Thank you now clean
nice
Makes my hand lighter for movement
cutting your fingers off works too
cutting off hand makes hand lightest
0g

you can still have finger mobility if you just rip off your skin
would hurt to even touch the mouse
no pain no gain
Is this solid sides version
doesn’t look like it
Oh right, I want solid sides
Planned to steal, but you can have it now @plain schooner
Evangelion X wallhack pad looks sick
not a big fan myself
i mainly like the design more than anything
dont get wl mouse unless you enjoy wasting $200
their customer service and warranty sucks
sweet, which one's better, I presume both are for the dav3? I'm so lost with pm's family tree these days
They never restocked it
gee, WH took a screenshot of an awkward pose and logged off. Preference and all but it's mid af
I’m liking the Zen8K mini the scroll wheel click feels good compared to the pulse
rei tends to look a bit awkward I feel like, but yeah I agree not a big fan of this design
I think I might've liked it more if they changed the composition a bit so she was at least on one side following the rule of thirds
ye
don't buy gwolves either, their cs sucks too
looks like razer, bogi tech and pulsar only reliable companies
dont know about hitscan
could probably buy from another retailer too, if I wanted another gwolves mouse I would definitely get it from maxgaming or something instead of the official site
fair
my experience with wl mouse from the official store was so ass even though i like the mouse and dongle design i'll never buy another again
still no money from gwolves after they've had my mouse back for over a month, last time I asked they said they'd process my refund immediately, but talking to my bank instead now
hell yeah do a charge back
companies hate that
i was hoping they would do something different instead of redrawing rei moon frame
tbf i know nothing about Rei, so the pose probably encapsulates her shit idk
Hell yeah
i can't tell if she's about to punch someone in the back of the head, or ask them for a coffee. And where's her other arm?
This looks like somebody who hunched being forced to pose for a picture.
Still sad about the Strada
concept in pre annc post was better 💔

sweet as but does bro know that the superlight is the winningest mouse of all time

any good mouse pads n speaker on amazon?
The Audio-Technica ATH-R70x is legendary, so the bar is quite high with their latest offerings. In this video I compare the new R70xa headphone to the older R70x, the R70x Refine, and many others. I also cover the new ATH-R50x, a headphone I think will be very popular in the entry to mid level space! I include measurements, gaming performance...

i plan on in, doubt i can be allowed to make it go boom because im silly

Hey guys, so I ordered a pc with a ryzen 7 7800X3D and a RX 9060XT, if theres any fortnite players here, do you think my pc will run at least a constant 240 FPS or more on an AOC Q27G4ZD 240Hz 1440p QD OLED monitor? It also has or “says” it has 0.03ms
Look up some yt vids
Fortnite is a cpu based game, so honestly could push 240 on medium settings, totally will depend
Yes I’ve heard that a lot, and perfect, I planned on playing performance mode if you’re familiar with that
I tried, its hard to find any lol
You should be just fine
Yep

very similar to hd490 tuning wise and price wise
Are you «upgrading»?
Nah, no moneh
😭
😭

Is there a similar version to the optimum key caps found anywhere for the split 60 he v2
Wooting ever thought of putting the PC altogether in the keyboard?
Raspberry Pi 400/500 is one
Just plug your keyboard in any ar glasses or monitor and you are good to go.
Yea, but I like my pc keyboard to be a good keyboard. HP also did a weak attempt at CES
you can make one yourself
Damn, that bio of yours 😐
True. But if I want one, maybe there are others. Maybe even many enough?

probably not
pc users want to customize their stuff and they usually want something with good price/performance
Do you actually sell fruit?
which you will never get with a small form factor pc that fits inside a keyboard case
without having it look absolutely massive
They use Arch btw
The future is local cloud gaming. I want my beast of a pc locked in the basement where the noise won't bother me, I just need something with a fast LAN connection to my display of choice.
lol
usually people want to reduce latency as much as possible
you can use active long range cables to put your pc in another room entirely
no need for a second computer involved
GeForce Now is somewhat okay but its expensive
Im not a competetive gamer anymore. Don't give a crap about winning as much as I did. I just enjoy the keyboards from wooting. And as the community ages, the likelihood people end up like me increases.
Rather just install fiber in my house and have it available on all my lan connected devices.
Soo you want the same setup as Linus from LTT ?
I enjoy playing on my tv as well as desk, or on phone when im up and about.
I want less shit on my desktop and my beast machine available everywhere, yes. I have seen and experienced what Apollo/sunshine can do. Im not going back.
i'd honestly just tape a mini pc to the back of the monitor that you can use to stream
Yes, it's an idea. But what if you want a keyboard, and with ar glasses taking over the market when it comes to displays, I don't see myself stuck at a single spot as much anymore.
It would basically be a laptop without a monitor.
sounds like a project
grab like a steamdeck pcb and design a case you can put that and a keyboard inside of
would need giant batteries tho if you want it to be wireless
I agree, that the market is not here now. But when glasses take over I don't see people fawning over a laptop as much as just something to interact with what they see.
I don't know ar glasses are taking over the market
I think that's very much wishful thinking
AR/VR is soo niche tech that not everyone has one
thing is there is no other option, Google tried with stadia but they killed that off.
I believe it's a question of time for glasses. What i have seen in the market and from the people I work with.
I disagree, very much. Especially when glasses are annoying as hell to wear
Google glasses
For now. But with glasses you also no longer need a screen for your phone. And it's not only glasses that industry is talking of, lenses are heavily invested in.
Idk mate i don’t have 4000$ to spare on smart glasses
But we will see. My bet is on glasses, much more portable and potentially better user experience.
You know they said the same about the nintendo visual glasses thing
You can buy state of the art ar glasses for 1000usd
The question is why
They said the same thing about VR tech 10 years ago
Price is decreasing rapidly
You don't want a wider fov? Or a hud to avoid bringing up your phone every second?
Before the smart phone, would you have said the same thing about a phone?
permanent doomscrolling with my ar glasses
Because I don't need my vision to be filled with ar, in fact I despise such

