😂
My first ever pc I built has a 1050 and I gave it to my lil brother
Should I put this in
it's probably not worth much but if you don't have a use for it give it a better home, wether that be with someone you know or selling it
if it's better that sounds like a nice thing to do
After spending way too much time, I now control my lights through the stream deck haha
I have light switches

Looks more purple with the “new” tech lol
But almost no reflection
Really excited to see the performance of LG's RGB stripe monitors
Wait till you hear about ZigBee and home assistant
not as good as WOLED, sadge
I guess I will have to wait another year to see if the glare on QD-OLED will be better
Is it tomorrow that a new wooting product is being revealed?
I dislike how every display technology is a compromise in at least a few ways
yeah, QD-OLEDs are unusable in my space since I use natural sunlight to light my room
Thanks to ASUS ROG for sponsoring this video! Check out their all new PG34WCDN QD-OLED and the rest of their ROG OLED gaming monitors using our links:
ROG OLED Gaming Monitors: https://rog.gg/OLEDmonitor_LTT
ROG Swift PG34WCDN Monitor: https://rog.gg/CES26_PG34WCDN_LTT
5th Gen QD-OLED panels are here, and what better way to test them then by p...
Finally a Linux video that reflects my use
Anyone have experience on custom water cooling loops
Thinking about maybe doing one and changing my case
A bit yeah
I would highly suggest not doing it LMAO
like its actually super not worth it other than for looks
like an AIO will be cheaper and require less maintenance than a custom loop
well a custom one will be no better in terms of performance tbh
unless you really want to have an IG worthy PC
for the gram they say

Mhh~ fuck~
Such a well designed computer
Only Apple could make something this good
Imagine if premade desktops were this fancy and custom
Also Apple makes really good fans
Mac Pro is super quiet for the power it can draw
It uses 4 giant custom fans to cool the entire computer
Its a really smart and efficient design
im still salty that they got rid of the MPX connector.
Dream computer
Just have a smol 4070tiS window pc on the side for gaming and I'm set
nah, I love MacOS
I very much dislike Windows over MacOS simply because Windows is way less stable than MacOS in my experience.
You get used to it
I cant live without spotlight search now after using it consistently LMAO
Is that a way to search for files on your computer?
also to quickly open apps, execute actions, do basic web searches, make quick notes, browse your clipboard history, etc.
plus you have advanced search options like specific dates, file types, file sizes, type of action, etc.
and its done super quickly because MacOS indexes everything
What’s that
do u think it would be worth upgrading my case mob and aio? montech xr ATX, Asus tuf b650-E, kingcool aqua 360mm
depends on whaty you are trying to achieve
idrk just considering it since I just bought a new gpu
i have a rysen 7 9800 x3d rn
so thats fine
you're fine as long as the gpu fits
then yeah you're fine
I just didnt know if it would look the best tbh
@obtuse dove like Ive always wanted the Lian li case
theyre nice yeah
I think it would look so sickk
A mixer for dual devices like 2 pc setups or 1 pc 1 console with dual inputs/outputs
Upgrading from nothing to nothing?
It will give u close to 0% perf, only aesthetics
Epomaker Carbon X
︀︀@dazztrazak was right. Shockingly good. S tier omron optical implementation. A tier coating. Good weight (front-heavy). Solid side buttons.
︀︀
︀︀Only dislikes are small skates, scroll isnt notchy at all
︀︀
︀︀Disassembly stream today maybe?
not bad but I'm putting all my eggs in the Razer basket. It's the Jensen Huang of mouses wearing a leather jacket
Is that the one with "Genuine PU Leather" which is not leather, but polyurethane?
I think my $100 samsung case had fake leather made of corn
hey at least it fits a normal USB plug
because apple managed to fuck that up on the leather cases of the iphone 15
but it doesn’t enjoy staying on the phone
a 1000€ btw
Then your port is clogged
No the case fits poorly on the phone

