im using two modes one for normal gaming and typing and one with tachyon and other mods switching between modes is seamless
what else did you look at? I want a full size and HE board but its expensive tbh
2HE is the only full size HE keyboard
The Fully Assembled version includes: The keyboard PCB, the case, and the aluminum plate. Keycaps (included Mac & Windows keycaps). Adjustable-actuation-point Gateron double-rail magnetic switches. The K10 HE is compatible exclusively with the Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switch. It does not support other magnetic switch
there are others
It's kinda bad though, you are locked to using their switches as opposed to switches Wooting 2HE support.
80he but i had to wait months
Which is everything that wooting 60he and 80he support.
bad how? This would be my 1st HE board
i also looked at steelseries apex pro but it has soldered switches
Imagine 3-4 years down the line, one of your HE switch broke. Now try to find a replacement switch and you'll struggle to find it.
and i imagined how my W switch stops working 1 month after warranty
fair point
Wooting 2HE support the most made kind of switches
also I would imagine for Wooting to keep producing lekker and support wooting 2HE with bug fixes and next Wootility version for another 3-6 years.
the minus of the two he vs the 80he is the two he has only 2 years of warranty and the 80he has 4
Also it's going to get knob, the kind where you can place them everywhere on the keyboard, sacrificing one of your keys.
Don't touch keychron. Their keyboards aren't hotswappable, software is hot garbage, performance is worse than Wooting, their customer support is horrible.
If you want more reasons to avoid Keychron check this
https://www.reddit.com/r/BudgetKeebs/comments/1m8fek4/keychron_admits_to_manufacturing_defects_with/
thanks I appreciate not having to learn the hard way...
I am dead set on a full size though....any refreshes / new products I should wait for - looking to buy in the next 3 weeks
Don't set your hope on it, Wooting kinda iffy about making the next 2he
No new products are planned.
Keep in mind that if you plan to mod your keyboard, your options are very limited. You can only swap switches and keycaps pretty much.
No compatible cases
tbf I dont really want to tinker just move off a crap Razer that I bought during the pandemic
Oh, then get TwoHE and call it a day. It's still a good keyboard. Wooting's software is the best out there and you will have consistent software/firmware updates for years.
Also it comes with 2 years warranty
and soon a detachable knob
Beast X Max or Lamzu Maya X ? anyone have a good review about both of them and which one should i take ?
I'd go with Lamzu personally
i already have wl mouse but the shape in the middle its not that comfy
If you want magnesium, Beastx max. If you want plastic shell or want a mouse that can do both glass and cloth pads, maya x
There's a better option if they want Magnesium

that shits too small dawg
Viper V3 Pro in magnesium would be so cool
it would be like G502 unfort
that and you still get razer optical switches instead of gigachad omrons
Wow! Razer Synapse 4
what different between magensium and plastic tho ?
ones metal and ones plastic. Magnesium to the touch will feel different and will feel cooler than generic full body plastic. I happen to like magnesium mice more, but theres very few good ones
so should i take the wlmouse beast ?
just depends on what your priorities are/what you want. the beastx will sound louder than both CF composite/full body plastic mice, but both are good performance wise (own beastx pro and maya x)
no wrong choice between the two, I think the web software is a little bit better for Lamzu but havent touched my beastx in a few months
i play bf games alot and cs too
i already have WLMouse Fabulous Beasts one ( small ) the thing is its good but the shape of it in the mid after 1 hour of use start to be annoying that why im willing to get a new mouse but closed in every way
Beastx 💪 💪 💪
Lamzu makes solid products too, cant go wrong with either
This is a solid side max
is this the milky white color ?
Yeah
Now with baked it RAM eating minigame, watch your memory get overloaded with your overpowering gaming prowess
Touhou ransomware if it was cool
Oh my ghod, how I love my Eggmans, they sound sooooo goood
Eggmans?
Hifiman
Ok, which model the XS?
Arya v3 stealth
Nice!
Using the xs and been loving them, the capra strap made them uber comfy
ill take them for free
Dont mind the clutter

i wanna get an he keyboard should i get the 60he or the 80he?
Pick the layout you prefer :)
I want the dedicated keys so 80he for me
The extra keys are nice so 80he
What’s your current keyboard
I have a random Chinese “he” keyboard so anything is an upgrade
Is it a tkl, 75%, 65%, or 60%?
If you cant tell, just give us the name of the keyboard
If you don’t have a love for 60% I’d just get 80HE and call it a day
Or go for 60HEv2 if you just want a better stock experience
If you don’t plan on modding it at all
You ruined the poor guy’s baked beans on toast
L mod
friendship OVER
I'm also getting hyperlight from my friend in 2 days

No 8k dongle tho, but it's fine
us both, 9800X3D + 9070 XT
i use 2k on the hitscan
4 and 8 uses way too much battery
40g -> 62g mouse 🥀
superlight with dot skates cant track perfectly (or thats just valorant ue5 update)
Smh
Beastx clears you just have something wrong with you
can't grip

