Hoping for 5k (5120 x 2880) oled announcements at CES
unlucky, thought you got mailed Latina baddie DNA for cloning
I like the wired in Italian leather keeb mat ($55) over the felt one ($23), but the felt is a decent option if you don’t wanna spend a lot
Which sounded the best to you
Anyone tried FlexCord yet?
hd600 and 900 pro x
Just that hd600 is a bit too uncomfortable and dt 900 pro thin wire and only left side connector makes both a deal breaker to me.
What bothered you about the HD600? Clamp?
I heard about that, I'd love to try one at some point. Not terribly overpriced either
I finally built my new PC
Pics plz
Way better than my 12yo laptop:)
Nothing unique, I didn’t really plan on getting something aesthetically pleasing anyway. Next year I’m planning to move it to another room, and that’s when I can actually focus on aesthetics
Fuck rgb
Hope you enjoyed the build in that capacious vessel
I'm building mine here in the next week, just waiting on the mobo and the CPU😭
crazy mousepad setup
I didn't even notice that lmao
Keebmatholic kinda
I built this PC in April of this year. At the time, I thought about building another one for my wife or to put in the living room, but with the recent prices, I no longer feel like building another one. I built my first PC before I started college, and at that time I didn't have a stable job. Everything came from the money I earned doing computer maintenance for friends and acquaintances, and even at an internet café.
Now that I'm working and have a well-paying job, it's incredible how much it cost me to build this. Before, building a PC was a hobby, something easy, but now it's a luxury...
no gpu smh
Yes, that was when GPUs were unattainable and hardly available. In the end, I ended up buying an ARC, which has served me well so far. I'm waiting for the 5070ti
Me
I like PMM stuff
If you get it I’d definitely get a Bungie holder thing though
I think i've finally found the right (wired) mouse for me: the Glorious O 2.
someone drop me the best controller/controllers i could buy rn
Probably scuf controllers
Yeah seems great, just needed some feedback. I test many mice at times (some ATK i purchased recently), but i prefer them corded with a bungee, but having to change them each time became cumbersome, also some of them are more stiff and larger diameter than others, so even though the use of bungee, some drag happens, especially the lighter the mouse.
Now this product would completely eliminate those problems, given that it can support 8k Hz polling on anything.
check out of they're still doing the free game stuff on intel website
atk influencer, disregard his opinion
8khz polling mouse bungee?
Really can't escaped being sold to

A bit ass for me. Too dark.
I know everyone is gonna say Wooting But has anyone ever had a apex pro tkl gen 3 ive had one its pretty good one of my favorite keyboards it recently broke and i wanted to buy another keyboard so i was thinking about buying the apex pro tkl gen 3 again but idk i looked into the wooting it seemed pretty good has anyone had both of them and which one is better in ur opinion and be really honest
Using punctuation would make the whole thing readable.
Wooting, cause at least that one you don't have to replace the whole keyboard
I dont have the other keyboard though
Theres also a certain value being given where you can fully customize your board, then if you end up having issues you dont need to replace the entire board, you can just swap out the PCB depending on your issue
mb i just wanted to write something quick
lowkey just get whichever you like better. and take a look at wootility
it may or may not have the features you want in a keyboard
especially if you like using macros
Okay first proper gaming session on 540hz oled. It’s pretty ridiculous coming from 200hz
The clarity you get to micro adjust after you flick is crazy. It’s like that blurry segment when you move crosshair fast doesn’t exist
what game did you play
dusted off some comp valorant
it honestly feels really weird initially. Like it's too clear when you move and it feels like it's too clear 'too soon' after you flick
You sound like your reading from a script😭
Bro shills atk more than I shill wlmouse
🤖
mine jump from 60hz to 280 also feels incredible
That was a response to Lumen about a cable, you and your friends need to touch grass and stop reading into things.
Telling this fella to touch grass is like telling water to get wet
Lmaooo
Look you discredited yourself with your atk sponsor crap and your affiliate code
So obviously that leads to people being more critical of what you post
Don't blame us for your own actions :P
Sounds like this unc missed some drama!
You did