How they can be Eggmans if there's no Egg shape
suggestions for a good sound headset and a separarate mic?!
budget?
200 for both lowks
both headphones + mic, idm if headphones got mic i wanna buy separate
can do 300 tops
If you can bump it up to 300 you can get Sennies HD560S + Fifine K688W, great combo
The attachable dac that came with my deva pros... The usb port is loose as all hell
my brother bought HE400is which have the metal grate rattling at specific frequencies
oki ill look it up tysm
🗿I switched to my audeze Maxwell's (that needed to be repaired)
he also has anandas where you need to bend the frame so the earcups aren't 100% parallel to each other since they don't adjust in that direction
stock cable is also the worst cable I have ever tried on any headphone
I didn't even got a stock cable with my Aryas, nor the eggbag
no loss
no wait sorry
not arya
ananda
that headband is absolute garbage
makes them have insane amounts of pressure in the rear and no pressure in the front
I got this really lovely 2x3.5 to 4.4 cable from FiiO for like 10€ for them
I got an arachne cable for my philphones
and a linsoul tripowin granvia for my hd6xx
How often you buy a cable honestly
Plus if it's really nice it'll work with multiple pairs over years
depends on how often it breaks
I had multiple for the hd6xx already
so I decided to buy a somewhat nicer one, the granvia cables are actually pretty ok
and I was alright to spend a lot on the philphone cable since that is my endgame headphone
good morning Snowy Calsy

hewwo
i spent the last 14 hours on warframe
Aryas headband is really nice
Just that the regulation doesn't hold at all, It's enough that I move my head a bit too quick and they fall
So I 3d printed a small catches for it
at least they sound absolutely amazing

gah damn
And comes with absolutely nothing
Even a stand is just a piece of foam that was used to secure it in the package
No cable, no eggbag, nothing
M50Xs came with 3 lovely cables and a pleather eggbag
And a 3.5 to 6.3 dingus

https://youtu.be/gST4LJfqmy4?t=447 if only the edition xv had tuneable baffles to slightly improve the vocals, like this thing can. timestamped

Astro A50 Gen 5 + EQ using the provided software
EQ?
Equalisation. It changes the sound for the better. The provided software with the Astros lets you make your own or just download any of the thousands of custom presets. When you enable an EQ it is stored on the headset
He said he doesn't mind if it has a microphone. And besides the microphone on it is very good
Delete after applying EQ
ohh i was lf a seperate mic not the one on the headphones
i meant i dont mind if the headset has a mic but im totally buying a seperate!
headset mics lowk not my fav
The mic on the Astro weighs absolutely nothing and is unintrusive at least
ohh oki
bought this yesterday second time buying it im js moving out and i needed a second one its perf
Why are you buying a second one?
Emulating Typing of the Dead of course
cuz im moving to my college apartment and i lowk wanna have my old one here in my house
Sounds like a highkey waste of money
wooting keyboard is never a waste
Are those Wootings?
i have 2 setups
Nah, it's how arcade was built
im not gonna move around my keyboard everytime i come back to my house i fly w plane
You could dual wield if you wanted to
Amazing, I had no idea Typing of the Dead was in arcades 🤣

Stressful looking
Also don't forget about Pinball of the Dead for GBA
Ooh, might have to fire that up on my Analogue Pocket 👀
@round lagoon thanks for the recommendation on the 490s i really like them alot 😄 they sound really good
only thing i am really bummed about they send me a used product for the price of new >.<
if you can maybe you can try replacing it?
This is now the 5th Moondrop planar headphone I've reviewed, and my complaints about the chassis are... mostly the same. So Moondrop's not focused on the build and ergonomics, but instead focused on the driver technology and developing their VDSF target for headphones. So is it working? It's definitely doing something.
See the Moondrop Skyland ...
wtf is that dip at 6k
What does he mean by bass surprise? The linearity?
just that his glasses created a gap that increases the bass
at 20hz
is it today that wooting is supposed to be revealing the last thing from their new years stream that they teased?
True but is the aesthetics worth it 🤔
also no imo
ur better off buying an oled monitor cuz thats what u look at 100% of the time
The Heddphone seems better
Better channel balance
Very good channel matching
just hope I don't miss the 4k-6k being a river
Though, if I have $800, I more likely to grab the D1 compared to Skyland
I would
I would have to EQ that part for it to sound correct
But it's wide and so easy to EQ instead of a sharp hole
and that's what makes it nice. The other thing to consider is headpads.
kinda worried I won't be able to replace it in the future, but I can't seems to find replacement for it on their official store
Are the D1 earpads bad?
no, I just want the stock headpads to still be available for the next 4-8 years
Eg sjø
anyway, audeze maxwell 2

