Any of the crin tuned iem around $50 (so the zero blue 2 and red 2 and salnote zero 2). Moondrop chu 2, tangzu waner 2. Avoid KZ.
Once you got the blue have a listen and try to find something that's lacking no matter how small. That usually help when trying to find favorite
Bet, thank you all
hmm, just realized most of the IEM I tried are single DD. I really want to switch it up after not liking the Supermix 4
So I might get multi driver IEM next instead of Kima 2. Like Dunu 242, Astral or Supermix 5
hmm, Divine has a really strong separation to the point it feels unnatural to me. Prop why it feels really off to me when listening to it by itself.
astrals
eerrermmm he doesnt like the tuning
I mean, astral tuning is fine~ Just that it's too similar to the Divine
So that makes it less of a choice for me. 242 and supermix 5 though are much more different.
Anyone here used the G502 X Plus? (wireless)
Wondering if it would be any decent for FPS games \
I only every has the old one but I think it’s fine
End of the day it’s personal preference
I do use the gpro superlight rn but I think it’s small
I palm grip so the 903 was the best fit for me
should i be getting a new mouse or do you think a second monitor would be a better upgrade?
Depend on what you looking for
If your mouse is still functional I think a monitor would be nice
Plus if it’s within warranty Logitech can just replace it for you
They can send you one
unfortunately not
Or you can just get a second hand one
Off Facebook
Most likely much cheaper and works just as good
Which mouse are you using right now
If it's something from Logitech they often have a separate daughter board in the mouse for all the main clicks
You can just buy a replacement board with the switches pre-soldered
You shouldn't buy earbuds just because they use multiple drivers. It won't inherently sound different. All the soundwaves are mixed together anyway when going through your ear canal. It does not have any kind of separation or whatever. The potential benefit of multiple drivers is in tuning the earbuds. All you should buy earbuds based on is the frequency response (aside from comfort, price etc.)
Earbuds are 100% minimum phase and so there are no secondary characteristics detatched from the FR like decay. Don't fall into the trap of buying shitty thousand dollar earbuds thinking they are somehow good than this even though the FR is bad
Not that I buy into the 20 driver stuff, but to some extent having different drivers makes sense, right? Otherwise why would we have woofers and tweeters, drums of various sizes, etc.
Woofers is because you simply need larger ones to produce low bass loudly without distortion
This is not a worry with earbuds
A speaker woofer cannot produce high frequencies and a tweeter cannot produce low frequencies but in earbuds or headphones a single driver can do 20 Hz to 20 kHz
Why is it any different in an IEM vs a speaker?
you could replicate the same effect with a regular speaker, but the result will be nowhere near as good as with headphone dynamic drivers
Is it just due to the drastically reduced amount of air that needs to be moved? I genuinely don't know.
its because how headphone dynamic drivers are driven, the high frequencies and low frequencies are superimposed into one really wacky waveform. then that signal drives the dynamic drivers and our brains interpret those pressure waves into distinct sounds
if you imagine it, its kind of like this.
I get that
My q is around separation of drivers vs mixing into one, and why it's more necessary in speakers vs say headphones/iems
mainly the distance away from the drivers from your ears
especially since for humans we are much less sensitive to lower frequencies than higher frequencies
thats why subwoofers tend to be really big and tweeters are really small
Don't worry, I'm still looking at FR graph primarily when getting those kind of IEM, it's just that I want the characteristics of it being multi driver cause I don't want to rotate between 3 single driver IEM.
I already shed my interest on Supermix 5 and Dunu 242 FR graph. The former based on 1 measurements having the treble that I want and fixes everything I hate about Supermix 4. The latter having soo little bass and soo little treble that it interests me.
just got my WLmoouse miao and it slaps lol
quality is pretty good too, the mouse is super solid
it's just that I want the characteristics of it being multi driver
Wdym?
I mean like, I don't want it to be just 1xDD/Planar etc, I want it to have 1dd+4ba+whatever as long as the graph interest me.
g502 hero
Hey I got a question what would be the best gaming mouse?
the one with the most buttons
personal preference
some people use fingertip grip so they use tiny low weight mice, others use claw grip or palm grip so they prefer larger mice
things like that
it’s all up to personal preference
okay i see ty for the help
np
holy
steal
no shit theyve got artisans discounted too
The Bruce Lee 85th anniversary lineup has me
this is actually fire
Yeah, glass
I can get a better mousepad for 15$ at staples
If we're gonna slap a png on something it may as well be a moumou
Yeah but is it glass
I can send you a bag of authentic moumou hair that you can use as skates for your mouse
for maximum control and speed
That is a fine substitute
Debating between 2 different cards right now
Get a 5070ti
5080 is just not good enough price eise
Also is this canadian $
Usd
I can't find anywhere cheaper haha
Also dont get a 5080
get a 5070 ti or buy a 5090
But if you're really set on a 5080
At least buy it at a normal price... @silver topaz
Paying 500-700usd more for a fucking cooler is cringe
Thats more money than sense talking
Also look at how much cheaper a 5070 ti is
And
The performance difference is like 15%...