The surface of my mind is unperturbed and rippleless 🧘

jus because he answers me ill buy one
I have a friend that is going to upgrade from a non-gaming laptop to a full blown gaming rig (good desktop PC + good monitor + good keyboard + good mouse). She is willing to pay a little bit and I recommended the Wooting 80HE to her which she might buy (I'm not a shill). What do you think is a good mouse to recommend to her? I don't really know anything about mice. She does not play FPS games so I doubt she cares about 30 gram fingertip mice. She probably just wants something good and ideally not very uncomfortable. Any ideas?
razer vp3, logitech, wlmouse, pulsar( ask her to go to best buy and test the mouse there also)
Mice are pretty subjective what is comfortable for one person may not be comfortable for others
I know. That's part of the problem. I have never seen a store that have a bunch of mice one can test
best buy and micro centere
At most there are 6 or 7 of them
have some gaming mouse in the section test
A lot of regular places will have Razer at least and microcenter has pulsar
Could also look into vaxee or EGG
logitech g pro is a good mice
I think you can get better options for less money than a g pro
op1 wireless
Are they good all-rounders? What she ultimately just wants is a well-built non-experimental mouse that feels high quality and normal to use
zowie also got mouse , cheap mouse pulsar is tha goat
I'd say they are both pretty up there in quality, vaxee especially feels real nice build quality wise
And they don't do super light mice, because they want their mice to not loose that quality
My OG razer naga from 2008 or something is dying, what mouse should I buy next? I don't play MMOs but I'm really used to the side buttons so I want a mouse with those. Should I take the naga V2 pro or something else?
I’d say razor viper v3 is hard to go wrong with
But I’m not some mouse maxxer
Yeah but it doesn't have the buttons
Not many mmo style mice on the market aside from Razer
Me neither. I know very little about them
Oh I missed the need for lots of buttons
or theres this mouse
@quasi field ask her hand size, best to choose one based on that for comfort, shape can be roughly made out from either earlier experience or other users feedback if it would be good.
i recommend viper v3 too for solaria
That's the other guy. Not I
i do have this, a true relic now
So should I go with the naga V2 pro if I want the buttons or is there anything better?
The Naga buttons always looked hard to press to me
It looks uncomfortable to use a mouse like that for MMOs
It is very uncomfortable sadly
Alright I will
For MMOs I instead rebind keys like Q E R F Z X C V for extra abilities
Same, i used a normal mouse for MMOs always and just keyboard bind
only two side buttons used on mouse
If comfort is more of a desire the razer basilisk is very cozy with a nice sensor still. Just bigger and heavier as a trade off
One of the best scroll wheels ever
Maybe have a look at Aerox 9, if many buttons are required, i think that would be more comfortable than the X15
I might buy the Razer vertical
I forgot they made that. I already have the Logitech MX Vertical which is very comfy. The Razer is hopefully at the same comfort level but much better specs
Surprisingly it is even heavier than the Logitech
How heavy?
It's 150 g
ouch
The MX Vertical is in the 120s
Actually that doesn't look comfortable
The Vertical shape looks much more comfortable
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBRAOsRuCNs maybe there's something here worth considering; me personally, I'm waiting for $10 mouses
I've been testing some more affordable wireless gaming mice recently and came to realize that these are just as good as those "premium" gaming mice.

an amazon banger
Either the updated razer naga or Logicool (Logitech’s Japanese company) g600. Razer is easier to find. The g600 you have to get on eBay if you’re not in Japan.
I have it here, it's not bad, but I just couldn't be bothered to really get used to it, so I only use it to control a second PC sometimes
I caved and got the Protocol Max, very impressive ngl.
Naisu, enjoy your dac!
Omg clean your mousepad. It's been snowing on it
they are very impresive, I'm hearing details that I wouldn't have otherwise heard out of my shitty laptop jack LMAO
thats what happens when you dont use a lint free cloth to wipe your mousepad LMAO
there is a good reason why you should use a microfiber cloth to wipe down mousepads LMAO
For me, gonna get qx13 in 2 month. Got something else I want to spend my money on more
it's honestly almost indistinguishable from my much more expensive desktop DAC that I use in my setup, it's super impressive!
nice nice!
I wonder if I can use the Protocol Max to torture some really shitty earphones
with Fetty Wap at max volume LMAO
Ehh, maybe?
it probably wont burn them out, but it will make them bottom out LMAO
h5 flow 2024? same case i have
oh yea nzxt released the newer performance fans they look pretty hot u should check em out
Been wanting this ngl
Got the Moondrop Dawn Pro 2
nice nice
I got the protocol max because of the built-in 10 band EQ
and ofc the high power output.
Yeah dawn pro 2 does the same thing as protocol but just performs a bit worse on the eq thing
And like a lil bit less power input
Same dac chip tho
yeah
But I do want that 10 band eq tho ngl
And I was planning to buy the dawn pro 2 first
Test it out
Give it to my nephew for Christmas
Then buy myself the protocol
But I guess I gotta change some plans
oop, lol
What headphones do y’all recommend for competitive gaming
the ones that don't make you suffer with uncomfortable pain
Sennheiser HD560S
Hey guys, I was thinking of changing my mouse, honestly what do you think of the Leviathan V4?
Because we all agree that Wooting isn't planning on making mice for the time being, it's not planned?
Knowing that I forgot to mention it, but I currently have the Razer Mamba Elite wired version as my mouse.
If you like the shape
I like the Viper V3 Pro
Well, I currently like the shape of my mouse, a Razer Mamba Elite, and honestly the Leviathan V4 doesn't look that different shape-wise.
They're very different though
I'd go to the store and check out what they have on display, cause even the smallest difference in size can change how it feels imo
Ah yeah, after that I confess, I don’t really have any experience because in itself it’s going to be my second real mouse.
We’ll say what I want is that I don’t want a mouse from a big brand like Ryzer or Logitech because I’m fed up with their software that’s heavy as hell and all. Moreover, I’m fed up with paying for the brand without necessarily a sign of quality at times.
Yo guys planning on going for the smsl su-1 any thoughts or things to be aware of
Also its only the dac and nothing else im using the sennheiser momentum 4s with it anything else yall recommend getting with it for better quality?
I bought an X1 V2 that i really liked, it's viper shape, have a look maybe.
You need an amplifier to connect it to otherwise there won't be any audio
Wait fr?
Yes. There's no output for headphones on it
I was just thinking of getting a rca to audiojack converter ngl
So your saying there wont be any audio if there is no amp correct? Im new to trying this stuff out so im sorry if its stupid questions
Yes. The SU-1 cannot amplify to proper levels
Any good recommendations of a good amp?
Aren't the Momentum headphones wireless? Why get a discrete amplifier/dac?
True they are wireless but since i normally use it for gaming and i love music i thought a dac can make the audio richer
not in the case of wireless headphones
wireless headphones already have a DAC and AMP built-in
Since it also has a 2.5mm audio jack
It bypasses the inbuilt dac and amp i presume
no, not in the case of the sennheiser momentum 4
although only when they are turned off they will bypass iirc
when you turn them on they wont bypass
they are weird
I guess your right but if im buying a dac i probably will use them off
And bluetooth for when i feel like i dont want a cable