Yeah, I can’t find stock parts for my 598s anywhere 😔
In the UK that is
The aftermarket ones I purchased from Amazon completely ruined the feel for me
Meh
you can try using the same headpads that's on other sennheiser 500 series.
What an ugly messy bass profile
from sennheiser ofc
Glad I told my friend to not wait for the Maxwell 2 before buying a headset
It looks like a downgrade over 1. Same weight too
What does he think about it in the video?
It has the same bad mic too apparently. What a bummer
clearer astro a50 on the treble but might be shouty. Also can feel that bass dip on 60hz
Not EQing the Astro is like not enabling XMP
on stealth pads.
so astro a50x seems to be comparable with EQ
Those pads suck
Not as bad as the WC Freeze pads that I own
Worst sound quality ever
EQing also had a problem. I ended up reaching the volume limit of the Astros on certain songs
It looks smaller but that one leak showed it still has the same heavy weight
Anything more than 400 gram I will avoid, regardless of how comfortable it might feel initially
Yeah, the only pair I've owned that I've felt turned off by the weight was the Focal Clear and those come in at 450g, so somewhere around 350-400 is probably my limit
I don't find the Clears comfortable. Not just for the weight but the immediate comfort after putting them on feels a little disappointing
Just look at how many people wrap extra cushioning around the headband
I'm blessed to have never had issues w/ headband discomfort
put a floating baloon on top of the headband to reduce the weight by 100g
For me it's just weight, whether they touch my ears, and how well they clamp w/out squeezing my brains out

sounds absolutely ass ngl
can't wait for them to be super mushy
or you can make it have no feedback at all LMAO
level 0 is completely linear
its pretty funny
maaan what is logitech doing with their rnd budget
first people get omron opticals
finally, wooting mouse
and now they got that shit
g304 x is kinda cool ig
but also like 6 years too late
oh it gets worse, he describes the clicks like its plucking a rubber band in a really weird way
glad logitech is wasting their time and energy to make a way too complicated mouse just for it to suck
did they hire BMW engineers
well its not all wasted, he actually prefers the superstrike switches over the Blue shell pink dots in his superlight 2 DEX
mainly for the lighter click feel
yea and an m3 is also quite fast around a track