No
Im not saying it's good for you, im saying people will go for it either way
Okay. But so far you've still not given me a reason why I should go for such that matters to me. And I assure you, most people think this way
Now I need to go to work on my other 2 screens, instead of just switching context. Mic drop.
I can't wait to be shown full screen ads from the inside of my glasses while I'm trying to cross the street
Big bussom baddies waiting at the next intersection. Take a left! Spondered by google maps!
they will show you ads for insurance against being hit by cars while crossing the street
This isn't nearly as cool as you think it is...
And the Grok integration will purchase the insurance plan if it hears me scream in agony along with glass shattering
I’d take that over the insurance car scenario, but fuck them glasses 🥀
Sander screaming into my ear 24/7
I like the idea for playing games while laying down
Yeah... Meta lost $80B on that mindset, Apple most likely lost quite a bit on Vision too
People aren't really looking forward to be closed in screens, and it showed time and time again
The thing I like the most about the idea is that I won't have to wear glasses to see well, but on the other hand I'll already be wearing glasses anyway
I’d be more willing to try the AVP if they ditched the eye thing and made it lighter. Otherwise seems a cool device for a personal home theatre kinda vibe.
vr just isnt good enough yet
Not talking of VR, i don't think it's going to fly as much as AR. We're talking of these type of devices, at least, I am: https://eu.rayneo.com/?utm_source=rayneo_us&utm_medium=rayneo_us&utm_campaign=rayneo_us
And they are selling at 300 euro, not even >1000 usd
Ew, AI
Also how it's 1 year warranty on EU? It has to be 2 at least
different things
I agree on ew, corporate AI. Im not opposed to open AR glasses where i can use my own models for whatever.
Only reason im not buying the glasses is because I don't know how my data is used. If the running code was published, or i could run my own image i would buy them instantly.
my artisan pad arrived and first impressions are good
which one did ya get
hien soft
tuff i had one but i been on glass for a minute i think its more fun
Upgraded to an Asgard 3 AMP with their True Multibit DAC
Was bigger than I expected
I had the Bifrost 2 and also remember it being quite large. Was roughly the size of my amplifier however so they stacked well
My old setup
naisu
I had a Magni + Modi setup before this
It's nicer to only have 1 device instead of 2
Yupp, mostly why I wanted it I kept yoinking the cable and the top always slid off :/
@round lagoon