if that is the case, then it will be unlikely you will need an external dac/amp, these headphones have very very low impedance when bypassed
Amp im guessing you mean
But why do this
Higher audio quality and lesser in game latency
I doubt it would be noticeably higher
Also cause my motherboard jacks are noisy as hell for some reason
Why would they ship wireless headphones with audibly imperfect electronics
The audio on bluetooth is great dont get me wrong
Its just i want to try a dac really
Oh you're talking about that? That's such a minor difference even if you were able to distinguish lossy and lossless
cause that costs money
it is very likely you will not be able to hear a difference, esp if you are listening to lossy tracks like on spotify (it does have 'lossless' but windows does weird things to the signal but that is a different story)
I see
So does windows not have like a passthrough option?
Or is it always gonna be lossy
I doubt the amp/dac in it doesn't have an audibly flat frequency response or with audibly high distortion
there are special DAC protocols that bypass the windows audio routing entirely but you need software and hardware that supports the protocol for it to work.
Hmmm i see
The su-1 is a desktop dac so im guessing it should have something like that but ill check that out just to be safe
But about the amp is it useful for the momentum 4s? Since in passive its only got 60ohms impedance
if you want bit-perfect truly lossless audio output you want a DAC and playback software that supports either ASIO or WASAPI, more specifically ones those can use that in exclusive mode.
Ill have to check those out
Theres so much ive not explored yet its insane
Oh yea btw what you said is true but the thing is my pc supports onlt a2dp bluetooth format (idk if its changeable or not) and cuz of that its capped at 16bit (44khz i think)
My headphones do support uptill 24bit 96khz tho
44kHz at 16bit resolution is perfectly sufficient for most multimedia consumption
I agree but there is a significant difference from 16 to 24 atleast i felt that in music
There's not. That's placebo
The difference is dynamic range (noise floor)
Maybe but i mean if it feels right then it must be right yea?
Not at all
Aight but either way i do want to use it wired since there is latency in gaming in bluetooth noticeable for me
No, in some cases it might actually make it worse because windows then has to resample the source to the output resolution and sample rate
If the source doesn't match the output
And that introduces stuff like artifacts and some loss in detail because of resampling
Output as in your talking 24bit to 16bit since the a2dp drivers right?
So if you're outputting like 192kHz at 24 bits but the source is 44.1kHz at 16 bits then windows has to resample that source so it can be played back at 192kHz at 24 bits
Which introduces loss in detail
I had used lucent's free trial of their audio drivers in that it was working
Driver doesn't matter when windows is handling the audio routing
Your headphones may support 24 bit but they don't output it
Max we have right now is 21-bit in very precise medical instruments and ~19-bit in usual audio stuff
I see
Audio dacs can do over 20 bit
But of course it doesn't matter at all
I mean, you can get DAC chips that output 24-bit/192kHz but they consume a ton of power
Deffo not suitable in wireless headphones
I don't know a single one that can reach 24 bit
I mean there's physically no consumer chip yet which can do more that 21-bit on voltage that's about line voltage
2^21 is 2097152 different states, it's impressive in itself
@bronze salmon I recommend doing ABX tests using the Foobar2k plugin just to see how you cannot distinguish 16 bit to 24 bit and very high sample rates. It's humbling and an important step to prevent yourself from wasting time/resources on things that make no audible difference
16/44.1 is enough
Absolutely. Unless your dac has an impressibly terrible reconstruction filter which in most cases it does not
I agree
Cauz 90% of content out there is 16 bit at 44.1kHz
Saves windows audio routing the headache of having to resample all the time too!
There's not really music above 20 kHz anyway even if you can hear that high
It would just be noise
I see
How would it work if my windows format is set at 16bit 44khz tho
It wont go higher cause of the a2dp bluetooth driver
Then it won't
I had used a third party audio driver that had 24bit 44khz audio format but it was only a 7 days free period during that time i did find a small yet noticeable difference in audio quality
So one way to get around that is a dac atleast im guessing or a dongle that they provide but i think dac would be good cuz i can use it for other speakers in the future if i think of buying (also ill buy a amp in future if needed)
Almost certainly placebo or something else making the sound different
It's very easy to think all kinds of things makes sound different, but when blind testing it usually goes away
Maybe the corp had added a eq in it?
Corp?
Idk just random conclusions since brain is shutting off its 12:30 am for me
The audible difference you'd hear with higher bitrate would be a lower noise floor
You have to play ungodly loud to reach the noisefloor of 16 bit
Interestin
Would it be better to get a dac when i get better wired headphones then?
Yep
That makes sense yea
Any recommendations
Primarily for music listening
Secondary for gaming
FiiO
Pick whichever you like how it looks and in preferred price bracket
Sennheiser HD560S + EQ
I was just about to say the 560 lmaooo
Oh, headphones not DAC
I'm debating on picking up a set of the 660s2's rn, need to wait for next paycheck haha
Im suprised on the price difference
They are relatively cheaper than i expected i wonder why bluetooth is more expensive
Wireless means more technology. But also pricing can be very random
Nothing about $2000 Hifiman headphones justify their price. They price them high to give a sense of upgrade of quality
Wireless means black magic
You can't transmit electrons via air, air is an insulator
That's why I don't trust Bluetooth
I make sure to insulate all of my hats with aluminum foil
I see
I don't trust Big Tin
Wireless is really great technology. Most headphone innovation these days is in wireless ANC headphones
Genuinely ANC was the first reason i bought the momentum 4s
Supposedly everyone loves talking to eachother in screams
ANC is extremely nice. Especially nowadays
Can agree
Wish my headset had ANC
Blocking outside noise can be one of the biggest increases to sound quality
Some headphones do ANC bad tho like sometimes feel like it muddies
That's just the headset having bad tuning
Like i remember my sister had some jbl headphones they didnt do anc justice but again anc was new that time so meh
Exactly
I remember my first ANC headset had very audible ANC (sounds like a very high noisefloor). But they have gotten much better at it
Nowadays I prefer ANC in almost every situation unless your room is very quiet anyway
I guess since it was new it was not the best
But the anc now is so good
Like im sitting with my friends on dc and they screaming about my background and im just chilling like what sound?
I watched an Airpods Max review by an «audiophile» (
) a long time ago and I believe he said that it's inherently not an audiophile headset (or hi-fi?) because it's ANC which is a really dumb thing to say. ANC is great for sound quality in many situations that will be worse without it
I turn off noise supression just to annoy em
ANC can be turned off tho what was he on about?