If Razer had WLmouse’s omron implementation it would be GGs for most of the market
Imagine 30g Zen mod with omron opticals
Smaller Viper V3 with omron opticals
yummy

Bring back more MX switch mice

I just bought loudspeakers! Sadly I won't be able to use them when I get them since my computer is fried

Plug 'em into the headphone jack on your phone! 😭
I would need to buy cables just for that. I can wait for my PC to work instead
I bought the speaker stands and interface used. Sadly the speakers were not being sold used so I missed an opportunity to save a little extra

i'll bring donw the ban hammer on the memeposters :p
Facts
If that was the last post I make here you'll know why
What mouse are yall using for fps games? Im debating between g502x plus and the superlight 2
Viper V3 Pro, shape is similar to Superlight but everything about it is just better
Il look into it cheers
All the pros be using logitech you know so thats the reason i was leaning into it
bc they got sponsored by them
Logi, SteelSeries and Benq/Zowie
They pump millions into marketing instead of R&D
Avoid them if you want something actually good
Sponsorships, but still in some games it's no longer most used mouse
did you sell your beast x pro for dav4?
No, I don't like ergo mice
what did you replace with hitscan?
I use Viper for now
Crazylight benched, poop sensor
Will try Hyperlight tomorrow
Cool names 😃👍
Logitech Vertical
Ye
He’s got raccoon fingies
My hand is 18.5x9 or something -_-
Gish someone know very good mouse (80-120€
Lamzu has nice offerings for that range
End game gear also id check out if you like wired mice
Lamzu Maya X
Hitscan Hyperlight
i didnt get an email from hitscan today
Do you know if they plan to release v2 of Hyperlight
hopefully i get the email by thursday
no clue, i havent heard anything about there being one
the hyperlight is pretty new
if there were to be a v2 it probably wont be for a while
Or maybe not given your luck with that sensor 😭
it came out closer to the end of last year, maybe q3 or q4 i dont remember
or end of q2(?)
No, it's only pulsar
3950 has a blood feud with you Shafie
ermm custom 3950 sensor
You need that extra stock 3950
i hope theyd make the next one more power efficient or a bigger battery while keeping the weight around the same
battery life is pretty short, coming from a logi mice even with both on 1k polling (i havent used razer in a long ass time so idk how that compares)
i dont mind charging it every night but ik some people will be annoyed by it
@wet coral When I tried Hyperlight for the first time, it felt weird. I think because of the sensor placement
Guys ATK fierce x 8K it’s good?
Just get a real mouse, we suggested above
hyperlight was my first small mouse but i got comfortable pretty quick
you got a stroke m8?
Idk what’s mouse buy bro
I don't recommend getting a mouse from ATKnockoff
Lamzu Maya X
Is pretty good
It has web software, great clicks, good coating
💀

Bamzu Baya
Does this generation not know how to search the web?
Google exists? shocking
Some can’t even read so you tell me
ChatGPT show me Bamzu go fast.
as for sensor placement i think i didnt have an issue because its in a similar spot to where the gpx sensor is its more centered to the mouse compared to gpx, idk ig i just never noticed anything off
I ain't readin allat
Well you’re a trend setter so I wouldn’t expect you to read