It makes 0 sense to spend that much more for such little extra perf
And no extra veam
Vram
Yeahhhh
I concur with what Dashi suggested
rog astral is mad overpriced
tuf cards are acceptable
5080 fe is 999 what are those prices mate
Neither tbh, price is just fcked.
Astral atleast has the per pin detection for the connector (iirc), but you are paying double for the same performance.
Nah they're overpriced too
Gobbling up the asus marketting be like
Yeah I might just go for the 5090 for the extra vram
Just have to find one at MSRP😭
Will you grab me one while you’re at it? I’m good for it
@jolly pulsar put in some time using the pro 2 controller on steam and yup, still an absolute joy.
very hard
also yeah the extra VRAM is very nice, also the main reason why I got my 5090
😈 (even I don't think I'm that stupid... Who knows the consumer in me hungers)
the Astral is a nice card, but it is very big
Id probably vertical mount. This is the only picture I see it in my case, so who knows
finally arrived
my new headphones arrived today aswell
I might have to get new pads for my headphones for christmas 👴
im looking at getting an astral 5080 as well but im gonna be switching over to full water loop system, 9800x3d + 5080 gonna be perfect
5080 is just such a badly priced product
Nice atk sponsored product placement
Agree, same with 5090 but I got a 3080 atm so I can sell that and fund 5080/5090
But once I water cool it, it’s gonna be worth it
Just get a 5070ti
You're like so close perf wise
Should you just save money and buy the RTX 5070 Ti instead of the RTX 5080? In this video we answer that question by testing the latest games and technologies including DLSS 4, RT, Path Tracing and more!
Buy an RTX 5070 Ti: https://amzn.to/4khcjoU
Buy an RTX 5080: https://amzn.to/43aWV7F
Test system specs (ResizeBAR/SAM ON):
CPU: Ryzen 9800X3D ...
It’s an option, but if the supers for 5080 are true might be worth it as extra vram
Have you seen what's going on with the market atm?
Yeah i have seen what’s going on
Main thing is actually find a suitable wb for the astral cards, 80/90 are available but 70ti I got no idea about as I haven’t researched enough
Some games with high res textures can get you near your capacity
a high resolution plus high res textures can do that
I easily struggle with 10gb
I think I could pushing it in vr but would be difficult on a 1440p monitor I think
high res textures eat at your vram
also higher resolutions like 1440p or 4k require more vram
for 4k I would argue 24gb of vram is needed.
at least
I can play games at 4k native ultra texture on my 12 gb card without issues. There are probably only a few games in existence that could cause issues with it
If I had a 16 gb one then I assume 0 games would
at 4k I often have games eating upwards of 20gb of video memory with Ultra settings with DLAA enabled.
maybe the optimizations are slightly different with differing configurations
Is that just not the game reserving vram?
I doubt it, because usually the vram usage drops down in menus and whatnot.
usually back to like 10gb or so
if the game was really reserving vram it would be very consistent
What games are these?
BF6 and Arc Raiders surprisingly
although on Arc Raiders with Cinematic settings it uses even more vram
Indiana jones as well
@blissful gust did you find a case for your server/NAS?
Which pads you guys using lately?
Key 83 Soft
SP-004 Summer Miku
Curious about Skypad, I kinda prefer control, but I want try new ones with p1 v2
CR-005 seems very interesting, might eventually try
Hard to get this at Europe( Portugal )
Which you recommend for a balance one? Speed/control
I did not,
I'm gonna dabble in 3d printing
Which I forgot about so Ty XD
Do you happen to be in EU?
UK
Alr I'm on like 3 trackers so heres to hoping I get a 5090 lmaooo
Hey guys whats the best mouse out rn for valorant latency. I keep seeing maya x, viper v3 pro, deathadder v4 pro, and op 18k. what do you guys recommend whats better
You won't notice a difference in latency between all the mice you just listed
Maybe op1 8k if you're really really sensitive to latency, but at that point most of it is placebo.