I fell for all the audiophile memes back then

(I never did analyse it)
wha
Not that it would be needed anyway
Because it's a strategy to make gullible people (formerly me) buy it
rest in peace
The day I pay 600 for a USB cable, if it's less than 4 miles long just shoot me.
$600 is legit almost as much as my current audio setup lmao. hd490 pro + fiio qx13
It was probably 1 metre long. The XLR was 0,5 metres or something
what the fuck
Chump change lol
The keyboard 😔
no but this is audio-dumb
must have been worth it
I want to get the Sennheiser HD 800S but I need to find a way to justify the price.
It's normal. Which still doesn't make it not dumb of course. But it's nothing unusual
how can one be an audiophile but have no idea how cables work and that there is no magic hundred $ cable that makes it sound better
They’re really good for the price honestly. If you’ve got the disposable income for it, do it!
Had those too. My pair arrived with the right filter missing which I realised when I got a headache and pain in my right ear and took it off
They were unlistenable without it in
I could buy so many retro games for that money though 😄
That's 90% of them
You don't really have to know how cables or digital transmission works to be an audiophile though
I would've noticed that after 10 seconds.
You can also sail the 7 seas for most retro games
get da hd490 pro, one of the pads gives the headphone the same kind of treble tuning as hd800s but a bit more on bass (can just EQ that down).
I didn't notice it when I took them out of the box because they are deep and I didn't look at them from various angles before taking them on
but thats like being a car nut but youre actually not cause all you do is spend money on cars without actually being interested in them or knowing how to compare them
Analog cables I can understand but if you buy a "premium" digital cable that isn't longer than usually supported by cheaper cables it's a waste of money imo.
I can't put digital games on my shelves!
Don't agree. Cables are only barely relevant to audio applications. Reasonably you only buy cheap ones and that's it. Nothing to think about at all beyond looks really. But if you are a car nut then it is cars you are a nut about
pretty sure that at least with xlr you prob get the same audio out of a 1$ aliexpress one compared to a 20$ one
so even more reasons why it makes no sense to ever consider those cables as an audiophile
But but but what about a digital shelf…checkmate
Today I have Sennheiser HD650, 660S2 and a pair of Philips Fidelio X2HR.
As long as your cable doesn’t introduce microphonics, you’re golden.
Because many companies and audiophools market cables as mattering for sound. It's a very normal though unfortunate part of the «audiophile community»
There are showcases at audio shows dedicated to talking about the «sound» of cables etc.
If they make an audible difference, then the difference is inherently bad
When we getting audiophile grade Wooting USB cable? Huh?
Cables properly deliver the signal or they do not. Anything else is bad
more on comfort/feel/style than sound, but since they're marketed towards sound, that's where the problem is.
who decides that
My top 3 most used audio devices are Fir XE6, Sennheiser HD800, and Apple EarPods (3.5mm wired).
I mean, those can affect sound through visual bias, but just blindfold lmao.
Cables have 1 job
Most of the time, any auditory preference is not based on anything quantifiable happening but just placebo
Plugging out and in new cables and they thinking they sound different is just a common case of placebo in most cases
I'll have you know my copper cables are air free for that good stuff!
If you buy the HD800S I really recommend EQing it. It sounds mediocre without that imo
most cases sure
but there are definitely differences if you got like "uncommon" impedances and stuff
I'll pick them up at some point, bought a Herman Miller Embody this month so all my play money is gone.
If it's verifiably not placebo then the reason is some other still quantifiable reason. There's no magic with cables. They work properly or they do not
This falls under cable not doing its job properly
Wouldnt say that
I dont know what the name was but they had some super low impedance one at some audio show
although it was comically thick
And were probably zero proper attempts to demonstrate a different sound with it
💩
not sure
My artisan mousepad got delivered today, very exited
what did u pick up

almost got me if it had a sylveon chair
why is there a chunk missing from the PCB?
I wish the superlight had a softer scroll encoder
Eaten, they got a little hungry during the disassembly
I like the super tactile encoder
felt like chewing some pcb
fiberglass is not good for you I will tell you that much
but i did accidentally catch it when moving stuff around and it cane off
rip
Me grabbing fiberglass insulation without gloves
Rockwool on top though, my favorite type of insulation
got 2 cool lil magnets from it too
Maybe I should stuff Rockwool under my wooting for sound dampening
number of screws in the super light
@twilit flame strikes again
was rather fun to take apart
minus the minor pcb breakage
It gets old after the 6th time or so.
only really wanted the pcb so i can have a box of random boards triggers springs etc
Are they still bad chairs?
I honestly don't know lol
Tbh i always wanted a SecretLab chair
As i found the prices on Ergo Chairs to be too much
What do they even cost
Ergonomic chairs in general or is Ergo a brand?
Several super expensive ergonomic chairs are very mediocre if not bad
I paid for the Herman Miller and haven’t looked back. Good way to spend over £1000 IMHO.
Your body will thank you for it.
I had the Aeron and hated it
I got a Mirra 2.Ilike it. Sturdy as well
Biggest mistake if you want a nice plush chair is to buy Aeron or really any of these quadrouple digit chairs
I remember getting a decent deal on it
I have a cheap gaming chair from Tesco its do the job for me
Well if you're 25 you can still sit on anything
Im 24 LOL
And be fine... I can't anymore
Sorry gonna be 24 soon
I actually will get one this summer to change out my old one.
Old one?
A good chair lasts more than 10 years
Noice
I need a good 80HE case but all the replacement ones are so ugly... the Wooting one has started losing paint because of the 90 degree edge around the spacebar and all the KBDfans ones are uuuuugly.
New headphones incoming
Seems like a downgrade over regular LCD-5 since it's more messy from 3k
$4500
Damn
Looked at EGO80 yet?
Yeah, the thingy above the arrow keys looks absolute ass. I like the overall look of the KBDfans GT-80 but they ruined it with the light bar thingy going to the edge.
Bone80 is the one I've been the closest to actually ordering.
I love the aeron personally
I tried the ikea one which is hyped but it was meh
If you're in the US, this is the best way to get one of the high end brand chair without paying several grand
@wet coral behold.
they are now keepsakes for my collection of bits n bobs