but when the time for repairs come it is gonna be a headache
and also it just looks shit
based on how the technology is basically contactless, its going to be very hard to break
unless you intentionally try to break it
batteries will inevitably
also it has regular sidebuttons and a scrollwheel
Battery replacement is probably the same as their other mice
yea so only a bajillion screws cause fu
It's 6 screws?
hey that is something
I didn't get any mice with that shape after the GPW cause the shape just sucks imo
and the last logitech mouse I opened was a G705 and that was even worse than a GPW on the inside 💀
I like the superlight shape
It's over
Apparently there will be a Maxwell with ANC. That's at least exciting. But it'll also be a 500 gram headset most likely
I currently have a 270 hz and 240 hz but not an oled
U think it’s necessary for an oled
Is there gonna be a 27” version to this?
Okay actually Maxwell 2 is heavier than the original even.
Holy shit this is bad
my neck hurts already
Yeah but it has PLANAR MAGNETIC DRIVERS dude! The SPEED... the bass is so FAST that it plays my 90 Hz tones as 100 Hz! Amazing tech! Definitely worth the 576 gram weight!
On the what the superlight?
Did they finally make it so its not like 18 screws to get the shell and internals apart?
Rip
But also whenever I see people that use 600+ gram headphones talk about neck strength I always doubt that they have actually gotten a noticeably stronger neck from wearing it
wearing the maxwell 2 is a neck workout
It seems to be more of a bone pressure thing than a muscle thing. You can definitely get a little bit used to it but it will never be good and it won't make your neck strong or anything like that
It's not actually a neck str issue for me, it's more how it'll pick up too much momentum when I move my head, or shift forward or backward on my head due to its weight.
Just unwieldy and doesn't move with me like I expect it to, and sometimes gives me a bad touch
That also sucks yeah
And I often have to push them back up since they slide a little bit forward
I have to go now before the feds arrive. You understand.
any recommendation for monitors?
I like looking at rtings
Is oled deadass that good
It's great in many ways but not every way
For most people, it will be a better experience
If you want the highest HDR brightess you go LCD. If you want the lowest possible motion blur you go for specific LCD monitors with strobing. If you are deathly afraid of burn-in you also go LCD. Aside from this there's not much
I’m just like
A guy
Idrc
Like I have a 270 hz rn that’s just an ips panel @quasi field
You will probably be the most happy with oled
I would call oled jack of all trades, master of some
Do you have any recommendations for certain ones or what
If I’m gonna drop the bank on a monitor I want it to be 360 hz
Wait did they remove the cool ai thing for league where it would glow red the direction someone was coming from?
I am deathly afraid of burn in and I regret buying my oled
I’ve had my qdoled for like 3 years and sometimes I’ll leave a game with the screen on and walk away for awhile and no burn in yet
I think that wasn’t from ASUS
I got my shi on 5min timeout
and if I’m on discord I’ll move the window around so it’s not in the same spot
oled made me mentally ill
It wasn’t for when someone is coming just team battles
That AI Sniper thing was cool too, it would zoom around the reticle to line up the shot better
When I had to open mine it didn't need 18 screws lmao
What is this Dota knockoff on the pic
Yes, thank you
LMAO
Pretty cool
My gpx 1 had a small pile of screws just to separate the shell from the internal skeleton thing they have to hold their side buttons and scroll wheel
Oh the skeleton thing
Ohhhhhh
Yeah the completely necessary skeleton
That piece alone weighed as much as the entire outer shell of my beastx mini lol
Gpx could shave off a good bit of weight if they wanted to
I got a big gaming OLED, I only turn it on when I play games.
So no burn in for me, but people might not consider my method "reasonable" even if I am extending the lifespan of an expensive product
You can use it for regular desktop use too
I just embrace it
Mixed use is fine for current gen OLEDs
IPL for office work, OLED for gaem and movie
Because I know that if I do end up ever getting it, it will be at a time I'm ready to upgrade anyway
This lol
Besides I need one display for gaming which can display static images with no fear of burning out
How am I supposed to play Stardew Valley with no wiki on second screen
I will probably get braver
I used to be the guy with 5h timeout just leaving the browser open
but that was a $15 monitor
I don't hide my task bar. Never did the 3 years I had an LG C2 either. 0 burn-in on test patterns
I used to hate the idea of hiding my taskbar but after trying it's not so bad, the extra vertical space is nice sometimes
I miss the clock occasionally but I can just look at my wrist
I like it
Looks a lot cleaner + avoids any risk of burn in
Based C2 monitor usage
Heyy guys, does anyone have experience with MCHOSE? I am asking about mice. I am looking at an AX7 Ultra, for its price it seems like a good mouse. But I am a bit cautious about the whole structure and coating. So my question is, should I invest 150$ to a Wlmouse Beast x pro or buy a cheaper AX7 Ultra.
Thank youu in advance!
Go WLMouse
Also people recommended me the Op1 wired, and now I heard they are releasing wireless version as well?
Is this the brand Embolia shills?
it's been out
I think that's atk
Nope, it's ATK
I was also looking at ATK mouses but no shape fit me...
trying the crazylight and the coating is really nice, very good compared to a mouse with no coating 🥀
im more excited for the return of the ROG Flow X13
Hmm its for 120$ that's not bad
480 hz
Might be worth it.
more specifically the one with the 360 deg hinge rather than the folio one
The deal is I don't want to spend like 150-200$ on my first decent mouse
Check Pulsar X2 Crazylight
Super light
not very super light
Also good to mention I have a hybrid Palm/claw grip

Lamzu Maya X
DeathAdder
Viper V3 Pro
ik but I am not a fan of the hollow bottom idk it seems risky to me
oh and the return of their dual screen laptops
Bro thats expensive
that as well😭
There's nothing risky to it, most mice are like that nowadays
Ninjutso Sora V2
what about dust coming in?
I have v3 wired, love that mouse
I mean if it had TTC gold I wouldn't be woried at all
Okay if it doesn't affect the performance at all then thank you for your recommendations guys!
I will take a look at them
Best idea is alway to go to brick and mortar store, grab which one you prefer, compare on https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/find-similar and pick one of these
recommended my friend maya x and he loves his
I've visited eloshapes more then 100 times in the past 2 weeks xd
I will see if the Op1w is on sale anywhere other wise I would grab myself the Pulsar X2 medium or a Lamzu MAYA X
maya x is good
There's a pink one, it must be good
It would synchronise with the mousepad I wanna buy
crispy clicks, as in that first bite of a Pringle before they turned to shit?
cant find my blue mouse on my blue mousepad
Maya X or Crazylight medium
Personally wouldn't go for op1 4k wireless, 62g in big 2026
that's just me though
this one
personally I like more the skates and construction of Crazylight
I have mini
Syrox V6/V8 and pocket the change for a juicy anime pad
not the shape I am looking for
V8 has a similar shape to X2H
how yall feel about the raiden mousepad
fast
very good
I don't have one but yeah it's an artisan so probably great, if it has the characteristics you're looking for
It's the smoothest pad in their lineup, also the fastest
i have a 3xl glorious mouse pad so
well, except shidenkai
im looking for an upgrade lol
tragic
Anything will be an upgrade then