I have the gpro superlight v1 and I heard the viper v3 pro has 2 ms diff
latency I think
Find the best shape for your preference on https://www.eloshapes.com/
What latency, because there's sensor and click
whats the difference between them
in your opinion whats better between maya x, viper v3 pro, deathadder v4 pro
not shape/size
This site is sadly only useful for dimensions, wish someone else have the money to make a site with actual 3d scans with the latest mice
The dimensions are all you need
If we're talking about purely performance, deathadder v4, AFAIK it has the latest mcu
That is not true unfortunately
are they releasing a viper v4 pro this spring?
They might
I mean you can find 3d printing profiles if you’re really that particular.
might wait on that
You can either use them to get a 3d view or even print them out to get a feel for the shape in hand
Personally I'd never buy a razer product unless they ditch synapse
It messes with your other peripherals sometimes too
Non razer peripherals
in what ways
Making the rgb not work etc
I ordered the wooting 80he today. I heard its the best keyboard out rn
👍
been on the royal kludge rk68 for 3 years and I didnt know how bad it is lmao until I saw the difference between this and wooting
In terms of mouse tech, razer often gets the latest
I love mine. Best is subjective for your needs but as far as all-arounders it’s top tier
just need it for valorant lmao
Logitech develop their own
It'll be nice for razer to refresh the viper next year but it might take a while since they're still releasing new colors for the v3
good luck, that is all I will say LMAO
I think rtings has 3d scans of a lot of mice
A lot, but missing the latest
It's too expensive to have 3d scans of most of the new releases
latency wise. anything that can do 8khz would be the fastest. but id be more concerned about the shape/weight of your mouse than the tech inside it
8khz does help but only by reducing position intervals in terms of tracking
still a technical improvement
I'd say 4k is plenty enough
8k is diminishing returns
Not saying you shouldn't use 8k tho use whatever you like
4k is .25ms interval and 8k is .125ms
That is assuming if you saturate the polling
for the resource usage i just stay at 1k. plus theres no need to worry about compatibility with certain games
and i can not tell the difference in game
Mouse companies should start focusing on other innovations now and not just latency numbers
It's getting stale
its what the market currently wants. there is innovation just not with big manufacturers
Clones are killing the innovation as well
Good for average consumers, bad for enthusiasts
i thought the clones that exist offer the same shape as more expensive mice but with better specs. isnt that an improvement over waiting for the big brands to improve their own mice?
Razer always gets the best Pixart sensor before everyone else so technically if you want the best specs it's not the clones
They hardly offer "better" specs. For the shapes, if companies see clones are doing so well they'll just stop innovating with shapes since why open a new mold if you can just reuse the original one forever
They are the first ones to use newer MCUs as well
fair enough
The reason clone companies can push the prices so low is because they don't spend money on r&d
There are off the shelf firmware and software solution ready for them as well
ok so i have a wl mouse but i was wondering there is a better mouse
better in what aspect?
i really like zaunkoenig mice but thats because i fingertip grip. if you like the shape of your mouse you should stick with it since thats the most important aspect of a mouse
ok is there any other rec
anyone know anything about the attackshark r5?
I'm thinking of treating myself by getting it along with the wooting 80he for Christmas
It's supposedly pretty good weight wise along with the sensor
I'm upgrading from a Razer Huntsman v2 and a Razer Basilisk V3/Deathadder V2 Special Edition
the only thing you can get "better" with other mouses are shape
it really depends
lighter weight and better cables too
what size mouse are you lookign for?