I know what you're doing
You asked us lmao and we gave you 2-3 options
You find one if you don’t like em
Yeah I love this weird "tell me what to do" "actualy you're wrong"
Lamzu Maya X, hitscan hyperlight as Shafie said and OP1 8k
Now you’re just rage baiting
ok but who
show me
BTW my jade skates got ate up as you predicted @hazy fiber T_T
I wish I could but I can’t even read, but neither can he
@lunar niche I like Ghostglide Cyclones on glass, they are releasing Cyclone Pros soon
It will come with spacers, will be even smoother
Best glass skates are TJ plastix
If you want smol dots that is but are 4-5x more durable on glass
Money pwease
They are the best tho
I’ve tried too many
And those are perma stayers
Aint touching DJ blastix skates bro
You’re not even using glass so
Glass is benched, forever
Too good?
@abstract warren I will use Hana again today, just for you
I’m not saying you have to, but was just saying DJ blastix rec was for mr yoshi turing
need me those new subpixel woleds frfr
Wait what
Subpixel OLED?
Do I have to restart my day? WTF is that
subpixel layout...
☝️🤓
Wait what's a yoshi turing
you
It's okay, you'll be correcting people when your PFP is a Fortnite banana and they think it's... I dunno, whatever comes next.
If you want I can make it that if it’ll make you happy
Or should I make it Yoshi riding a keyboard
Sure, though to me you'll just be
That’s no fun
Alright so what should I buy? Something from TJ Plastix?
If you want durable and good fps skates for glass 100% plastix
Control wise can’t be beaten
Any particular model?
I love how most of these skates feel for the first couple weeks before the glass pad eviscerates them
Aren't plastix so loud
Are they?
Not as loud as Beastx on glass
Maya x is fine
They’re lil louder than obsidian airs, but if that’s a concern he should prob stick to them
I want to try cyclone pros, spacers are promising
Honestly before they get chewed up I think all their volumes are fine. Once they get scratchy they're pretty loud.
Mine aren’t scratchy but you do get some hand on wood sweep sound only really noticeable if you aren’t wearing headphones
I wear open back headphones
@viscid bison we're at the bleeding edge of technology @hazy fiber
😳 What is this
Just don’t throw it
🤣
Honestly, not a bad idea for offices. Seperate is of course better... But not terrible
@wet coral
how is it?
Nice jelly bean side buttons
Similar to crazylight, but without weird sensor
i love the side button clicks but its being compared to the gpx
on the gpx its mushy asf
5g weight difference noticeable?
between crazylight and hypeelight
not really
45g and below usually is nice
ik, im stuck with a 62g brick 💔🥀
Fs
Y'all crazy for caring about a few grams uber alles
gpx is a medium-sized mouse and hshl is a small-sized mouse
They are so similar lol, this is the real crazylight without scuffed sensor💔
1k is all you need 😅
the stock skates on the hl is pretty good imo
I'm using cyclone dots on raiden
its great they let you decide if you want to put them on or not
chat what do we think, will there be a way to ship this to EU?
just get it on aliexpress
SMH false advertising. Not a single duck bill or anything duck like present.
What a load of quack.
@hazy fiber
Who screwed up?
m1 got loose and screw was missing the head so i couldnt do the easy fix
HOW
Wich wireless mice should I recommend to my friends who’s on the budget (40usd) cuz I have no clue
just snip of the cable from any old mouse
I’d check Rtings for their top budget mice maybe and see what looks good at that range
You could prob get some wired slightly older razers for cheap but won’t be wireless
oh, well thats not supposed to happen to screws
did they use zinc screws?
cauz zinc screws are just slightly cheaper than alloy steel and are extremely brittle
idk, i never asked what material they used
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehuyvAfggLc I just got this recommended, maybe you can use this as a reference point

damn ryan
That's actually pretty smart, if you want the mouse to feel lighter, just use the earbuds. No need for holes
“August”
why are you interested for your 3rd set?
This makes sense with some game buds
Guaranteed non L sensor
Gud web based browser and will be under $120
Seems like a no brainer
@hazy fiber
Wait do I need another Baya
oh nvm smaller than maya x
ok people there has to be some headset nerds in here, what headset would you recommend? that isnt super expensive I need a new one
Nova Pro Wireless
so i have a steelseries one but the batteries are not charging
and I need one with a mic because i travel
Audeze Maxwells are currently the best out right now with 90mm planars
I'd say the Astro A50 Gen 5 is the best wireless gaming headset. Impressive frequency response smoothness (and Astro software has parametric EQ), better microphone than Maxwell, lighter weight, more leakage tolerance so wearing glasses does not change sound as much as on the Maxwell.
Only negative to me is that there is less space in the earpads
They also isolate sound less than Maxwell which is good or bad depending on what you prefer. They feel a bit more open
I upgraded from Maxwell to Astro Gen 5 and it was very worth it in my opinion. Better more consistent sound post-EQ, and does not make my head hurt after a while from the weight
I have Gen 4 and Gen 5 astros too the thing with astros however they arent truely wireless unless u get A50x the regular A50s are bounded to the dock and most of the problems with the ears cups for the astron a50 and maxwell that u mention can be fixed with Wick Cushion upgrade lol.I hope ur not using Astro Command for A50 Gen 5's! Lol its only getting updated on logitech app. Astro command is Gen 4 and below
Aren't truly wireless? There are no cables to it when on my head. The Wicked Cushion earpads for Astro A50 make it sound absolutely terrible and introduces Maxwell type problems of less leakage tolerance
Nope they arent truely wireless at all hence why they mads the A5OX
Without Base station it wont work
Wireless as in not dependent on a dock
U cant play music from ur phone on a regular a50 u can walk outside on a regular A50 ur still tethered to the dock
And its range
The dock is quite useful and I like it more than Maxwell's dongle solution. Putting the headset on the dock keeps it always fully charged for the next day and it works as a headset stand
True
But u also lose the comfort of just having a headset that u can go anywhere with lol
Cant use it as a headphone like u can with maxwell
Though I'd never bring a Maxwell outside. It's too big and heavy as a travel headset to me
I'd want something with ANC personally if I were to bring it outside
Lol i love the weight
Dont get me wrong i love my astro and think they look better
But im not buying a50x if most of the time im driving blasting music
If i was a public transportation guy i would but not worth it lol
nice nice
It looks like a concrete building
Put them on mou's back so the muffs are around her tummy
Color matching with moumou
Mouphones
So I’m getting the Corsair versoloso pros
Set the stage for your greatest streaming and gaming moments. VIRTUOSO PRO produces true-to-life audio that lets you catch every important detail. State-of-the-art 50mm graphene drivers faithfully reproduce sounds for radically rich acoustics. And the open back design allows free airflow, creatin...
Because they are in my budget
What do you guys think
You did a fine job
I have no idea about the corsair but i bought the Fractal Scape and just got them today and they're great
That is a good headset?
what headset would you recommend in that same price range
I mean im not a nerd wiht audio stuff but I want one with good sound quality
The one you sent has very poor audio quality. My recommendation is still on the Astro A50 Gen 5 but you have to spend a little bit more unless you find it on sale where you live
Gadgetry Tech probably has good recommendations for cheaper ones
@hazy fiber my hyperlight didnt get delivered today
it was supposed to arrive by 9pm
but its usps