How we test response times: htt...
Okay this was uninteresting. Not worth a watch. The setup there didn't support 1 000 Hz for UFOtest
Ahh good
That's what I like to hear
Unfortunately I can't buy a pink mouse
My parents whould kill me😂
well with how cheap it is anyway I'd say it's a pad worth trying, especially if you like the artwork
450x400 is a pretty okay size too
gamjoh i fbf ugw
Not wireless? Smh
Wow look more things in the box than their multi-thousand dollar headphones
They didn't mention weight or price btw, It looks lightweight though
I wonder if the cable is on brand or if it will be usable
do we have a price
If anything like the Maxwell this might be the best Hifiman yet
But no way to tell without waiting for good 3rd party reviews
wtaf LMAO
this is legit the equivalent of saying "my keyboard is faster"
It's misleading because the transient response is just the frequency response viewed differently
You improve transient response by EQing the frequency response into something better
I guess they're just hoping people don't know this and want you to think this is some inherent quality of the headphone
hmmmmm
You're still watching? I found it unbearable. It was like asking ChatGPT to make up a stereotypical product reveal keynote
like saying the keyboard is faster because the actuation point is higher (looking at you corsair and logitech)
«It's about bringing gamers together»
was mainly interested in the new zephyrus duo
they are prob gonna sell an overpriced dac with it
Empowering gamers with the new Zephyrus Duo
with copilot+
at only 1699€
too low
I don't really think they will since it wasn't shown
They didn't say it sounds better or anything so I don't mind it
Since this comes with many different plugs it's very compatible which is nice
They don't do this for their expensive headphones
I find steelseries arctis nova pro approach better suited for gamers
despite the shitty software
idk where rog is going, marketing a planar open back for gamers that most of them don't take care of their stuff
It might be good. I'm cautiously optimistic after seeing the reasonable looking design and generous cable supplement
But I won't buy it anyway since I only go wireless
it can be good, but it's like the Volkswagen phaeton : this is a probably fine product but not under the good brand
I don't find any information about it online yet. I'm very curious about weight. I assume it will be lighter than Arya etc.
I think this is more pertinent to market theses as hifi headphones that are good for gaming, instead of the other way
Being good for gaming is basically synonymous with also being good for music and vice-versa, unless by good for gaming you mean overaccentuating the sounds of footsteps
looks like it's built mostly of premium plastic so yeah, confort is a key point for gamers that play multiple hours a day
yes
the point is I don't think gamers will enjoy it as much as audiophiles
I see it as a "audiophile headset" that is good for gaming only because it's open-back and the soundstage should be at least decent
kojima production x rog is something i didnt expect
8hz to 55khz is wild
And utterly pointless
I remember my Z1R marketed it could reach 100 kHz or something
Okay 120 kHz
what's the gain at 8hz also
Rolled-off quite a bit probably but I never see anyone measure lower than 20 Hz anyway so I don't actually know how it would look
like, technically if you put 12Vpp into the cable you can get infinite frequency response
flat to 20hz is already good performance, idk how they calculated their thing but ...
Yeah it's really good
Also I doubt the headphones that market 100 kHz frequency response are fast enough to play at anywhere near those frequencies without a tremendous loss of amplitude
Oh also most dacs and amplifiers certainly do not go that high anyway
"future-proofing ✨ ✨ ✨" - Asus
Future proofing for when humans develop hearing that high

yes, surely we will become literal super humans able to hear at those frequencies in the future, so asus is thinking ahead

