Fun fact: Bethesda is still using the Creation Engine, an engine that's been in use since Morrowind, a game that lacked bump mapping and a dynamic walking animation. And also couldn't clean it's own memory on the original Xbox forcing the game to simply shutdown the console, and restart it in what looked like a very long loading screen.
You could probably source almost all of Bethesda's development woes to this engine. It's the equivalent of kit car that needs to be brought to the junkyard every few months to scavenge spare parts.

My prediction: The Creation Engine is going to put a hard limit on Starfield's ambitions, leading to a lot of cut content, and disappointing half baked mechanics. Spaceships are likely just going to teleport you into between planets with no animations. With every step you are going to see and feel the engine's layers and layers of wet masking tape tearing apart as the machine underneath shakes itself to death.
Upon seeing what Bethesda had wrought Microsoft will then probably just front the money to buy Bethesda a working engine, and hopefully Elder Scroll 6 can actually ship in a playable state

Like if 343 could've hired on more permanent employees then they wouldn't have had to cut 70% of the campaign, could've added way more maps and game modes, and we wouldn't have had such shitty desync issues

Consider this: The engine wasn't even working until the last 2 years of development before release (that includes the year delay they had to fix the issues from the gameplay showcase). This was after something like 10 years of development. Had they got the engine working properly earlier they would've had more time and resources to make more maps that would work on the engine

I don't think it's strictly the gamedevs themselves who think that, but their leadership. An Executive is in charge, and their entire job is to make sure the shareholders get the most bang for their buck. In the past almost everyone made their own engines, but with increasing complexity it gets harder for a single company to maintain, update and develop the engine whilst also making the game. Especially since it's expected that the devs MUST make the game look cutting edge.

There was a theory I read about that Todd wanted more people to update the Creation Engine, but he couldn't get Zenimax to approve it. So he told them about a project called Fallout 76 and said he needed a new team to make the engine. Then once he got them he immediately had them working on Starfield instead

Also keep in mind that our boards are mostly water safe these days. We coat 99% of the PCB with a layer that just blocks the water from seeping through.

However - You should - ALWAYS - disconnect, unscrew and manually dry out your board if you make a spill.

The coating is there to ensure that if you manage to clean it, there's a much bigger chance of success. It is not there as a lazy man's "eh... don't need cleaning" way out 😄

I was so excited to have Trackmania on Steam, so that I can finally ditch the Ubisoft Launcher…only to be forced to install it again upon launching TM… which they provided on Steam in the first place.