it was already in my state and now its in va
I have no idea, but you already bought it, so why not be excited?
I think I'm gonna return it, because suddenly my Crazylight micro movement issue is better after firmware update
usps doesnt even have an estimated delivery date anymore 💔 🥀
why is it in va 🥀
soon™
the package was literally in nj, right next to ny and its now in virginia
in fact
it went to brooklyn before leaving to virginia

and it took them from 4am-6pm to move it between warehouses in virginia
He has time to cancel it. The chance of him finding that tuning good is very low
not generally a fan of pink but damn, might buy
The one on the right, with proper stick placement
The vanilla DualSense is so based but it would be better if the sticks felt like the Switch 2 Pro controller
I guess HE as well
idk maybe im the weird one but i never liked those "custom" controllers
Same
If Sony would just make the DualSense with HE sticks/triggers plus a proper 2.4 GHz wireless standard. That’s my controller for life.
a few of my friends has HE sticks and triggers and they hate it LOL
I was the same but idk I was using normal Xbox controllers and they always broke in less than a year… I think it’s because I was playing rocket league a lot and eventually the sticks were drifting.
I actually bought a Chinese one after and after like 2-3 years it still works fine lol
https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/headphones they have Mid range and Budget entries (also notable mentions in each, which are usually excellent alternatives).
this aint good right
as much as i usually love using rtings as a reference, it feels like this table seems super saturated with subtle brand plugs/sponsors
What is the microphone like on the Fractal Scape?
That doesn't look nice
ye support time on monday
It's fine
The noise cancellation is pretty damn good which is what i noticed more about the mic
I watched the BadSeed Tech review shortly after asking that. Seems decent for a headset microphone but equally, why do gaming headsets still have terrible microphones in 2025?
I must say the Nova Pro mic has been insanely clean on the receiver end, even though technically a premium "gaming" headset.
No idea but it's a massive improvement from my previous mic where it sounded like a mcdonalds drive thru mic
I'm on that Elgato Wave 3. I want to streamline the setup without sacrificing quality though.
Headset is super comfy btw, the surround sound is great, being able to set everything on device and having 0 bloatware is awesome
oh ncie you bought them?
Scan, one of the UK retailers, have both colours in stock for £169.99
I'd like to try them
As they work on PC, PlayStation and Switch 1/2 so it would cover all my gaming devices.
One of the reasons why i wanted them
One assumes the microphone works on Switch 2 if connected via Bluetooth?
Didn't try the mic
On switch
Only tried it on pc and on my phone
But yeah they sound really good for both music and gaming and having a little button to switch between 3 eq presets is nice
@viscid bison
The Astro A50 has one of the best ones imo
Beyerdynamic mmx 200 is also an option
Yes bit otherwise it's a great headset
How good of a mic do you need tho
@heady crystal if it's just for playing with friends once in a while you don't need something super crazy
just get a modmic
The Maxwell mic was quite boomy and bad I remember. Astro mic was a nice upgrade as well as all the other better things about the headset
It's more an observation that gaming companies still use ass mics when non-gaming products at similar prices sound better (IMHO)
for wireless its kinda hard
Crazylight is calling you

i have to go back to it cuz thats the only backup i got
🥀
the shape is so ass
crazylight shape is too good
Dear eDiary do not trust shafie and varedis anymore (scratch that dear eDiary i have failed this server way too many times)

flux users want to see the world burn
sensei shafie my bad i havent had coffee this morning i thought you were talking about logitech gxxp 2
forgive me sensei
Hell no
thats what im using right meow
🥀
@abstract warren to match the jade XD
i had gxp2 then got the sora v2
and its just been ass
i like the shape but the mouse right click alright went to shit
just feels cheap
for the price i paid for
ninjutso qc moment
i love the OP1 8K v2 but the wheel is kinda sticky when i wanna click it but i dont really mind it xd
plastic bird poo green isnt going to match it that well, i wouldnt break your back to match it
"We want to save money"
i know i was just trolling
Bought mine at the right time 🙏
You should trust me instead
Bought mine and sold at the right time 🙏
Is there a metal/magnesium mouse out there that doesn't have huge holes or holes at all, I want the premium feel and lightness but huge holes in my mouse is just so bleg
Yeah, BeastX Pro solid sides
best you'll find is WLmouse for magnesium, their slits arent terrible, but once you feel them in game it will start to strain your ring/pinky fingers depending on which you buy and the size of your hands
so def solid sides
ive been dailying the gpx2 for around 2 years and i like the shape, just the mouse buttons are one of the downsides for me
thats how i usually hold my mouse 😭
its kinda a claw-palm hybrid with how i have my fingers just the size of the mouse stops me from going full claw
and idk if i want a smaller mouse
Tbh i did kinda get into claw grip as well
mr frogaim please give me some kovaak shit that would be good for beginner/intermediate aimer