alright lets take a look

Now why tf has rog made 240hz oled glasses

me want
$800, so oled territory
bruh they didnt even touch on any gpu
this bubble will pop and im about to have my taxes robbed even harder from me once it does
When tf would 1000 hz even be beneficial
😭😭
It’s only 800 dollars tho?
Yep, as stated in the vid
they need 1000hz 1440p then it's interesting
but also you'd need the gpu/cpu combo from like 5 years from now to even run it lol
I mean, it doesn't hurt to be prepared
Even 1 000 Hz isn't enough to be beyond the threshold of visibility
You need to reach the several thousand Hz area for there to be no more visible improvement
8khz monitor + 8khz keyboard would go hard
Yes, it would
Only fps games at a competitive level in terms of justifying the price imo
Seems like the Hifiman headset has linear bass. That will probably disappoint a lot of people when they start listening
That tuning looks in line with other "gaming" oriented audio devices tbh
Curves that accentuate footsteps and whatnot
Despite marketing that it goes down to 8 Hz, the provided chart has it stop at just under 20
lol yeah
Lmao, cheap headphones can do that
I saw this slide now. It's super minimalistic and extremely smoothed
And there's no way to tell where it actually begins since it's not properly marked
Lmaoooo
waow, that dip
at least it's flat on the bass and mids cause I like that
Measurement is very smoothed too. Will have to see reviews to get a clearer look at performance
Don't think so
Probably get beat by the Apple dongle
The cables look better than the ones that come with their non-gaming options
The balanced one is braided
weight not too bad
better than maxwell at least
happy they don't go the wireless route
Less than Arya
That is my disappointment
Now, the price. if it's no more than $400, I could prop grab it
It's $359
noice. About the same as para 2 on taobao
so this could mog para 2 especially if they provide replacement headpads
In comfort at least. Para 2 is very heavy
yesh
https://www.amazon.com/Schiit-Heretic-Affordable-No-Excuses-Headphone/dp/B0BLJ3RRHD pretty decent piece of Schiit headamp for $69 (115V only)
It took
Asus
For them
To include cables
make sense, this is a mass market product, they also include a dongle dac cause they know 50-80% of people that are getting this only using motherboard/laptop 3.5mm jack.
You only have a mic if you use the 3.5mm cable tho
As you should
Also, why dinguses for balanced aren't just 4.4 to whatever, but some kind of proprietary stuff?
I mean these
Could've just stick 4.4 on the end of balance cable and give 4.4 to 3.5 and 4.4 to 6.3
I guess, but doing the screw in way is also becoming common and looks cleaner imo.
Yeah, but if you lose a tip you're... heh... screwed
it's just a standard cable, can always replace
It won't have that ROG vibe anymore
waow

In anycase, can't wait to try it at a store
Can't wait for people to come asking if they are any good
I was looking for the frequency response of some headphones and ... wtf is that trebble
the trebbles are V-shaped lmao
Damn I was thinking of just getting a 560s, but I mean I might give it a shot lol
QC and CS going to be sketchy
Hifiman doesn't have the best QC and Asus being Asus
hifiman xs be like
not just atk this time
ewwww forged carbon
still no real world use found for carbon mice, invention of plastic already solved this
impractical ass material
fair enough
id pay for one, same for a fully weaved cf case
matte or gloss finish would be so
could be pretty sexy
Tbh idk what makes carbon mouse soo neat
vella has carbon accents but it looks pretty nice
weaved like this?
i cant load images atm
uhh it's the asus rog harpe
they r so slow 💀
I had another ticket open for smth different and they just stopped responding 🥀
Chargeback
christmas vacation
it's been back since early december
maybe if they got like a whole month christmas vacay
Hey last time I contacted their support I got no response
and i thought the maxwell 2 was the most disappointing headset of the week
why? Do you dislike open back?
Dropping when?
nah im fine with open back but this is just pointless, its not even wireless its like releasing a "gaming" keyboard in 2026 with mechanical switches
kinda heavy for a mouse dubbed Ghost. It should be 13 grams
ohh, no wireless. Honestly not a problem for me. I rather no wireless cause that means the headphone is lighter.
i dont mind wired either
but this shit is going to have a gaming tax
for sure
so its probably just a scam in the end
might be a good headphone for the price but as a gaming headset its already cooked
makes 0 sense to market it like this
January 14th I'll wait for the drop and buy it, if the cost is under 120$
Wonder if these are leftover edition XS or anandas, graph doesn't look like the edition XV
So ur saying 1k hz is worth buying.
mmm, head tracking
more weight so it feels more premium
Can you add weights like in G502?
yeah personally i like my mice to weigh a minimum of a kilogram

Infact just tape a brick to my mouse
just drill a small hole in the brick and put the motherboard and sensor in it
i dont even need mouse buttons, those are for losers

For right-click I just throw it against the wall

holy brick
I don't think the components needed to make it wireless weigh that much, but again just another reason not to use this big heavy transducer technology
Imagine the good tuning they could achieve with just using DSP
And they can have bass elevation too
so basically heavier mouse means = better
Their LCD headphones are 106 mm in size
next headphone 2 full blown subwoofers
ngl this looks horrible
the construction looks flimsy and uncomfortable
What's wrong with her neck
It looks like they edited the headset onto her and that she's not actually wearing it
holy crap i need to watch this, thank you
this is a great idea
that does not look like she is wearing it right tbh
wtffff
are they smoking
ye im just sticking with the maxwell 1 and if the Kithara are good maybe give it a try
they want to smoke that benjamin
We have (very smoothed) FR measurements of it already, though with only one pair of the pads, not both
They will definitely sound worse than Maxwell 1 to more people than not
Yes and now it's even worse on the 2
They have lost their marbles
and since the maxwell dosent have simultaneous bluetooth
i could just get a pair of wired open backs
since im not a console andy
yea its like 570g now right
you know whats also funny as fuck
the new strap
is actually gacha
bc not everyone gets it