One thing about anc tho is your ears start hurting after long uses (over 4hours for me)
I'm not aware of such a thing for the Airpods Max aside from turning on transparency mode but that would be silly to use indoors
ANC headsets sound terrible in passive mode since they rely on EQ and therefore rely on being turned on
Look at blue here for example
(idk how to turn ANC off on it)
Not sure of the airpods max myself too but on sennheiser's you can turn it off
Ouch
But I assume they are still running wireless when ANC is off? So still powered on
Yup
any headphone recommendations that isn't hd560s ?
Hd660s
Im not the best person to ask for this stuff tbf
don't you own a wireless mouse ?

I have wired DAv3
ima just buy steelseries headphones because of the dual band and the comfort and upset everyone here
Is your choice in the end
I miss my razer viper ultimate so much
Razer viper mouses are just so flingable ya know
They are just genuinely great, found everywhere, comfortable and reasonably priced
Idk reminds me of holding a shawarma for some reason which doesn't make sense
they're not bad for the value but comfort wise after wearing it for months its not for me
and IEMs aren't an option
Any head dents?
What do you dislike? The clamp?
Not yet but do you want one
yeah the clamp
You can loosen the clamp
Already have one thats why im autistic
HD 490 or 600
Jk headphones too weak for my massive forehead
how swae
thats it
I'll just buy loud speakers and have open mic
make everyone suffer in multiplayer games
Loudspeakers are godlike but there is so much you need to do to get them as good or better than good headphones
Oh are you concerned about sound leaking?
Swae?
Yeah, plus for competitive gaming I still kinda prefer headphones
On the Senns?
No I want my teammates to suffer
yeah soria said it could been done
Never done it myself but I think what people do is find an object slightly wider than your head (box, books etc.) that you place them on overnight and they loosen
Eh I've tried by putting them around a basketball or a big set of books, but every attempt has been temporary.
The 490 and 600 (and 800) were never particularly tight for me though - unlike the HD25-2 and HD6XX which I do find uncomfortably tight.
bruh
800 was too loose for me. Felt bad on my head
I been wearing the headphones for months
so the break in time should be done
but still have issues with the headphones
Yeah I agree they have the opposite issue, being a bit too loose
Senns are tight in the start but after a while of using they feel normal
They do also get better as pads break in since
Or my brain is turning in
gotta watch out for that dent
Either works
That's why I said wider than your head