im mainly interested in fingertip mice. i recently got a pen grip mouse to try though
those are pretty heavy for fingertip only mice
yeah i mean pretty much if you wanna go any lighter youd have to get a custom shell
for wireless gwolves is around the same price and lighter
oh yeah i forgot about those
That mouse doesn't make much sense in terms of practicality
It's a x2 cut in half and heavier than an x2
The shape is the front half of the x2
and i find that really comfortable
Literally
The Gpx shape is good for fingertip if you have large hands
x2 mini same shape as my hitscan but the front is a little lower
Op1 is also ftip-able, but I think the GPX shape is better (for ftip)
gpx is just an overall shitty shape for me
I haven't tried the 2c but maybe I should at some point
I hate logitech mouses so its a no for me xd
The switch thingy Logitech's cooking up is interesting too
I just wish they'd use web drivers
i very much prefer the shape of the vv3p i got today over the gpx
Basically all the other brands have web drivers now, at least the ones I'd buy
Yeah i would install razers app than use a logitech app all day
I would never buy any razer product as long as they still use synapse
all my homies hate drivers. driverless mice are the future
attackshark r5 🙂
Shrug
I dont consider attackshark a good brand soo i dont care LMAO
When was the last time you used synapse
do yk that mouse
I dont know a single attackshark product
The time when I plug in my old viper mini wired and it auto downloaded for me like a malware
Mid game
genuinely the worst part about razer products
i kinda miss the synapse 2.0 days
I overall just dislike having a bunch of software on my pc, so web drivers are nice
Tbh for most “drivers” for mouse and keyboard are just configuration tools
as long as I don’t need to run something in the background webdriver or not is kinda the same to me
I just install them through chromium so I can pin them to my taskbar either way
interesting and useless
buy scyrox v6 and live happily
Not buying clones
Oh and the receiver on some of the units of that mouse somehow moves the cursor when physically moved
Don't know how that's possible even
lamzu proxy company btw
yeah its not
industry plants spreading lies
I don't have a lamzu mouse
HTS+
yeah razer never copied anyone
my current hyperxcloud ii headphones broke, any recommendations of what to get, iems/headphones, i saw lucid tekkusai iems a lot on twitter and idk if i should get them
You probably want to give folks a price range, otherwise someone going to come in and tell you to buy a $1k iem lol
100-300€

the blue ones not
they are trash
is a wooting 60he v2 a big upgrade from the apex pro mini
Soo much choice. Safest one would be kiwi ears astral. Something similar would be Ziigaat Horizon.
Any idea if the ddr5 ram prices will go down?
Not before summer
when demand for chips goes down
I bought a 32ram kit with 95£ and now is 250£
I wanna upgrade to 64 but it way to expensive rn
gotta wait some more, or hope AI bubble crash by next year
at least i got the 32gb in time before the prices went up
yeah, that'll last until windows 12 at least
You mean Windows Copilot?
Saw an article yesterday saying its tanked again. Saw another thing saying nvidia was going to have companies supply their own ram for gpu's haha
i love copilot
Did I pay an extra 100 for glow? Yes.
oof
enjoy your overpriced 5070 ti+
Eh, roughly 14% increase isnt terrible for the price difference
Better than a 1300 dollar increase for a 30% increase
me who got their 5090 FE for 2200$ including tax :)
I tried for 3 different best buy restocks😭
rip lol
I got mine from microcenter
Closest microcenter in 10 hours away😔
its 24h drive for me
Support me by buying some of the eartips featured at Hifigo

I should try the Tang Sancai Noble, according to him it lifts the treble a little bit on some IEM and reduces imaging+technicalities. Could make 7hz Divine better for me.
No spin fits or dunu S&S?
no
damn
Dashi would be disappointed
Are these better than shure earbuds?
most likely, but it also depends on what shure earbuds you're talking about
Good video if your ears are like his, small irregular ear canal openings, foam tips are my meta
Got the sancai noble. Just a pair to test.
I like the regular sancai so gonna see how this will fair
I paid the miku tax
If only it wasn't ASUS + Nvidia
if only it wasnt kinda ugly
talking about this collab in general, not trying to insult their build
No the full set is kindof ugly but I like how it looks in my build
what mouse is everyone using for FPS games in 2025?
i use the Endgame Gear OP1w 4k v2
Casual or Ultra Sweaty?
hitscan hyperlight (recently got the vv3p so im still forming my thoughts on it)
My condolences for having you deal with Razer Synapse
set it up once and uninstall
I do the same with my Logitech GPX 2 lol
Set it up, enable on board memory mode, uninstall
could also just have it not start on startup
Yeah, that's easy
I do like the pulsar web software
It's quite nice
One of the worst web softwares I've tried
eternally loading up, I gave up and using their desktop app now
For me it works just fine
I haven't had any issues with it
The instructions for updating the firmware though is really poorly worded though
That's like the one thing I complain about
They really struggle with software and firmware, otherwise their mice are good
We need Wooting mouse for this reason
This is on the latest chromium versions btw, specifically Google Chrome and Arc Browser
I've tried many browsers, their web software is just bad
While we're typing, it's still loading

But does the key...