Anyone know how to acquire a inno3D iChill Frostbite in the US?
i dont need it
I dont need it
I DONT NEED IT
Yes you don't, your back and ass deserve better.
aww, the top of the chair doesn't have a ear that mimic the pokemon they're collabing
im using some dxracer ive had since like idk 2012 and im alive
wont be replacing my Herman miller chair thats for sure
I already found my endgame chair
Eevee chair would be peak
My chair is worth more than two of your chairs combined.
Maybe even 3
Wait till you get electric
True dat
eh, Herman Miller Embody is good enough for me personally
can you drift with it
Technically? I can already drift.
It's just dangerous
pussy
although my friend has a really crazy herman miller chair
Listen, if i fall out I can't get back up lol
ducky... he's in a wheelchair
I did not know that
if you gadn't figured it out already
That's the joke
Why do you think i mentionned electric
Cushion alone is worth about 600 euros
It's not comfortable though
I want an office chair, I just need to find one that I can lift the handles up on.
And transfer to
@blissful gust I bet you want this https://youtube.com/shorts/n20pRks-qP4
im kind of intrigued how your back feels…
That wheelchair he had is way too big for him lol
What back?
Unfortunately it's impossible for me to sit back so I'm pretty much always sitting upwards.
ohh okok, i wasnt too sure
But it's the cost of efficiency.... My last chair felt nice leaning back but was heavy and not efficient
I have been thinking about a second chair for in my house.
lolz
It was probably a rental d
tbh most wheelchairs are designed to be as easy to take down and set up as possible given that the person does not have working legs while also somehow being light enough to be carried by a single person
You are so wrong lol
maybe I am
most are designed with the assumption that you have someone else that can help?
A normal wheelchair can weigh from 15-20kg
It's only active wheelchairs that are designed to be lightweight
However it comes at the cost of comfort.
Depends, rigid ones are designed for people to lift into the car.
hospital wheelchairs are HEAVY asf
I see, there are also those folding ones where you take the wheels off and it folds down
that way it can be set up and taken down by a single person
That's the standard
I see
What do you mean folding down
folds to be smaller in some capacity
So folding in general
Ye that's just the default for most self propelled wheelchairs
maybe stability issues
eh, you can get pretty crazy with materials, at a price though
But yes theres
Wheelchair basic use, heavy af, cheap and cheerful
Medium active wheelchairs for casual use of a chair, lighter and designed more for users who can stand and walk but need a little support
High active wheelchairs peak efficiency, extremely lightweight so users can propel fast etc, mainly for full time users
I see
Active wheelchairs tend to cost a crap ton but are much much higher quality low weight materials
Eg I saw a Carbon fiber one for about 10k
I love carbon fiber!!!
My wheelchair costs around £3.5k before tax?
Surely 10k for a wheelchair makes the people selling feel awful because wtf
carbon fiber is not cheap lmao
i get that but thats just insane to me
But it's not as good as a rigid frame but that comes with its own drawbacks
Wait till you see this
Sec
Something that would give me an insane amount of freedom is out of my reach
Not the wheelchair in the picture fyi
The motor at the front
Before tax
oh so the motor is an individual thing you can attach ?
Yes, it clips on.
Things like that really shouldn’t be taxed given how many people need them
do you claim back the full amount or?
i have no idea how that works
ahhh ok gotcha
Ideally I don't even get charged the tax, they'll do the order and remove the tax before processing finds
Funds
But some places you have to apply for the refund
Fun fact, I can claim back tax from my vape that I use for medical weed but it's not worth it, however it's funny to think about.
i kept hearing about the medicinal weed, but i dont see much about it now
It works but expensive
i can’t remember the name but it was along the lines of Sapphire Medical or something
i remember seeing the prices and jumped out my skin

