WoW also has the issue with condensed old content. You literally can't play through Vanilla to current content organically. It forces you to level up super fast, just so you can get going with CURRENT EXPANSION
FF14 offers this through paid microtransactions like WoW does, but otherwise it still expects you to actually PLAY the whole MMO, expansion to expansion to get the story.
A first timer booting up WoW won't understand shit all of what the story is, unless they've been keeping track for years.

I installed the game via Steam and did the fix where I edited the battleye.ini to make it run GRB_vulkan.exe instead of GRB.exe and then launched it via steam and it worked fine
Took a while to load the first time, the Ubisoft Connect launcher got stuck at "Looking for available patches"
but I forced shutdown the game and launched it again and its fine now
there is a video I found that gives really good settings for the Steam Deck and now it runs constant smooth 40FPS
idk if multiplayer works, but at the hub area, there were other players running about but I didnt actively interact with them
the UI is a mess so idk wtf im doing in that game...
