the files despite the extension being wrong

anybody can see the data if they just open it in a web browser or convert the file