bad thing i used $300 on astrals i cant return anymore

It's funny how when oled monitors came I assumed they would keep saying 0,1ms response times since it would actually be accurate now but instead they moved the goal down much lower to continue being misleading
I don’t care about that soo
we are finally ready
nice
Moondrop Old Fashioned @quasi field @rapid bane
Bass: Very light in bass, lighter than hd490 pro. Don't get it if you want this.
Mids: Nice, average sort of mids that's just good enough.
Treble: Can be too bright for some people. Right at my limit.
Male Vocal: Clear and forward but not amazing.
Female Vocal: Clear and forward, but a little bit much for me.
Comfort: Acceptable, more comfy than an IEM but cable is kinda bad.
Sound isolation: Just enough for fan noises, terrible for outside.
Conclusion: Very nice on-ear for $25 (bought it for $15 at Taobao).
Try to EQ the bass up
I do it properly later but doing simple LS eq on 200 at +5 seems to be good enough for me.
good enough?
damn, with the EQ the bass really reminded me of hd490
also minor treble adjustment to make it more palatable for me
just reducing the 2khz with pk and Q1 really makes it shine for me
I kinda want the oldfashioned too now
Like, with -5db on that, it makes the sound stage better and less shouty, coupled with the bass the melody got more body to work with and makes it really a nice on-ear.
get it, it's only $25
I might, though I don't have a taobao
So I need shenzenaudio, which is pricy on shipping
Taobao you can get it for $15 but I gladly pay $30
what about linsoul or your nearest audio store?
Free shipping on Ali https://aliexpress.com/item/1005010457531097.html
Even straight from Moondrop https://aliexpress.com/item/1005010457140996.html
Genuine question Shot, should I get it without a good dac and no 3.5mm on my phone?
I only have a cheap 3.50 to usbc convertor cable
No dac
I use jm6 pro and qx13. Both sound similar.
So anything that can output audio is fine
what's the cable?
Does QX13 has battery and BT or not?
if that's the case, you're good
nope, it's just a dac/amp
Would you say this is an upgrade over like Chu v2 iems?
Oooh
Then I may actually pick it up
I'm not fussed about IEM wearability,
Haven't tried the chu2, but compared to zero 2 without EQ, it's a bit too bright and really lacking bass. With EQ, it sounds much nicer.
Are you using the moondrop EQ?
I'm using poweramp EQ
Okay, cool
Any EQ software would do fine
Lyrö next?
if I somehow have $250
Lyro tuning is like hd600 iirc, so I might like it more cause the treble on 2khz is a bit less and you can make the bass more/less

@hazy fiber you need pulsar pad or you’re COOKED
Jm6 pro strongk
the apple dongle is just fine
OH it's much worse haha
It's for my OnePlus, costed me 1 euro
oh nahhhh
Ooooo
that cheap of a dongle might be passive 💀
had a pair of usb c headphones that were passive instead of having a dac and it was pretty bad
Shroud said you must use the same brand for mouse and mousepad so it must be true
artisan mouse when
Unc got his sponsorships in his head, he’s really the one that’s cooked
Bros been using the same logislop for the last 15 years 😭
didn’t he say ur cooked if u even change ur skates
Yeah
He thinks using pads from a brand that isnt the same as your mouse is bad for the sensor, and that stock skates will always be superior to after market
It has to work flawlessly with my Logitech mousepad, it was designed specifically for it after all ☝️🤓 source: trustmebroimshrewd
if that's the case, you might need to spend $10 on fiio ka11 or usb c apple dongle.
@quasi field good enough bass?
I would be happy with this yes
okay, will try with this, I just don't know how distortion sounds like
MOAR BASSSS
first impression, the bass immediately gets me lmao
Surprisingly, I never hear anything distorted for now
With the EQ, the sound reminded me of my desktop speaker with the bass knob set to standard amount.
Is that good?
very good
Just listening to it to see if there's any issue, so far, for bass heavy song that I have, basically none that I can hear.
I prefer this one more compared to the previous one. Could be due to the fact that I EQ the treble to match my pref (hd490) further.
Everything just sounds more natural/livelier.
Like, the prev EQ still feel veiled in its presentation but with the new one it opens it up further. Which quite surprising, I fear the bass might make everything feels boomy/bloated but it bare affect the overall sound.
Just make sure the boost doesn't begin at too high of a frequency
Assuming «flat» bass I put the bass shelf at 105 Hz
Like this
mines rises right at 150
can see it here
gonna let my ear take a rest
What will tenz 80he cost
Next week u gonna know
Thats kinda meh
big day for gits fans, personally I like it a bit more than the eva design
I've watched both though, and got some eva merch at the store in shibuya
I have a shirt with rei, that specific design just didn't do it for me
I can understand that
my bad, should I spoiler it? I suppose you would've deleted it if it should be deleted though
I was kidding
I don't see an issue personally