Strange
nice backplate 😮
Thnx for the recommendation from long ago i finally bought the ATH-M50X and man does it sound amazing
can you now recommend me a good DAC to go off from here?
should i go for an 80he or 60he v2?
dam those some nice cyber monday deals on oled monitors
the 480hz asus from last year is pretty discounted
The size you prefer.
one from LG is also pretty good
1440p 480hz oled for 680
is there any other differences apart from that?
what pc specs do you think would be needed to utilize that monitor well
Got a recommendations? I’m currently just using apple earbuds.
what are you going to do with the IEM?
also Budget
I just game
Just sound quality overall I guess
Not spending more than 400 i’d say
HMM, that should gives you a lot of option I say
Kiwi Ears Astral should be a nice choice for ~$240, a more expensive (by $100) alternative would be Ziigaat Horizon.
If you can just spend just $100 more, you can get Xenns Top Pro. Same tuning as the other 2 but better. Not sure by how much, gotta ask @abstract warren
Keep in mind that higher price does not mean it's better
This means that the perfect earbuds for you might be $10
I haven’t done too much research into them
i’d assume they’re much better than apple earbuds though
Ideally you should just buy not expensive earbuds that are well-built and comfortable, then EQ to find your ideal sound from there. It's much better than buying lots of different ones
Which ones?
The non-pros have no bass so I'd never consider them good
Just basic wired apple earbuds
the ones you connect to your phone
Been using them for years
is it wireless?
It’s connected to my microphone
hmm, the wired one I guess
Yeah
Anything above $50 will do then
He means one of these I suppose
The complete lack of bass makes them horrible imo
They don't have eartips so there's no seal resulting in bass mostly being gone
Lmao. It's alright. Oppurtinity to show em a new world.
Why above $50 specifically? 🤔
I don't know, I just comes out with that number cause of think of Truthear Zero Red
for esports titles 7800x3d probably and any mid range gpu can get you there
maybe a few other cpus
For wired I'd prefer USB-C earbuds
Don't need to get a separate dac/amp
Though are you talking about for PC or for phone use
Yeah man been using them for years
And making low budget ASMR videos
For $20, you can start with getting Salnote Zero 2, imo, it's a very balanced IEM that has no stand out. That way you can realize what you're missing and spend more based on that.
Just EQ...
Technicalities are not real beyond what you see in the FR
We're talking about earbuds here
If the FR sucks, the technicalities suck too
So sound wise you just need to look at the FR
And so in the end it's all about what tonality is ideal to you (without resonances/peaks/dips)
What about the Shure SE215 PRO Wired Earbuds
what’s FR
Id put Kiwi Ears astral on the list, and get a few other IEMs in your price range and I would squig graph them to each other to see where the tuning differs and see what elements you think you'd like more than others (More vs less bass, higher/more spicy treble/more air etc)
Frequency response. It's a representation of the sound
Oh thanks
you probably wont get your preferred tuning right on the first go around, but I'd see what you think you'd like most and get something around there
Buy something with a smooth FR that has been measured on squig, then EQ it using the squig tool for a visual representation to get a good idea of where you want to be sound wise
(can't find 215 pro so regular one would do)
Don't think the one listed here would be a good though.
So just go with either astral or zero 2
do all “good” earbuds require ear tips?
If they don't get a proper seal, there won't be deep range
They need it to be properly full-range (cover every frequency we can hear)
m okay
i started off with truthear zeros to get a baseline of how iems feel and if i liked them or not
theyre pretty budget friendly and got great tuning imo
I just got the zero 2’s
You'll probably like it quite a bit
I really do recommend trying to EQ it even if you think it sounds perfect
What’s EQ
Btw if it sounds weird and horrible you probably just don't have a proper seal. Happened with me many times
I probably won’t realize to be honest
Maybe not since you're used to ones without eartips
Equalisation. It lets you change the sound freely. It's very good
imagine adjusting volume so that the song/game sounds loud enough while pleasant to you, now imagine a more fine grained control of such thing.
i’ve used them for my airpods but they seem to fall off and stuff
lets keep the pandoras box closed on this one
does anyone have a recommendation for a white coiled cable
For what? If for wooting can just go with wooting's cause then you don't have to worry about if 8khz stable or not
The Astral is Kiwi Ear’s professional-grade in-ear monitors designed to deliver a premium audio resolution and exceptional tonal balance. The Astral is intended for professional music engineers and discerning audiophiles who seek an engaging sound that does not compromise on accuracy nor precisio...
@urban granite
btw this case is NOT pocketable lmao
yeah thats what it was for
thank you
did mod ban you off generals
no lmao
what’s ur opinion on b3/dusk you gonna make or break my decision rn, tho leaning towards gores rec.
my recommendation are varedis recommendation
I’d have to Squig it personally to see the differences, never used either
squig?