does it literally just become an extension of your hand at that point?
holy jump
what mouse?
op1 8k v2
Ok so that headset has bad reviews the Corsair one but what headset would you guys recommend
I need some help please
headset or headphones
Do I need to mention Astro a third time? You haven't even said what your budget is
having personally used astros id not recommend them
Which one did you use
a50
I specifically recommended A50 Gen 5
i had a gen3
but main gripe was: battery life decreased way too fast, cable broke withing a year, base station stopped charging when putting it on after 2yrs (only a few months after warranty ended), headband fell apart shortly after
Gen 5 is the best gaming headset I know of
The cable for the base station?
charging cable for the headset
Oh so it didn't use the dock to charge
yeah let me put them on the dock while gaming
Gen 3 must be quite old then
the reason i used the cable more often is that the lifespan of the batteries was trash
after 2 years they barely held an hour without recharging
As long as you put them on the dock when you finish using the PC it will be fully charged and last the next day. So I never end up having to charge it while using it
the first few weeks that was the case for my a50s
held the entire gaming sessions
then it slowly went to only 8hrs
then to around 5
and before i knew it an hour was all she had
Hopefully my unit won't die like that
have to say comfort and adjustability of the EQ were top notch though
The Gen 5 has the best tonality of them easily, while also sporting a very smooth frequency response. Together with the EQ software I give it a 10/10 for audio
But without EQing them people are likely to prefer the Audeze Maxwell
But I cannot stand the weight of the Maxwell
i mean id always personally recommend to split into headphones and mic
usually means you get better quality for both, can exchange them separately and also more comfy imo as most headphones arent as heavy as headsets
budget is around like $150
i dont think the a50s are in that budget
lol me either
i have heard the hyperx cloud 3 is good but idk
I want something that will blow me away sound wise
but also wont make me go bankrupt
At least not without a sale going on
i got my gf the cloud alpha from hyperx and shes happy with it but i cant speak on any quality of it since i dont use it lol
Experience legendary performance and sound of ASTRO Audio V2, with the convenience and freedom that comes without wires. The A50 Wireless + Base Station for PS5 /PS4 / PC delivers top-of-the-line acoustics, ergonomics, comfort and durability that gamers demand. The all-new Base Station provides c...
what about this?
its renewed but its the astro a50
@quasi field
where do you see the gen for it
How much does Gen 5 cost for you
where do you see gen 5 at lol
ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Headset with Base Station Gen 4
Is what the one you sent has in the title
The Logitech A50 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset + Base Station is made to play. With PLAYSYNC AUDIO, you can connect and quickly switch between 3 gaming systems, including Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC/Mac and more, all from a single on-ear button. PRO-G GRAPHENE audio drivers ach...
this is the moset expensive one
This is Gen 5 yes
Can tell because of Playsync
so you charge it on the dock thing?
Yes. When you do not use it such as logging off for the night you put it on the dock and it will charge, making it always fully charged the next day
So you will not be interrupted by having to charge it during use
ok so I should just get the astro a50
would you say this is better than steelseries
like I play cod and rainbow six siege
It is better than any other gaming headset I know of so yes
Do make sure you play around with the EQ in the Atmos software. It is free audio quality
There are also presets you can download that other users have made
I prefer wireless
why
The versatility it gives me
I used to use wired «audiophile» headphones but the Astros I use now are my favourite ever. They sound better than most headphones in existence regardless of price. And wired/wireless is irrelevant here for sound quality. Any sound quality differences you hear will be from the headphones themselves such as distortion and frequency response
Ok does anyone else have any other opinions/options? I am looking into those but those are expensive for headphones lol
Thank you for your suggestion @quasi field what about wired what would you suggest
are those on ears or over ears?
That's quite a massive treble peak!
Over
Ooo neat
How is the sound on those? What do you use them for mainly
Ok chill
That’s not ok
Would you say it’s better than the Astro a50
I know but that statement made me uncomfortable
Okay anyways @jolly pulsar
Send me this graph for the a50
A50 has a smoother treble also which is easier to EQ well
Better colours
I'd classify the Astro as decent without EQ. Not as great as Maxwell
But the Astro has great EQ potential which shoots it up far post-EQ
A50 Gen 5 is $200 or sumting in America
Don't know about Fractal
Astro can be EQed so well
The Astro? Didn't you send one that was $200?
Oh okay. Pretty expensive headset then (I forgot the price since I got mine at a strong sale)
Yes 4 is poop without EQ
Apparently 5 is poop without eq also
No it's not
4 is very poop. One of the worst types of sound signature imo. More midbass than subbass, going far into the mids, then a big lack of treble
Makes it sound like you are wearing 10 ski masks under the headset
Is it easy to eq @quasi field
Very
I’m not an audiophile lol
Especially with the Astro if you use the Astro software. It has its own 10 band parametric EQ software
You can also download presets there others have made
So what would be the best gaming headset”audiophile” headset with a mic lol 😂
Only thing that would make it worse to me would be if it also had treble peaks here and there. I hate headphones that sound both dark/veiled and sharp/piercing
on both ends
🤨
Govs me options?
So I have a shure mv7+ for my setup at home but I travel a lot so I need a headset with a mic for on the go but stil would be my main
Astro post EQ beats the wired headphones I have owned in many ways
Recommending Audeze is dangerous imo. Too heavy for most of them and most of them have meh sound quality. They almost all suffer from too little treble and too little bass
I think I prefer having big feet on my moose
Their sound profile is poorly suited for «fps gaming»
It was Sean Olive who I remember posted this:
https://x.com/seanolive/status/1217584220152815616
@metal571 @oratory1990 @AKGaudio The only other dimension besides #1 frequency response and #2 distortion/dynamics are #3 spatial.. If you don't get #1 right then #3 won't happen. It's a pre-requisite for accurate localization/externalization along with head-tracking.
Since most Audeez have poorish frequency response they do not get great imaging
Yes
The distinction usually just lies in «gaming one might look gamerish and might have a microphone»
Anyone here own a razer blackshark v2 pro?
Sound worth obsessing over. VIRTUOSO MAX harnesses the passion of audio experts and the power of cutting-edge technology to produce immersive acoustics across multiple platforms. What you think about this