I actually do need some good speakers to go with my pc
Btw are they any audiojack cables that are like vibration resistant or something
Vibration? How hard will it vibrate lol
Since i guess most of the noise im hearing could just be the fans in my pc
I got 10 fans in it
Yeah
I'm changing my build out for something ultra noise optimised since I use speakers
jakuDent
I want the PC to be completely inaudible at my listening position even when playing games
Fan speed controller?
Yes of course they will all run slowly
Man why didn't i think of it before
That makes such alotta sense why it was so noisy
Pc under the desk?
By the way guys, I saw you were talking about headsets. Me, I’d like to change my headset. So I currently have the Sennheiser PCX 38 and I’d like to replace it with the Sennheiser HDB 630 for my computer and, at the same time, let’s say, be able to have a wireless headset when I go to the gym or something. Knowing that when I use it on my computer, I plan to use type C to avoid latency, etc. What do you think? Knowing that I know that it’s not the same headset profile as, for example, the PCX 38 is more of a headset made for FPS due to its open design and better sound precision for footsteps. But I want a headset a bit more general and which will be mainly based for listening to music. So, I’d like your opinion on this, what will you think of it?
you hate the pcx38 ? Heard they're very good
No, I never said I hated it. It’s just that I wanted to move on. Otherwise, I find this headset really incredible. It’s currently the best headset I’ve ever had in my life.
The biggest problem they have is high distortion imo
What headphones are you talking about?
PCX38
Though you'll only hear the distortion if you EQ the bass up and play loudly
Personally, I didn’t modify the EQ, I kept it original. That being said, it’s true that I already tried once to modify it a little bit but I didn’t really like the final rendering because we ended up having, like you tell me, distortions. So I really prefer, honestly, the original. But it’s true that even keeping it original, when sometimes I play, for example, a car game or whatever, and sometimes the engine gets too much in the bass or whatever, sometimes it tends to a little bit smother the mids and highs. Which means sometimes I don’t hear my music while I’m playing car games. Okay, after that it’s maybe a bit of a specific case, but in any case, for example, for Assetto Corsa Competition, depending on which cars we play, it can really smother certain frequencies or certain things. I’m thinking particularly with the LEXUS GT3 car, the RC F in particular, for those who play car games, you’ll see.
Or the DAC will start clipping because it's just that loud lmao.
If you EQ too aggressively your pre-amplification will be so low that you'll barely hear anything lol
And it's not like you can just increase the pre-amp either because you'll start clipping your DAC.
Power issues
Has anyone tried the fosi dac/amps? Looks super nice with the all aluminum
Literally LMAO
This image has affected me more than any other this week.
ROFL
if i could I would have bought the pcx38 over hd560s but it was hard to buy in my area and didn't feel like paying usa tariffs for it
Personally, it’s a person who had recommended it to me on reddit and I had bought them on amazon so they were still available but I had a problem with the wheel on the side of the headset and so amazon couldn’t replace it for me so actually they offered me a refund and then so for the same price I bought it again on the direct site of the manufacturer but it’s true that now on amazon and everything it’s more complicated to have them or to find them anyway new or whatever. But that now, I think, if I’m not talking bullshit, it’s discontinued.
5090 9800x3d 64gb ddr5 5tb or 4090 7800x3d 128gb ddr5? Getting the ram second hand and if go for 5090 gpu as well
👈
how is 128gb ram even a consideration? like what do you do that would need the ram
bort nite battle pass
whats the psu ?
300w so the pc uses less energy

energy companies hate this one trick
should get one of those 150w from a dell prebuilt
Save some money for the rest of the components
im sure you can just download more ram
Need it for all the Aiaiaiaiai
Set your cpu speed to 10 ghz but the voltage to 0, it makes it go super fast but there no electricity to get converted to heat
why 128gb of RAM? I mean I have 128GB of RAM but I actually use it for what I do.
And most people don't need it
I agree, LMAO
hence my confusion
64gb i kinda got before the price jump since the price wasnt too far off 32gb
but 128gb is just throwing money out if you dont need it
Yeah
yeah, also doesnt help that most 128gb kits are 4 channel and reduces your memory speed on most AM5 cpus like 9800X3D
now my 128gb kit is 2 channel but it was more expensive than the 4 channel kits.
bortnite
Fortnite can't even max out 16 gigs my boy
editing my 32k fortnite clips
I know
You'd run out of video memory before you can even reach 4k LMAO
ai upscaling my clips to 32k
usually the same type of people wanting that type of build
Well, except me, because I actually need 128gb of memory
I've maxed it out a few times
" I need the 5090 cuz my favorite bork knife streamer has that build"
90% of people don't need a 5090
very true
If you play games I would really only consider it if you have like a 4k 240Hz OLED or something
32 5090s as well
I hope you realize that the Vegas sphere is like 16k and needs 150 A6000 GPUs to run.
So if you want 32K you need like 1000 5090s to run such a resolution at a decent frame rate
yeah but thats prob cause they have 2billion screens
ltt already did 16k with less
Can you really game at 16K? Will this setup crash and burn, or be the most amazing gaming experience ever?

150W should be good enough
Yes save some moneyyss
Yeah 150 bronze will be perfect
If saving money is the goal, eat less.
Can confirm works from experience.
Or hunt, fish, and homestead farm.
the 2 mice i have currently in rotation
less like a potato XD
Part List - AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Corsair iCUE 7000X RGB ATX Full Tower
i know what im spending my 401k on
ts is crazy
48gb of ram is 680$ 💀
also thats a fuckton of storage

Rtings 3d scan is more handy for really getting the shape https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tools/3d-model-shape-compare/3d/razer-viper-v3-pro-vs.-logitech-g-pro-x-superlight-2

The potato still has the best battery life, anyone dethrone it in that reguard yet?
eloshapes is good for general size but shape it has baited so many people
its fiiiineeee
yeah those profile have so many blind spots lol
great for my 30hz 720p monitors!
the superlights side buttons are so disgustingly mushy
they are, but just usable enough for me
Part List - RAIJINTEK Enyo ATX Full Tower
i learned that my last pc could have been overpriced
so i made an even more affordable one
wait
i need to update it
better ssds were released
dw soon it will cost even more!
I haven't had the need to upgrade for a while now
what does bro need all this storage for
5800X3D still going strong
a single GPU costs more than that!
would need a HEDT motherboard with several bifurcation adapter cards
Part List - RAIJINTEK Enyo ATX Full Tower
this can hold 21 nvme

i've used more powerful and more expensive systems, it depends!
13.39 per gb of ram
nevermind it lines up with $680 for 48gbs 💀
can I haggle 2 cents per gig
@runic tiger whats your current?
mouse
razer viper v3 pro
i see i see
you have medium to large hands then right?
idk
likely
although this kind of reminds me of the Nvidia DGX system which is an all-in-one drop-in desktop replacement which has a GB300 Blackwell Ultra GPU with a Grace CPU, it even runs it's own custom OS called DGX OS.
seems in that ballpark yeah, viper is for that range
and Dell shoved the entire system into an Alienware Area-51 case with some generic dell branding lmao
@wet coral picking up vv3p