I got into the game via fresh reviews who reviews a lot of IEMs and other peripherals for FPS
Yeah let’s you see the IEM tuning
You can chart multiple IEMs to see where they differ
dawg that can’t be a word 😭😭
man what am i doing 😭
the dusk tracks that line slightly better?
It’ll take some time to get used to it, IEMs and audio in general you gotta shift thru a lot of BS to find the good shit
The biggest variation is with the B3 vs Kiwi ears (B3 has a big drop in sub bass and upper mid range/treble) vs Dusk tracks a lot closer to Astrals
The best way to learn is to watch a fair amount of reviews on each to see how they describe the IEM and if it matches with what you want for your tuning (won’t get perfect on the first try).
A good disclaimer as well to heed
I’d also look at Xenns Tea Pro if you like more bass and are looking for a good $350 set too
Typically you can find a lot of videos comparing Tea Pro to Astrals
My experience with iem with similar tuning as Blessing 2 Dusk is that it'll sound very balanced but not having anything significant about it. Blessing 3 is going to be slightly less easy going cause it has more treble which can get spicy without any bass to balance it. Astral will sound more musical while remaining balance, which makes it a nice default choice if you fear Crin's tune is going to bore you.
Which it did bore me at volume I usually listen to, so I need to like 4-9 volume higher on windows.
Definitely!
No. Buy the 100%
both have the same hardware/capability, just depends on if you want 60% vs smol TKL and if you want split space bar or not
@abstract warren @round lagoon i did previously see on fresh reviews and he said the audio or something (the bass?) would get muddy when an enemy is over your head and something about like audio overlapping and not picking up
for the dusk
just want something for gaming and casual use if
if
i’d
hi
IG
Don't over complicated it
Just get astral and if you don't like it, return.
nah u right
it probably matters LOL
Yeah, I’d say go astrals. For FPS they’re really good, casual gaming they’re great, for music overall it might be lacking in some genres and better in others
You won’t get your taste perfectly the first time, but I’d try them out and see what you like/dislike and then try to find your endgame along the way since it’s highly subjective
anything can be an end game if you like it enough
I really love hd490 pro, and the only thing that can possibly beat is is Empyrian 2... which is 6x the price.
Yeah astrals could very easily be end game for folks, not incredibly pricey for the hobby, but gives really great value that you honestly don’t need to upgrade past if you love them
Only issue with IEMs is that ALOT are musically focused, so if you want good gaming/fps with some music added, it requires surgical precision to find a really nice set that doesn’t get muddied along the way
7hz Divine got a really nice separation if that's what you mean, it separates everything soo well that I feel like it's doing it unnaturally.
What I mean is that there’s a lot of bullshit IEMs you have to separate through, if you play a lot of FPS and single player titles, you have to know specifically what to look for. For one to do all 3 well in the same package without sounding muddied
You should just make a gaming EQ preset
Oh yeah EQ, or get 3 IEM that you rotate based on task.
I hate how close I am to this
🤣😭
I have 2 IEM and 1 headphone that I rotate around. General PC and inside music listen I do HD490, outside I do Meze Alba, Rhythm game I do 7hz Divine.
For instance a lot of the moon drop/ MD variations and other IEMs I was looking at before, were all just music IEMs that wouldn’t do well for gaming and vice versa
Being «good» at gaming essentially just means having a tuning that accentuates footsteps and not other frequencies afaik. And so it can be done just using EQ
I don't see why they wouldn't do well for gaming tbh
as long as something stage and separate well, you can always tune it to make it good for gaming.
Both of those things are just part of the FR
You can EQ it to «separate well»
I guess, but it's always nice to have something to your preference for the task without EQ
I had the Moondrop Variations and they «separated» really well (because of the FR). Unlike many earbuds they have less of a boost around 200 Hz which makes it sound more like the bass is separate from the other frequencies
I EQed that frequency up a bit to make it like your typical 1DD tuned headphone but liked the sound less
That’s why I’m excited to try and cop the JDS bc the EQ element for them seemed pretty easy and straight forward without having to tweak the world and more in the equalizer apo
The best thing about earbuds imo is how incredibly smooth the FR often is
So they take EQ very well
Many of them do not have any sharper peaks or dips that are hard or impossible to fix
Unless you buy that horrendous low-fidelity pair of $3000 earbuds that one guy did
I feel bad
mmm, soon supermix 5 is going to be released
5090 founders is in stock on infinia's website move move move move
Stupid speech to text as I'm driving lol
But it has poor thermals, noise and coil whine
The coil whine on my GPU is driving my crazy. Hearing it make noise whenever I scroll on desktop is frustrating
😭
Any monitor recommendations? Ig I can spend around 200usd on it
depends where u live but have u heard abt that new budget OLED?
its 220 usd where i live
260 hz or smth
Dude wtf, get of your phone and drive safely. Pay attention to the road instead of fucking discord.