I’m still trying to weigh my options before making a decision
some bro snapped his beastx https://x.com/ketol_v/status/1954478222109991074
1 g reduction
That's like a 0.1 increase to KD ratios
How tf
thats such a weird place for it to break
Yeah i dont get how bro caused thst
Gamer sweat can melt steel beams
i use iems, truthear zero:reds (cheap with good stock eq)
IEM gang gang
i bought my wooting 80he on friday im excited to get t
it
my current kb sucks.. i hope wooting will make a difference
you get any switches yet or no
since you got the prebuillt, if you want the current best switches id try to find some owlabs/Raptor v2s depending on your region
portugal
is it something that will enhance my experience?
i use it for typing and playing a game called haxball
both will have better stem wobble than the lekker v2s and will have a different sound profile (preference). You can try the default lekkers and see how you like them
Owlab Ti HE specifications: Each pack contains 10 switches Hall-Effect Linear Bottom-out Force: 40g or 50g Initial Magnetic Flux: 120Gs Bottom Magnetic Flux: 750Gs Total Travel: 3.4mm Top Housing: PC Bottom Housing: Nylon (Closed-Bottom) Stem Material: POM Factory Lubed Manufactured by Owlab
Deltakey co (EU vendor) does have owlabs, but doesnt have raptors yet
since i will get the prebuilt version.., i can use it as it comes right.. maybe adjust the speed to 0.1mm
prebuilt will be fully stock so it will just be plug and play if you use web software or the app
then if you want to mod anything wooting has some videos taking it apart and putting it back together (not very difficult once you see it a time or two)
like... I want to adjust the response time to 0.1mm
if you only use it for typing and haxball, you may be happy with the lekker v2s
you should be fine then
also, i hear i have to download the app to activate the rapid trigger, right
you can do it on microsoft edge/chrome or download the app
it will store the profile onto your onboard memory on the keyboard
hmm through the wooting app you mean?
yes
and it will work everywhere?
you can download the app and do it that way, or you can do it via your browser (edge or chrome)
also i can adjust the typing speed (im not sure how its called to 0.1)
yes 0.1mm actuation
thats pretty fast
also i heard the rapid trigger is top-notch
to portugal it takes from 2-10 business days through ups, right
Bad
i got a 240 hz lg monitor and thinking of saving up for benq 240 hz monitor is it worth it?
i play comp btw
No
I would wait for gsync pulsar ips monitor than any TN monitor nowadays
dyac is tempting tho
Gsync pulsar should get pretty close and you can use VRR at the same time
I think Asus has a Gsync Pulsar monitor with VRR and Backlight strobing
Albeit it's a bit expensive
Not sure if it is available yet
gsync pulsar is like 5years too late
who invests in 360hz ips panels in 2025
If you simply look outside of gaming, plenty of people
360hz outside of gaming?
But I don't want to deal with VRR flicker on oled
i lowkey havent seen tearing in many years
I think I’m gonna cave and get the Astro a50s ($300)
Pls no
He is referring to the Gen 5s. They are good
@quasi field i ordered the astro a50s did i make a good choice
The Logitech A50 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset + Base Station is made to play. With PLAYSYNC AUDIO, you can connect and quickly switch between 3 gaming systems, including Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC/Mac and more, all from a single on-ear button. PRO-G GRAPHENE audio drivers ach...
Its not a bad purchase
But just seems rly overpriced for what it is
You did
If you compare it to competitors that are way cheaper
Overpriced how?
I beg of you. Learn how to clean your links from tracking cookies. Or at least get an addon for it.
250€ when you can buy identicals for 170-200€
Everything past that ? is pure tracking shit
Identicals????????
Here is what that headset gives you:
Wireless low latency
One of the best microphones on a headset available
Very smooth frequency response that is great for using the built-in parametric EQ with
High leakage tolerance (meaning you can wear glasses etc. without it affecting sound much)
Low distortion
Not saying its a bad headset but the mic quality is on par with the blackshark v2 pro and the hyper x cloud 2. The quality of the sound guess you could make the argument its a bit better but 80€ better? Also the earcups are leaky so you hear outside sound more than average gaming headphones
If he has a silent environment and wears glasses then yea its good but astros just seem to be overpriced cuz of the name
Yes they feel quite open. But this is also part of why they have such good leakage tolerance
Maxwell on left, A50X (same as Gen 5) on right
Hmm i lowkey wanna try these in a store imma see if i can find one nearby
Does the comfort outweigh the noise cancellation
I find them comfortable. Weight wise I do not have a problem with them. But the earpads are a little small. They are actually smaller on the Gen 5 than the previous gens
Paying >300usd for a headset where leakage tolerance is a marketing point seems like high level copium ngl, especially since you could probably save money buying a cheaper but relatively equally performing headset and replacement ear pads to get the same effect
If you find the weight good or not depends heavily on what you are used to. I came from the Maxwell so it was a huge relief
I don't know if it's a marketing point. I have no idea how it is being marketed. I am simply listing reasons for why it is good
The only way i could give an argument to get this headset is if you need to be wary of your surroundings like keep an ear out for your children or whatever. Other reason is if you’re a streamer. Cant think of any justification to pay this price. But this might be just me
The biggest reason why I got it was because it has an unmatched level of sound quality post-EQ
If you got the money to spend then thats a fair reason
In comparison to?
Guessing the maxwells
Yes I find it to beat them. But only after EQ
I'm more happy with them than any wired headphone I have had too
Im really contemplating getting a pair of wireless ones but mine current steelseries arctic 1 still kinda works so im in a dilemma
Even tho its like 7 years old and the volume is fked
I can sell my used mouse and keyboard but no tackled headset
Id def get the razershark v2 pros tho
Better mic than the v3 lmao
@quasi fieldi might need your help with eqing when i get them if you are free
Sure
Will use it for speaker calibration. I feel bad actually since I won't be using it for anything else. Will store it away after calibration to not clutter my desk
FUCK YES
i can't wait to get one either and sell this Audient Evo 4 lol
what speaker setup do yo have? its so rare to have other people with speakers for gaming these days
A little surprised about that considering your initial more budgety approach, regardless i went through this same dilemma, but i found it overpriced for what it is, Nova Pro was a more realistic settle for me, but i think you will be happy regardless :)
Neumann KH 120 II
The mic is so bad tho 😭
Not at all
it has WHAT?