Open back DD around $400 releasing at FEB
Hopefully this measures well.
might have to try and cop this
also thinking of buying beast x max with solid sides, will go broke
ive been trying to avoid the consoom but urge is growing
Alltho I did sell my old wooting so that can cover the new mouse
and If i sell my old airpods that could cover the mousepad
Looks interesting. Glad they're using the best transducer type
They market it as lightweight but I don't see the weight anywhere
maybe the weight is the friend we made along the way.
Release date not too far so we'll see soon
It would need to be a really good headphone to sway me
💪 💪
is that the max or regular?
Max
My hand doesnt even touch 90% of where the holes are
And where it does, it feels fine
Ok
The only place the holes bothered me was on my mini where I didnt have solid sides
My hand rests completely on the mouse. I don't know if that would be right for me.
I cant palm grip
I used to run a mini with 20x12 hands 😭
daymm
That's why I bought the Pulsar X3 CrazyLight.
It was fine for ftip until my arthritis started getting bad
change of plans I got the purple beast max
hopefully I can get the eva sp005
Which?
Never mind, i'm sticking with the Pulsar. Shudder My bank account needs to recover first.
I've spent enough money on keyboards and mice lately.
lol
Anyone hear worked with a Nollie board? For rgb centrilisation without the header on your motherboard?
Sure?
Are you stuck with signalrgb or are there decent alternatives? I'm worried about being pigeonholed into the software
OpenRGB is an open source software a lot of people like
if it wasnt so buggy sometimes
I am so happy I dont have an RGB focused build
dealing with all of that sounds like a massive PITA
It isn't really. Took maybe 30mins to set up once.
Stuff like Corsair RAM is finicky and doesn’t like any RGB software. Even iCUE 😂
Sure. That isn't OpenRGB's fault though. That's just RGB RAM being shitty.
i use it to only turn all rgb off but ram is weird yes
gotta refresh the software on every start
I’m happy I don’t have one because I don’t like the look, but I still had trouble turning off the rgb on my gpu
Oh 100%. But to get RGB components to work consistently and talk to each other with any software is a hassle that isn’t worth it imo. My first pc had msi GPU, Corsair ram, NZXT aio, and Arctic fans. I ended up just putting everything to steady white because I was tired troubleshooting. Haven’t used RGB in my builds since.
I liked OpenRGB until they swapped away from WinRing0, after that it no longer worked with the new method for me.
I used OpenRGB because it can load profile on boot without running in the system tray.
Everyone did. They had to...
Still shit as PawnIO feels like dog software even the installation process is dogshit.
I'm back to using my motherboard software but hate it because of always having to run in tray to work.
havent had issues with pawn
You can save to memory now
My corsair I could save to memory somehow
I got gskill
G.Skill RAM is... frustrating.
I have to run a background service on bootup to reapply RGB every poweron.
I got annoyed with their app, so now I have a .bat file that quietly runs the service without the app on login. 😄
Has anyone tried running Dynamic Lighting with a compatible motherboard as their only RGB software?
Going for my next build I was kinda interested in it if I could just use that instead of installing other software for it but my current motherboard doesn't support the feature.
will tenz 80he have same cost as normal as i may want to purchase
Pricing will be shared on the 29th, when we open up orders.
artemis-rgb.com This is the one i use
Ok thanks
i run openrgb on everything
Lian Li's new software has open rgb built in, but it's definitely buggy, like it doesn't detect my ram at all
You probably have already, but everytime u get new parts you gotta run openRGB in admin mode at least once]
sadly support for a lot of motherboards is still lacking
And that's why you don't rely on that and get an RGB controller
If only motherboard manufacturers could agree on one standard and not create their own stuff out of nowhere which doesn't work half the time and needs controller app that looks like malware and runs only on specific flavour of Windows 10 and only if Mercury is in retrograde
oh my problem is that i cant control the rgb on the mobo itself with openrgb https://gitlab.com/CalcProgrammer1/OpenRGB/-/issues/4359
it has some rgb on the m.2 and io shield basically
and only the msi software can control it
i d be fine with proprietary software if it wasnt straight up bloatware
Asus armory crate💀
or razer synapse
or msi center or whatever its called
they all take up way too much ram
Razer makes some nice mice, but other than that I despise the rest of their stuff
I'm fine if it's like a firmware for GPU or whatever
But it's LEDs, everyone stuffs WS2812s in there and some off the shelf controller for that, you don't need a sophisticated proprietary software to control all that
Just make a simple driver and that's all...
But fancy lian li animations😔
true
and the only software that can control everything is signal rgb
which isnt really light and its filled with ads if you dont pay
L connect 3 does?
Ye
Up at the top it says "open rgb beta"
You have to enable it, but once you do it doesn't have ads or anything
Ah yes you must use noctua fans which provide a 2 degree temperature difference and are ✨brown✨
I will be using noctua fans but they are black
Provide better airflow, quieter, better long term and have good warranty
I have 10 lian Li fans myself, they are nice aesthetic wise but not performance wise
Yet again I’m doing a water cooled build so I want the best fans possible
Eek, yeah lian li have beautiful looking fans, but haven't noticed any temp or noise issues at all myself and I have 9 I think
pretty good
Oh thank you Google ai.
lol they are better imo
for cooling and being quiet yes
Yep, I do agree their brown fans aren’t the best looking. Glad they released new ones that come in black
Oh yeah of course. On paper they're definitely better, but for asthetics I couldn't justify the 2 degree difference lol
No new A12 Chromax tho :(
Triple 420mm rad setup
although wouldn't matter for me as fans aint the thing i can even hear
why not 9850X3d?
Bloody Christ lol
Water cooling ain’t cheap lmao
but like, its coming out in 5 days and its only 20 dollars more
What do you even need this power for? Games? Tf kind of game is pushing it to that temps
Do remember you can possibly remove any bad comment from getting to the AI and have it only points towards how good a thing is.
like cmon now
Oh is it really only 5 days? Will be interesting to see the benchmarks
Bought 9800x3d months ago now
ah fair
are 9800x3d that expensive in your market
I thought it was a brand new pc you were making
comparing 9850x3d to what i paid for 9800x3d a few months ago would make the difference 100€+
although 9850x3d not really sold yet so
I mean comparing MSRPs 9850X3D is 499 while the 9800X3D is 479
9800 bit old for msrp
yeah
There’s a 9850x3d?
yeah
basically a refreshed 9800X3D
worth it over 9800X3D if you can buy one for a reasonable price when it lanches in 5 days
if you are building a new system
Ah just higher clocks
yeah, not crazy if you already have a 7800X3D or 9800X3D
Would be relative to the 9800x3d pricing
MSRP is just 20 dollars more for 9850X3D vs 9800X3D
The pricing can vary a lot on the 9800x3d though, it’s been out for a while and there’s occasionally good deals on them
yeah
watercoolings seems like a total waste unless you do it for the final touch of aesthetics
let the man waste his money if he wants to tho
noooo
Some of them are dirt cheap and still perform better than the NH-D15 G2
oh I meant like custom loops
gpu temps are good enough without that
and aios are more than enough for cpus
arctic liquid freezer is top tier value
I can't justify the maybe 2-5 degree difference for a water cooling loop
The GPU typically benefits the most from it
Delid the CPU too
Unless I were shoving some high performance gpu into a mini itx case
I couldn’t be bothered imagine doing a custom loop, cause it adds so much maintenance with draining and flushing
50-series cards have good temps unless you’re suffocating it
there really arent aftermarket gpu coolers any more, so if you get a ref or low end gpu you can watercool it to lower the noise
The FiiO JT7 is an open-back planar magnetic headphone priced around $120, and Resolve and listener are here to give you the rundown on what may be the new planar benchmark in the budget headphone space.

