Edgerunners got away with it by placing new characters and plot in the universe, not by retelling an existing story with branching story paths.
BG3 has to to the same. Cause there's a LOT of branches there. And then it wouldn't be BG3 On TV. It would just be a Sword Coast adventure in the general area of the city.

Jokes aside I've always loved them, I made an app for the Liverpool museum once, it was an augmented reality all and the idea was that someone could hover over the bones with their phone and it would show an animated version of what they looked like and sounded like.