Astros are known to be overpriced cans
a solid choice, if money doesn't matter:
Audeze Maxwell
Mic Quality matters:
Razer BlackShark V3 Pro
less expensive option with great audio:
Fractal Design Scape
Yes because of how smooth the fr is. It is more EQable than any other option I see
Not as jagged and with a higher consistency than the Maxwell for example
Maxwell has:
Worse FR consistency (different shaped heads, wearing glasses, having long hair, and simply seating it differently will all provide a higher variance in sound)
More jagged frequency response
Higher distortion
Worse and audible group delay
Worse and audible channel matching
More weight
A worse microphone
If mic quality matters then get external one
Look up an Astro A50 Gen 5 mic test. It is quite good actually
Ew, Logitech? Come on mate
It has a very clear and neutral sounding microphone. I don't know of a headset with a better one
Ok, but, like... Logitech?
I don't really know much about the other things they make
Maybe that's better
Beyerdynamic mmx 200. Wireless and Has a decent mic
Doesn't look super gamer as well
Hes right the astro gen 5 has a pretty good mic
But then again so does the hyper cloud x’s and razer blacksharks
i need a new chair secret labs suck
me with my Tesco's Gaming chair brand
Marketplace office chair
sharing other people ass sweat is crazy work
tbh i dont find any good chair for my own ass xD
so i just use the chair that i got for Christmass from my parents
good enough gaming chair
i feel like chairs overall will never feel comfortable
sure you might find one to sit in for a few hours but sitting in a chair for long periods of the day just messes up your back
get a HM and get back to us
money 100% buys happieness if youre in a chair for mre than a few hours aday
HM+standing desk every few hours and you wont even notice you have been sitting
What should i upgrade my gpu to i have a 4060 and its my first pc
Upgrading to the fractal scape allowed me to... UNINSTALL GHUB
FINALLY
Shit send it my way
Im using an office chair from like 2006 its ass
I also need a new desk...
Herman Miller all the way
@hazy fiber the goat is back
broo it immidately feels 10x better than the gpx
i can finally toss it back into the drawer
No you gotta do the tradition and toss it out the window
Another one fell for the super light propaganda
Viper v3 pro is objectively better
I also have a GPX2 👀
i got gpx 3 years ago
Blasphemy
MODS
POG
<@&1098943457654997093>
How much wooting can i get with that
Who is falling for this anyway?
That fake BBC News screenshot is an incredibly shitty headline.
Not anyone who has enough money to buy a wooting thats for sure
those guys
What is going on in here
nah theres been people with roles who fell for it
Mr Beast would genuinely go bankrupt if he just gave out 3k like that
We ban a dozen or more compromised accounts per day... Most get caught by our regex and dealt with out of sight, but it's a constant game of cat and mouse
Thats so sad people fall for it
Well yeah people want that free money
@deep hawk you should give me money
I'll buy moumoutreats
Who needs mrbeast when we have mrakbar
my cat uses it as a scratch post when im on it
btw night have you ever ordered from max gaming before?
A good chair is like 120-150€
No one forcing you to sit on a 19 year old office chair
Thats money I dont care to spend on a chair
Gas ain't cheap 😔
i'll let you know if i get hit with bad custom fees
ships from Sweden
I have
A long long time ago
And yes you will have to pay taxes
Its not duty paid
🤔
G502 is quite light
13%
dude anything over 25cad is taxed if its not duty paid
Unless you just get randomly lucky
Are you buying from MaxGaming to have it sent to Kanada?
yes
Means it goes through canadian customs and maxgaming doesn't collect taxes on checkout
And maxgaming marks the value properly
So yes
You have to pay taxes
Wlmouse didnt do this for my beastx max, was very pleased
Also sometimes things just slip through a crack
Hoping taxes dont fuck me over when I get that car transfered to my name
Hopefully they undervalue the fuck out of the car 🙏
Here theres exemptions if its direct family
Or if it's declared as given not sold
In Quebec or Canada as a whole
Elsewhere in canada i have no idea
Just telling you for quebec
Unfortunate
@wispy blaze you can always import it straight from japan
Why would I do thst my dad literally owns the car 😭
Im building it with him its in his garage rn