Just wait for me to make the perfect gaming headset. It will be lightweight
It keeps getting worse somehow
how is hifimans QC btw i always hear its shit and my friend has the sundara loves them but also has some issues regarding that
Not great
A friend of mine had the Sundara and the earpads tore open very quick
You don't get what you pay for with Hifiman headphones. No accessories, no good quality control
I like my Aryas
When my friend got the Sundara I got the Arya and I remember liking his Sundara more than the Arya. That was back when I knew nothing of headphones and psychoacoustics
gg
alot of people also complained about the maxwell QC
but i got pretty lucky i guess
since i had 0 issues in 2 years
Never had QC issues with it. Sidetone is broken though but it's broken for everyone apparently
sidetone is cooked yea
Headset also makes some loud annoying popping sounds every now and then (stop with the damn planar magnetics!!!)
and the mic is also pretty fked in discord
It sounds terrible. My friend said I sounded really bad with it
I don't understand how they could ship it with a feature that is so obviously broken
i had this till i switched pads to the stealthZ
yea same my friends shittalked it so much i ended up buying a standalone mic
Good idea
and thats after the astro a50 gen4 mic
I use the Gen 5 and the mic destroys the Maxwell
It's my favourite headset
Worse than Maxwell before EQ, better after
With the Logitech software the EQ is stored on the base station so it's thankfully just set and forget
only atmos
I never tried Logitech wireless headsets
How are they?
i broke like 6 or 7 if you have any questions
Gen 5 is not perfect. I wish it had better channel matching. I wish the earpads were bigger. I wish it didn't look so ugly. But aside from this it's the best headset/headphones I have ever had
Astro is Logitech
If you broke that many I would really question the durability of them then LMAO
I know I know, that's why I'm asking
yea its kind of insane considering the maxwell are planars and i have had 0 issues with them
same with my astro gen4
i never had alot of razer stuff but logitech has imo even worse durability
one gpx i had broke during a tournament i played and almost cost me like 3k xD
Well you have probably seen me comment on the Gen 5s many times
Maybe I should stop so people don't think I'm shilling it
shill/puppet
nah you have a point if the gen5 are anything like the gen4 but better they have this open back feeling without actually being open back
i miss that sometimes even on the maxwell
The pads are very airy yes so they block little noise and cause little occlusion effect making them feel pretty open
And yes it sounds way better even before EQ than Gen 4
Gen 4 is truly horrible sounding
dang that is a pretty huge improvement lmao
now all they have to do is redesign them into something not ugly looking
Favorite headphones? @quasi field
Astro A50 Gen 5
I kind of don't like those treble dips but in games it's probably not a big deal
More info later this month
You are meant to EQ it imo. Not EQing the Astro is like not running XMP
What does it look like after EQ? Are those dips salvageable?
Are you referring to after 8k?
Yeah
Oh no I don't EQ those
Ah damn, could probably fix it with Equalizer APO and get a good parametric EQ loaded in to fix it
I haven't tried to EQ it since anything in those high frequencies can be hard to EQ well
I see
Here the first dip is at a higher frequency
So can't really on these measurements for the EQ which makes it harder
The dip is fairly sharp which simulatenously makes it hard to EQ but also a bit harder to detect since we are worse at noticing sharp dips than peaks
I'll try later just out of interest to see what I can do for myself
I have fairly sensitive ears so that would be audible to me
stupid youngen ears Smhsmhsmh
maybe becoming unc would fix the issue
How much are they
$300 if American
U like those over the hd560s?
Yes
What makes them so good
I could’ve got them for free but I alr had the 560s 😂
The first dip is related to the measurement rig I think
On several other headphones it is very similar there
They all go up at 8k and have a big drop (of various degree)
I don't remember what rig Gadgetry Tech is using
ok thats not horrible
Something similar to super review iirc
I use the Harman 2013 target for Gadgetry Tech because of something Listener said, let me find it
(in response to someone using Harman 2018 for Gadgetry Tech's measurements)
the IEC711 ear simulator is pretty old no?
I don't know when the specifications came out
huh, has a switch that gives it bass
the standard was first published in january 1981 iirc
$250 retail
and it was replaced with IEC 60318 in 2010
Surprisingly good
yesh, and doesn't cost much. Assuming it sounds similar to hd600, I might grab this over that headphone.
or $140 for early bird kickstarter
He uses IEC 60318-4
It's very common to use the terms interchangably
nice
So you see IEC 60318-4 referred to as IEC 711 and vice-versa. A bit confusing
I don't think anybody uses the old standard
Gras seems to use them synonymously as well
But B&K 5128 is the more accurate one now
yeah
I know Gadgetry Tech got that 3 weeks ago
Are u an ee major soria
cant to see another mearsurement of hd490 on those
im MechE lmao
Oh okay so locomotives not amplifiers then
lel
I mean, he can still design the thing that raises the HE-1
not to mention the vacuum tubes
and the knobs that rotate themselves
yessss
I wonder how the Maxwell with ANC will be like
I assume it's generally the same meaning a shitty mic and too heavy
Idk. This? https://youtube.com/shorts/nAS9oH4Kok0
Makes a lot of sense
Sexy. Cable looks detachable
ovo!?
Hopefully it's no more than 150
Reminds me of mini xlr for some reason, hopefully just 3.5mm
Ehh, looks more like mini xlr with that red and blue indent
Would be weird for a budget product with mini xlr
Why don't they just use more normal connectors. I don't like these
O shit, they're making a $500 studio monitor????
Where you see 500?
Just a guess, plus dt1990 and hd490 near that price too