Poor man's attempt at recreating FT1 pro with hd490 mold.
has there been a day without you comparing something to hd490
no, it's my perfect headphone
comfort, sound, and drivability wise
its okay ig
also like, 3khz peak kinda bad ngl, really makes instrument sounds thinny with no soundstage, reducing it drastically improves the both for me.
Just enough to match hd600 is good enough to me.
somehow, hifiman is better tuned lmao. But build quality make me go ehh.
Not sure, but the peak at that is very consistent across multiple mearsurements
It's also useful if your case can fit a large water cooler but not a large air cooler
TG makes good gpu WC blocks, but they're $$$$
i mean air coolers
Those are kind of rare, most of the aftermarket air coolers I've seen are blower style ones so you can pack them more tightly together.
Like on Superbuy or 1688
Or JD
Maybe aliexpress at a higher price
Heck I've seen some that are just server conversions that have no fan at all and it's just a giant heatsink that goes into a server
thats literally what im saying. you used to be able to get a cheap card with bad cooler, and get a better aftermarket air cooler
Yeah
But the Chinese manufacturers shifted focus away from that market and more towards enterprise repurposing consumer gear to enterprise gear
Like the 4090 to RTX Pro 6000 ADA conversion GPUs
soo looks like my AIO is failing
Hi I bought a dt770 pro x
But when I connect it to my interface
Only hear one earcop
How should I setup it anyone can help?
whats your pump RPM at?
Is it fully plugged in?
unlucky friend, if you do need to replace, get a Frozen Notte, quite affordable while competent
whats the max RPM that your pump is capable of and what happens when you set the pump speed to 100%?
the pump is rated to 2000rpm
and i can't change anything within windoge
https://www.arctic.de/en/Liquid-Freezer-II-280-RGB/LFII280RGB this AIO doesn't have any programs
You can in the BIOS or Mobo software, there are controls for the headers
i don't want Asus bloat
Where are you guys seeing the idle?
then BIOS
and i think its set to max in bios
yeah but you can set a %
weird
I figured it was bios, I'm curious now lol
fair enough, could massively contribute to its life shortening
if its truly the case
i never changed this stuff
evidently, often it's default, but doesn't make it any better for the pumps
Alr people take you bets now, what's the idle temp with a 9950x3d with a hydroshift 2
Time to get air cooling which doesn't let you down
depends on your power limits
and the boost behavior set in windows
Haven't overclocked shite, it's set to high performance in windows
37C
Weird, when I boot to bios it's just a black screen, it'll boot normally to windows though
The problem was the adapter wasn't fully connected i rotate it an it fixed
Doesn't matter, what really does is how it does under substantial load.
💀
Probably pump failure then?
yeah that's what im thinking
since at 100% it should be at 2000 rpm
but the pump is instead running at 1900 RPM
Also the fact its near full rpm and idling at 70C 😛
yeah LMAO
Apparently it's because my board is just super fussy with ultrawides lmao
why is my pc saying to “eject nzxt kraken plus v2”