You will trust
@wet coral plays games for fun that’s why they don’t use their VV3P anymore
If you like winning you’ll enjoy it
im using my vv3p rn in val
what are you yapping about
Imagine they release the viper mini signature editions 2 and it’s only like a run of 100

razer copies finalmeme

just get the Huan, it's a viper with a dongle you can talk to in mandarin ni hao ma 🤭
say cao ni ma to it

has anyone had experience with yuki aim glasspads?
In one of the audio store in Kuala Lumpur
Noh, i already have hd490 pro that can turn into fake 800s with a simple reduction in bass
The snow sky wind my friend requested me to buy for him
Same unit i demo, and it sounds pretty nice. Just gotta update the firmware when back at home.
1.8W on 4.4
Makes alba sounds less shouty/distorted at the high, makes Divine sounds less metallic, and generally improves hd490 without changing anything.
Mucho expensivo
O fuck, i thought 900mw on balanced
Like 450+450. Ehh, doesn't matter.
Still, endgame dac.
I tried the ka17, on some song with hd490 it's kinda off to me.
Haven't tried the ka15 and lower
Yo
So was definitely not a good idea to be chatting here yesterday and answering an exam today
But besides that
Meh i forgot what i was gonna say
How did exam go?

Managed to copy the entire question paper
What class?
is it worth it to upgrade my razer deathadder v3 to viper v3 pro and will i even notice it on a 60 hz monitor
Probably not
put that money towards a monitor that isn't 60Hz
My Framework 16 is shipping soon!
12th
Naisu
ty
i am a bit anxious though, it's the first laptop i ever bought
Lmao. You'll be alright, though 16 seems a bit large
i wanted something that could run single core CPU-bound games well, 3D games decently, and still followed the philosophy of PC DIY modularity/R2R/Control
i had to buy it sooner because of the RAM prices, managed to secure a unit before laptop RAM prices started to increase
Framework is one of the best options
Epyc, what config?
Depends on who you ask but for the right person it's great!
I personally did not like framework 16
At least there's some innovation in the laptop industry
high price of entry. more affordable upgrades. generally underperforming. that the framework 16 for me
Portability is the point of a laptop, so I don't understand why 18in laptops even exists lmao
ngl I think Apple is leading the way of Laptop innovation
super powerful but efficient silicon, excellent battery life, exceptional build qualtiy. and an OS that doesnt shove AI into your face.
I guess $800 for a ram upgrade doesn't look all that bad now...
A "desktop replacement" is often big and powerful and not intended to be easily portable, but still more so than an actual desktop setup.
I've never had a need for one myself but it sorta makes sense
Itx just wins tho
@white shoal your review of your framework?
even then the upgrade prices are pretty expensive
like 800 dollars for a laptop 5070 is insane
it's not even one that can reash it's full power either
laptop 5070 can go up to 115W
Honestly wish I had gotten a thinkpad
"Why do big laptops exist" is a funny remark lol, i don't need to pull it out on a whim, I need to transport it long distances and have minimal setup. That's what it's for
I feel like price wise it makes more sense
I like the framework from a oh it's repairable thing but price/value wise it's a tough sell
Thinkpads are pretty repairable!
thing is you dont need thick laptops to get good performance anymore, like the 2024/2025 ROG Zephyrus G16/G14
THat too
Framework tries to make "repairable" laptops look sleek like a macbook but it turns out I personally want my laptop to be as opposite to a macbook as possible!
How is that a counter to what I said :p
I mean realistically
Are you ever gonna swap out the modules?
Or anything really?
Like its all hypotheticals
Who knows what things will be like lets say 5 years from now
like, powerful thin and light laptops exist, the 3 inch thick gaming laptops are barely any better than the thinner ones. so why get the chonkers anymore.
Tmw my only laptop is an old gtx 970m laptop with a damaged hinge what i repaired with a random screw and a piece of tape
xD
I just use my desktop for everything
My 2011 thinkpad I found in a dumpster got me thru uni and still works good
It did get me through college/uni
Exactly for laptop things
Like
Why would you need more
I unfortunately need a decently powerful laptop for uni. 😭
Big solidworks assemblies need competent hardware to be able to work with them.
I mean hey my laptop was a killer laptop back in the day for uni i7 5700HQ 16gb of ram and a 970m
Xd
lo, dont even get me started with the simulations
Ansys Fluent will not run on my laptop
ROFL
it will eat the 32gb of RAM before you even run any analysis
so anytime I want to do any static analysis I always use my desktop for that.
Ohno, ec2 memory prices will rise as well
Ryzen AI 7 350 + Radeon RX 7700S + 2x16GB DDR5-5600
Oof, for that price you can get an hp g1a
Niceeee
ty
I wonder how the 7700s compare to the 8060s
OK 8060s is much better. And thats even a igpu
Hmm, i kinda wanna bet that next year there's going to be a lot of IEM with the same treble tuning as Dunu Brain dance, and Hype 4 mk2.
Like, JM1 kinda done to death and the only other thing I rarely see of is the high but straight treble with no massive and wide dip.
any mice recommendations? looking at the gpx2 but heard some people have issues with it spinning
if you want something thats the same size, razer viper v3 pro, wlmouse beastx, pulsar x2 crazylight medium
logitech mice in the big 25 is 💀
not really for the price theyre selling it for
there ya go, that's settled
we can say the same for viper now can’t we🥀
this ain't tuff
is this from your personal collection ?
i wouldnt buy either at full price, even if both were discounted to the same price id pick the razer
i hate how ghub works and at least synapse is functional
yes, it's a collectors item and locked away for good
hell yeah
wows im the complete oppsite lmfaooo
i fucking hate razxer synapse
and from my personally experince synapse is barely functional compared to ghub
Fugaku iem
for 17k I better hear the voices from the angels
all the way up from heaven
give me a reason why i cant change on board profiles on my mouse while having on board memory mode on
??? thats just a you issue brother
ion got a problem with that
ill have to disable that, change the desktop profile and then reload that
tell me why my settings never save on synaspes....
tell me why my frames is always shit when synaspes in on the background...
it does for me
dont need to have it on in the background
its for sure a me issue when its across 4 different logitech mice on 5 different computers...
wow u must be balling to have 5 different computers
just get 5 more mouses and 5 more computers