I was at the stoplight lol
But 5090s are back in stock!!
I get the text notifications for it
Cuz sounds like "overpriced as fuck in your country"
aoc g27g4zd
im in dubai
I’d probably stick to IPS, and get something 144 hz with whatever res you game with
Yep as I said $300 for out of stock screen without sells/reviews
Indeed, ofc it would be nice if it has more than 144Hz but i don’t think there’s that much stuff in in stock rn
It’ll just cost more than $200
$200 is like the 60hz monitors from when I was building my first rig 5 years ago
Ma man I’m crying rn because I'm building new PC with those RAM prices
Tough days
Buy used ram?
Though I imagine that is still expensive
those mofo already raiced the prices, or someone managed to buy all the truly good stuff before I got to It :(
Why does my RAM alone costs now almost the same as I paid for the ENTIRE FUNKIN PC LAST YEAR
Facebook marketplace ram😎
It's almost twice the price of my 7900XTX
AI
Anyways, back to my question. Any monitor brands which I especially should check?
Ram is really nice for AI as of late thanks to the new CPU and the software being better
I mean
I kno
But I didn't expect for it to go up that much
Yeah, Imagine getting 32GB RAM of ddr5 for the price of the cheapest RTX 5050 series card(or even 5060)

Hello😼
If only there was a way to see such information - Such as the very product page where you place the order.

why the bundle one takes one whole day than buying it without the bundle 💔💔 this the one u got?
what
also yes it arrived the next day lol
the link you sent is the one u got right? the one with ziigaat case?
it’s a whole whopping 3 days 💔✌🏻
with prime
1 day without prime
yo what
ion remember asking but do u find the buds too intense? during games
The one thing I did enjoy about astrals/Xenns top pro tuning is that most normal audio experiences sound as they should (YouTube videos for example) and then for gaming they add a fair bit of punchiness/intensity to the sound which makes it more engaging
@lunar holly Alr bud let’s hear your experience
not personally but maybe overwhelmed when in calls but thats probably just a me issue lmao
I can agree, alba got somewhat similar tuning and I find the bass and midrange to be very neutral too.
Just that I want less bass
dw i get overstimulated when a bunch of people are yapping at once too
I could probably use more (not a huge bass head, but don’t want too much either)
I do enjoy more dynamic bass than just an outright bass assault
On the top pro for like cinematics and stuff the sound and visceralness of it is next level
in the off chance, if the astrals aren’t for me what others would u recommend?
I’d have to know more about what you like/don’t like
true
What I like about astrals is that they’re cheap and can sound like a $400 set
I just happened to really enjoy their tuning
Original Top was my OG all timer pick
Tea Pro is the bass head IEM choice
You’d have to go deep into the IEM rabbit hole and start finding sets that match your musical preference for subbass, mids, treble etc
I mostly just take a look at what fresh has rated highly and go from there as a good grounding for FPS/ST experiences
I have some disagreements with him but he led me to the Xenns top originally
A $400 set does not have a specific sound
yeah ion think i’m a bass heavy type of person
there's these 3. TLDR if you want more relaxed go for Odysssey, if you want more treble and less bass go for blessings. Around $50 difference.
ngl, seeing that blessing 3 bass makes me wanna cop it
Look at some videos comparing tea pro and astrals, I can find some for you later
I’d choose between those 2
where does the waner 2 lays here? i didn’t mind the musicial aspect of it but during games i hated the sounds
blessing 3 for gaming over dusk?
EQ and find out!
prop because it peaks at 2k ish. Waner 2 is okay, it might sounds bad to you cause it brings forward the vocal too much.
yesh, just tune the bass and see if you like it lower or higher, that's what I do with mine
maybe i should pick up a blessing 3 too over dusk, heard audio separation on blessing 3 are better
true or false? 😭💔
i don't know, demo it yourself
i hate how the plating is so scratchable other wise it looks lovely
anyways glasspad came today
opened it yet?
Keep in mind that separation is just a subjective description of FR and is not some inherent quality to it. You can make the separation better or worse with EQ
So in your opinion, what IEM do you recommend?
I just think that whatever you end up choosing (so many earbuds are very similar sounding anyway), that you should also try EQ to find your ideal sound
Much wiser than buying several different pairs to try to find out
is eq ing hard?