Only problem for me is registering thr car in bc from Alberta
Dunno why people are complaining about g502 when it is very light mouse if you grip it properly

Idk the legality of having it registered and insured in Alberta when the primary driver lives in bc either
bro i swear ive held one in the store and the only reason i didnt get it is cuz i wanna have max performance for cs. the people who complain about the weight gotta be like 120lbs or have severe atrophy
or they play comp fps games
I do not weigh 120lbs or have atrophy and its still heavy compared to any of my mice
Its heavy asf if you've used any mouse that weighs significantly less
well yea obv but its not that BRICK of a mouse people ar complaining about
I mean it is
I tried lighter mouses than g502 and they are impossible to control
where they ship from usa?

China
my has to go through quebec customs
Mine went through van
yeh the viper v3 pro was bit too light so i got the qck heavy mousepad and now i can control it
and Quebec always make sure the customers get fucked
French moment
FR**CH
i dont get the g502 hate
🤢
people prefer lighter mice will smaller shape
I dont have even good mousepad
you arent holding no bag of cement
Because they have small hands
im just telling you what people complain about
and thats okay but the anti 502 propaganda dont make sense
i hate a good mouse get bullied for dumb reasons
blame tik tok
- Logitech product
- Heavy asf compared to any modern gaming mouse
- Ergo mouse 🤢
- Logitech product
- Ghub

If wooting mouse is not g502 shape and weight, i'am not buying
*me no want big g502 because my hands smol 🥺 *
I have 20x12 hands and still wouldn't ever buy a g502
that yall hate the superlight for having garbage quality and overpriced okay
but the g502 propaganda? ends now
No it doesnt 🗣️
I cant even hold Light mouse well, because it feels like it would break under my hands
lmao i had that with the superlight
damn near broke it in the store testing it
Lightweight =/= weak though
I had a GPX Superlight 2 and the left click and mouse wheel went shit on me
That's why g502 superior
so I got a Razer VV3 Pro for like $40 off
My beastx max and mini are the most sturdy/solid mice I've ever held
smart man
And yes I have tried a g502 before
if i was still a big runescape guy g502 all the way
G502 is very comfortable
If i could palm grip without pain maybe yeah, still would prefer a lighter mouse though
If you have proper grip, you wont feel weight of g502
I do claw on g502
like making it twice as heavy
I mean.. no
It will always feel heavy no matter what compared to my 40g mouse
There is g502 reddit
Thats just, how that works
I literraly cant feel weight
It feels like moving nothing

Well no shit you probably only usr a g502
If you used a light mouse for a period of time itll feel likr a brick after
There is no g502 shape light mouse
I'am still thinking about tungsten mod
hand hypertrophy
Like putting tungsten cube inside of mouse shell
better tell the missus to get ready once you start utilizing the fully tungstenized g502
@wispy blaze well if you use whole arm and claw. Mouse feels like nothing
