240 to 480 is a 0.7ms difference
125 to 1k is 7ms it's 8x faster than 125

Milliseconds of persistence are more noticeable than they sound since a lot of people confuse them with reaction time whereas 2 ms of for example imput latency is miniscule compared to 2 ms of persistence in how detectable it is