No
so if i end up getting the dusk moondrop would you kindly help me 💔😔✌🏻
If you do try it I recommend finding measurements of whatever earbuds you have and playing around with the EQ visualiser that squig.link has to help you understand what frequencies change and how they change
Sure
What are you using right now?
It's a pretty solid pair so there probably won't be a ton of room for improvement with EQ
I don't use any earbuds. I have sold all of mine
Oh wait the Dusk has EQ presets already. That's cool. I didn't realise it's a pair of DSP earbuds
You should definitely try all the EQ presets
Who here owns any lamzu mouses
You should try some custom 64 or FiR Audio IEMs. You won’t wanna go back.
No I would. I just don't get a good seal with any earbuds or eartips. And I hate having to clean them all the time
I look at this and ah yes lines
Custom IEMs are perfect fit
Universal fit can have issues depending on ear dimensions.
how are the skates on the x2 crazylight for anyone who has it
How are custom ones made? Do you scan your ear hole?
And yeah mine are not very even so fit issues is usually in one, not the other
You go to an audiologist and they scan your ear or take molds of it. Then you send it in to the company and they make them. They cost quite a bit more, but you also get much better support from the company as a token of appreciation in sorts.
I wonder if anyone would make customs from a scan at home, I have a custom face cushion for vr that only took a scan of my face with an iphone
An audiologist? Would they let me do that when I don't have any hearing issues
I'll just stick to over-ears and loudspeakers
Do you have something to take a 3d scan of your inner ear?
inner ear seems quite deep
isn’t even the ear canal still considered outer ear, and how deep into the ear canal do your tips usually go
Yup. Just reach out to them and be like “hey I’m trying to get some custom fit in ear monitors and need to either get molds done or scans done.” Most are more than capable of performing it for pretty cheap.
@hazy fiber idk if he used stock skates or not
Yes technically it’s outer ear, but people not familiar with medical knowledge, it’s much easier to say inner ear as you can’t just take a photo of your ear or simple scanner. The scanner has to be inserted in your ear a little over halfway to your eardrum.
if scanning that deep is necessary then it would be a bit more difficult
The deepest fit I’ve used is etymotic standard size and I don’t find those very comfortable at all for longer wearing, going deeper than regular iem tips didn’t feel very nice
I do
Nah, I swapped them
they're fine, they're regular ol virgin PTFE skates
ty
ive owned 3
any wya to make them better for gaming?
or EQ it to make it better
or someshit
the dusk ^
Yes
Maya x?
i havent used one, but my brother has one and really likes it
It depends a bit on what people mean. To some it just means making the footsteps pronounced which means you want to boost the the region footsteps are heard in. Or you just lower every other range. Some mean «imaging» which requires a good balanced frequency response to achieve. It already does this
«Fucking up» the FR to make footsteps extra audible will technically make the imaging worse
U plan on getting the new wooting?
eventually ill replace my og 60he module with one
Just pre ordered it for it to arrive on 17th dec

280hz 1440p
Need my regional shops to get those tandem OLEDs in
Oh wait we have 1 but it's 1k USD
noice
pov: the switchup
not even 3 weeks later:

if you want to experience a real tandem OLED display, go to an apple store and pick up the iPad Pro M5
and just, play an HDR video on it
I seen em they look real nice
make sure to take it outside
(for the true peak brightness)
when it detects HDR content it actually doesnt care about ambient lighting
LMAO
But I can't use one of those on for my desktop unfortunately, although I do want to pick one up for on the go photo editing
But it'll probably end up being a device I just use to play RuneScape on
iPad Pro with the reference display mode enabled is very very very good
I caved and bought ram because I literally watched it jump by 50 dollars in 2 days😔 worst case if price goes down I have until Jan 31st to return it
why didnt you just download ram from the internet /s
what is nice about reference mode is that it can reach 1200 candela with 100% white pixels regardless of ambient lighting
Yeah if they want to make another studio display with a panel of that quality
Then I probably won't pick it up because it would cost too much but that would be nice
issue: big AMOLEDs (esp tandem ones) are VERY EXPENSIVE
just dropped my whole focusrite onto my glass pad 😭
wha
is the galsspad ok?
its still intact its fine
fuck this focusrite its getting returned
i already got a motu m2 to replace it

Try and break your car window, they're right about the same
ye i got the motu a week ago when my focusrite was acting up, but it stopped acting up after i got the motu so i was just waiting for my focusrite to slip up so i had an excuse to return it