Whats the best type of artisan mousepad?
Subjective, but you could start with something like a Key 83 or a Zero Soft.
nzxt cam picks up my aio and temps seem to be running normal so ill just not touch things i dont understand
@rain turret did you ever figure out a cool mouse for me by chance?
I heard Pulsar X2 Crazylight is pretty good
I've been using EGG OP1 8K for over a year now, basically brand new, highly recommend
I like my crazylight
i want my superstrike
can confirm, my x2h mini feels incredible
My X3 CrazyLight Mini feels damn good too.
I wanted to get you something lighter and less bulky, but nothing else really on the market with tilt controls.
So the Z3 might be it for your needs.
With a black keyboard and mousepad what colour mouse would look best?
black
Any vibrant color, orange and blue for example
its a g703 clone right?
G703? I'm not familiar with it. So I can't say anything about it.
I’m asking this as I might purchase an orbital pathfinder and maybe a core colour to go with so wondering what would look best with my black 60he v2 and black mousepad
I think a white mouse looks nice on a dark pad
I might go for a white one then
it is very good
not really, the X3 is kind of its own shape
crazy good
I might get Crinear Daybreak this year
I want an emergency IEM that I can make music with incase my 490 broke.
Though, Old Fashioned EQ to my taste sounds pretty close/similar.
But I also want it to be able to block out noise outside.
But I also have the 7hz Divine which is also tuned similarly to Daybreak. Hmm.
@quasi field interesting thing I found out just now about AirPods, if you go to the accessibility settings they have an option for you to do a "Custom Audio Setup" in the Headphone Accommodations section and it does an AB style test of different EQ presets and changes the tonality of the headphones based on your results in the AB test kind of like PEQdb target shootout test. It does actually work in making them sound more pleasant if the stock tuning is not very good.
I literally did not know this was a thing until just now
although thats not optimal and stuff
when you're trying different EQs AB test is fine
eh, AAC is fine
No not that kind of compression
I'll try it out when I get an iPhone
changing volume differences between
so adjusting the dynamic range
making loud stuff quieter and quiet stuff louder
you mean level matching?
because level matching is very different from compression
also to answer your question, level matching is taken into account when AB testing EQs
so that is a non-issue
no
I still dont understant what you are trying to get at then
dynamic range compression
The settings you adjust in that menu dont function solely as an EQ
oh, ohhhhhhh
they do let you tune that, but they only have 3 options
they have slight (default), moderate, and strong.
mine said
Yes i know the menu, i just wanna make clear that it isn't a way to just EQ
if that is what the result said then let it be,
yeah, thats unfortunate, but the AB test is nice to have at the very least
and theoretically it would also be quite hard to EQ them as they adjust their own tuning based on volume and stuff
yeah, volume normalization
so might only be possible if apple would let you do it deeper
and there is no way to turn it off as far as I know
not sure if you could call it that for a device
isnt that more used in the context of like a streaming service having all songs at similar volume (as an option)
the headphones "normalization" would be more based on human hearing characteristics, so with some kind of offset
yeah
gets even more complicated with anc on 😭
yeah apple audio engineers are certainly really smart
they try very hard to make sure that airpods sound consistent in as many scenarios as possible
I like that my airpods switch to anc by themselves if a really loud sound happens
if only they kept the app2 tuning
also it does have a proper name, loudness-dependent equalization
true
stockpiling app2s for the future
although their HomePod is way crazier in how it works
i only use mine to control the lights 😭
lmao
thing is its also a really good speaker.
got the mini tho
ah, rip
the normal homepod automatically tunes itself to the room it's in over time by using the mics on it to detect echo and reverb and change the output of its directional speakers to improve the sound consistency in the room.
its pretty crazy stuf
i think the new echos are also good at that
they can do it like for a big surround setup
yeah
my frickin iems keep making popping sounds with spotify and yt audio
windows
shits so annoying
rip, what audio interface are you using?
wdym by audio interface...
what you plug your headphones/iems into
the pc
motherboard?
dont think so no
is it plugged into the rear of the PC?
tis non
is plugged into the headphone jack next to my power on button for pc
ive only ever had my iems connectedto my monitor so
monitor and PC audio jacks are typically not very good
I would suggest investing in like a basic DAC
heck the apple USB-C dongle will suffice for most IEMs
at least the US model
plugged into the back and i cant hear shii#
hold on
i may genuinely just be being dumb
its ok LMAO
oonbly seems towork in the front jack
although from my experience it can be windows...
its usually really rare.
I personally havent had issues on 44.1kHz 16 bit
im gunna check device management and power management stuff
this is more of a realtek audio driver thing LMAO
just updated one of the drivers
checked EVERY driver just incase
hm still happening
seems to happen more at max volumes
oh, thats the audio clipping
Windows.
time to get a balanced cable
your jack is probably cooked
mine does the same thing
but yeah would just invest a dac like ducky said
It reminds me of when my interface was set to too low of a buffer size. Kept making cackling noises
Aside from what has been mentioned so far the only other explanation I could think of would be condensation or something in the earbuds
wtf am i looking at @abstract warren
What the helly
Is that some airplane IEMs dawg
Reminds me of those skullcandy earbuds from 2005 😭
Do it, buy it
expensive ear wax cleaners