old pc, my laptop, brothers laptop, my pc, my brothers pc
1 g502, 3 superlights
unlucky you then
i got 2 superlights and they are perfectly fine
i ordered the v2 pro back then twice and both times one of the m1 or m2 buttons were muddy
we all got our issues

you got your bad experince with logi, i got mines with razer
all side buttons on gpx are mushy
mushy compared to the other mice i have
besides the scroll wheel being absoute garbage tier with no dust proofing, its one of the things i hate the most on the gpx
😂 thats funny cause i really hate how razer scroll wheel is designed /feel
at least itd still be useable
gpx becomes ewaste as soon as a spec of dust gets into it if you dont have soldering stuff
chat is this real?
ive been using my mouse for 3 years and it works fine
are you geeked 😭
i guess my room just hella clean, not saying its not
ive also had mine for 3 years and got 2 warranty replacements because of that common issue
wow! also a problem i never had
one of the replacements has a creaking shell

sure, you might not get it but its still a very common problem with gpx's
my friend also got this with his but its out of warranty now
wow! a problem i havent gotten with my old and new gpx, i must be really lucky
i should buy the powerball
id probably win it
yeah you should
You should demo fiio qx13 someday. Like holy shit it's soo nice
amp dac.... with a screen..
ah yes
Yesh. I mean, it's one way to switch between eq while knowing which is which
i dont eq
Try it~ it's one way to know what's your sound preferences
That makes buying your end game easirr
i already like the astrals out of the box and i dont plan to spend more than $300 on a pair of earbuds

You'll never know
Actually, end game doesn't have to cost $500+. If anything, end game could be just $200
welllllllllllllllllllllllllllll astrals are out of return window so im stuck with them
i could resell them but i imagine im not gaining any meaningful value back
as i already bought them on sale
It's alright.
you planning to get the WLMOUSE haun? or whatever its called?
why would i
small mouse weighs almost as much as the vv3p, off by 3g
dunno, just asking
it looks to be too similar of a shape of a mouse i already have
and a lot cheaper too
are you comparing it to the hitscan?
if you are... its only a $15 ish difference... I wouldn't consider that " a lot" cheaper
but thats just me
huh?
hitscan is sub $100 and the huan is $155
thats a pretty big difference if you ask me
wtf am i looking at
mb thats on me, i was looking at the crazylight 😂
i personally wouldnt call a $40 difference "alot" either
maybe cheaper but not drastically
when youre spending 40 more per mice it adds up
just buying 2, thats $80
3, its $120
etc
welp cant really apply that since all mouse gonna be different price anyway
sure, most mice are priced around the 130-160 range

i meannn if you already bought like 5 logi mouses, wouldnt hurt to get another mouse thats "similar" to the one you already have to try right