Would be interesting to have something been their cheap on ears and their $1000 estat lol
How does it perform?
The $800 one is really stinky
Oh nahh wtaf
This is after compensating for HRTF of the measurement rig!?
Oh that's what I was talking about. I think it used to be 1000 msrp. It's also really old so I understand the weird measurement
Most estat measure weird, and the ones that measure normal usually have some dsp applied at the energizer level
Best measuring ones are the DCA Corina and HE-1
HE-1 is just a better Hifiman
*Hifiman copying it badly
The channel matching on the Corina is crazy
Almost just looks like 1 line through the range
Hifiman jade is pretty tame
I would hit excursion limits probably
It has a big lack of subbass and I would need to EQ it high up
that has to be legit AI, the strands of hair sitting on the side doesn't look natural. And that eye logo kills the design, it's something you'd etch on a tree to show kids at school, your new BMX gang insignia
Yeah, Dan Clark Audio has very very good QC in my experience
Great channel matching is an underrated thing imo. It's important for accurate spatial qualities
wish there was a good attachable mic option for the hd 490s

i am contemplating on either getting a mic arm and a mic or just a Y splitter with a clip on lavalier mic
Just get a separate mic and an arm
When I had wired headphones I also wanted to find a good attachable mic but none were good enough
separate mic and arm it is
dam got a response from the company where i got the headphones from, they don't do replacements >.< i need to send it back wait 2 weeks for my money back and then i can order a new one
whoever it was who told me to get tiger ice skates last week
ty very much it just made moving my Crazylight so much smoother
what mouse pad you got?
i need new skates as well ngl
wallhack silent ptfe aint doing me good rn
might get cyclone pros
Cyclone pros/obsidian air/TJ Plastix
yeah my x2cl skates dont feel great either
ill just swap them for artisan skates when I feel like it though
yurrrr
im gonna build a Zeromouse blade clone at some point
pretty soon
gonna get a 3d printed kit and harvest a mchose l7 series mouse and go from there
or im evil and put skates on top of the old ones and raise lod
i got a higround hxh kite mousepad
ill send a pic
its not the best mousepad but
I decided to do the right thing instead
Also get rid of that center ring
Around the sensor
sure
Rip, mine is very flat
it's flat but there's cutouts for the skates
bottoms out on a soft pad
can feel it scraping
Could try adding more dots
For me 4 is enough on my pad
I don't press downward very hard with my grip
4 is enough for me on an xsoft pad if the mouse is flat bottom
I'll try some more
a bit better with 8
probably good enough
expensive ass underside of the mouse now
8 artisan dots 💸
lol
they're too expensive for that!
Already have them on most of my mice
couple more and you can start curling with it
dam mouse collection
whats the top left one?
g wolves hsk pro
note 7 aah mouse
apparently there's a v2 now that's a few grams lighter, still micro usb though
you like finger tip grip?
that's the grip I use yeah
i am to used to palm grip i tried to change but it just cramps my hand like crazy
damn fingertip was just what always felt most natural
Such tiny mice
I had a gpx before but gave it to my brother