mb 😔
across all the mice i have, theyre all different shapes
sure you can say that the vv3p and superlight are similar but the rear hump being lower is a game changer on the vv3p imo
ion rememeber saying they the similar
SEOUL, Korea (December 23, 2025) – LG Display, the world’s leading innovator of display technologies, announced today that it will debut the world’s first 27-inch 4K OLED panel for monitors featuring an RGB stripe structure and a 240Hz refresh rate at CES 2026, the world’s largest IT and consumer electronics exhibition. The RGB stripe st...
about time
oh that's cool
so probably another year or two until the 1440p 480/500hz rgb panel version
i have hope for next year
unless they do the "show at CES - give panel to other companies first - release own model at the end of the year" move again
after this what could u even need anymore
bit more refreshrate sure
but pc hardware limiting that kinda
i assume it'll take time to trickle over to the other resolutions and higher framerates, so it'd be like 240hz first then 360 then 480hz like what happened with the other oled options
TV panels that are 4K240 when? Need that high refresh rate OLED TV in time for HDMI 2.2 devices.
i mean this one already does 1080p 480hz
Yeah but no 1440p 240/360 yet, and normally they do it step by step where it goes up in steps for 1440 and 4k
I assume even if they launch 1440p 240 next year that it’ll take time to go up to 480hz again
i would expect the other usual ones to release soonish too
maybe 1440p high end might take longer
if they wanna reach higher refreshrate again
and not be too close to their recent 540hz one
If I didn't already have a 4k oled this would be what I'd look at (but of course always wait for reviews)
What better beast x max or viper v3 pro. Right now i use claw grip i just dont know what good
Both are good mice, I’d compare them on rtings and see which you think you’d like more
RTINGS.com
The WLmouse Beast X Max and the Razer Viper V3 Pro are high-performance, lightweight gaming mice with symmetrical shapes. The WLmouse has an unconventional magnesium alloy exoskeleton, while the Razer has a more traditional solid plastic body that's slightly heavier. The two mice deliver similarly superb performance.
The TL;DR is they’re both similar shapes, each with their own intrinsic differences, I’d pick whichever you’re more comfortable with, isn’t a wrong pick between them.
Mr beast mouse by Mr beast
This is the only wrong option
you just mad unc Mr beast giving away 500,000 Mr beast mice to every bort nite gamer who likes and subscribe to his most recent video
AI has gone too far
wtf is this
😭😭😭😭
it's real
you right mb I'll stop with the brain rot
I’m mad I gotta see that dog shit prime drink in every gas station
I will never drink that nasty ass shit
too many sheep run to buy that battery acid of a drink
Mr beast Jr
It’s actually everywhere
I know im glad the drink has bright colored bottles. Its like a construction road signs letting me know to avoid those people like the plague
Poisonous frog edition
just back home, setup upgraded
oh yeah, since my dac cost more than both of my IEM (Meze alba and 7hz Divine), I think I gotta get an IEM that cost at least 2x as the dac.
I mean, I already planned to, just got distracted with my other interest.
Time to order a custom iem
aint no way I can get custom with just $450
Fuck, this dac is soo goooood. I thought I'm done with audio, but apparently not.
So, I uhhh, I got the blue 2
No bro, the GOAT of all DAC and amp combos for most desk setups is the JDS Labs Element IV
Maybe when I got Meze Empyrean 2, then I consider.
I have the old ass K240 that are 600 ohms and are a bitch to drive, but the element is able to do it!
mfw that costs the same as the price i paid for my astrals
I mean, it's not as much as I how I paid for the figurine just above
Although I did get them off FB marketplace for 50 bucks! So it was worth it!
cute
The guy thought they didn't work because you can't hear anything out of them when you plug them into a normal audio jack, but they just need a shit ton of power
do you know if its real carbon fiber
I got the titanium gold ver
I don't want CF
also the dac apparently could support ASIO due to it using the same usb chip as JDS Element IV.
Niceee
My 8 year old cousin just said 6 7. Christmas is over
Write them out of your headphone will
heard a few kids saying those numbers on the subway when i was visiting the capital
Got it to work!
Now my PC is more rhythm gaming ready.
This looks like one of those Mr. Beast giveaway Discord scams
Wrong
It’s the Schiit stack
that does not fit on a desk
that requires a whole ass rack
isnt that system like 3 enormous units that you must buy all at once?
They have a baby sized one
which one? they have multiple single standalone units
iirc they have like 8 different headphone amps alone
my dacamp is too big 💢
There’s a third one as well you can add
But you can just use software so I didn’t get it
Lokius is nice if you use something like a console that usually dont have built-in EQs

True. Compact, big ergonomic knob, transparent, 12-band PEQ, Fletcher-Munson curve equaliser, crossfeed
What I'd go for if I were in the wired game
It's real expensive. Only thing I dislike about it
$950
It's much better priced if you live in the best country in the world (USA)
Hmm it not having bal 4.4mm is a miss at this price
Not imo. The usefulness of that is very little. It wouldn't hurt of course but it is visually minimalist
No idea they did that
Looks like its just jack change and not really a balanced output
meh, not really, most of my headphones are already single ended, and the ones that can use a balanced cable benefit very minimally from having a balanced cable
There's no real benefit to be had from balanced unless you are actually on the brink of running out of power single-ended (in which case you should probably just buy a new device) or unless you have a ground loop/noise
It doesn't sound better or different
yeah, plus the output impedance is really really low on the Element IV
so its going to affect the sound profile of headphones and IEMs extremely minimally
Balanced stuff while not harmful or bad seems to be something people want for fud reasons at times. Like not having it means their headphones won't «reach their true potential» etc.
And it's easy to get this impression when you go to Headfi and see people say getting a balanced cable improved soundstage and warmth etc. lol
often times the output impedance of balanced outputs is higher than on single ended, albeit on most decent AMPs it's still going to be under one ohm so its probably going to be fine.
Yes it's usually not a problem. And people should definitely buy low output impedance amplifiers anyway to make sure it won't happen
lol yeah, even the Apple dongle is lower impedance than most motherboard jacks
i'm not an audio nerd nit
But
Got these
Theyre cute
@obtuse dove @quasi field now the local audio nerds can shit on me xd
My friend had these, and then he returned them a week later
Hopefully you like them
And bro got AirPods Pro 3 instead
those look massive
I'm liking them
is that a cd
They are
But airpods are like... way more expensive
I mostly just liked how cute they looked
They are, but they have superior ANC and Transparency modes
But i do like how they sound and they work well
And also superior battery life
I'll say tho im no audiophile
does that case fit in a pocket
I find earbuds to have great passive noise isolation. Though ANC on top would be even better
imagine having pockets
it would be better if you did because then i could get an answer to my question
It's not THAT big
No it's huge
3x the size of an AirPods Pro case in volume
They could have made it smaller, the lid is hollow for fucks sake
Oh definitively
but yeah sound wise i'm happy with em
They're comfortable with the small eartips
The gaming mode works well with my switch 2
