hey guys, sorry for the upcoming noob question but im having issues trying to get a software names signalrgb and artemis rgb to work on my wooting 80he. the softwares read the keyboard and the rgb works for about 5 secons then the lighting on the keyboard freezes and stays that way until i unplug it. can anybody here help me with this issue? thank you in advance

Thankfully the majority of packages are scanned in within roughly 72 hours (ignoring weekends), and once you have the tracking label, it's the usual confirmation that they did indeed pick up the package - Even if their systems say otherwise.

50g is still pretty light. It's all personal preference - 40g is too light for me.

Ok nice! So I unscrew the screws on the bottom of the PCB and remove the black part. Then I have the white part and push the switches from the bottom/behind without any tools? 🙂

Basically, yeah. Instead of painstakingly pulling out each switch with a tool, you just push them out from behind with only the switch plate in hand.

Will save you a lot of time and effort on the 80HE.

They’re all screw in, the solution is remove the pad

Anyone else have issues with keys not working? I have tried swapping switches and cleaning connectors. The key only works when I touch the connectors directly I've tried several switches.

The JST cable is inside the case - it connects the daughterboard (the smaller board with the USB port) and the mainboard.

As for what might be causing your issues, wooting one uses optical swiches, different technology from the newer stuff

So getting switch replacements would be hard to impossible due to them not being in production anymore

I would try to maybe clean the sensor on the board with something dry like a dry qtip if you have any

Just to get and dust or debris off

Could also attempt to see if there is any dust in the switches or anything

Since wooting one uses optical technology, the light needs to be able to travel all the way to activate the switch

that's a new one. Usually it's other way around, but you can get some clackier switches, remove foam maybe (although do be aware it makes your 80he way more flexible which may not be good for sensitive settings)

You can get the module + a case from kbdfans with daughterboard if you don’t want the wooting one

But the wooting case is like $10 with the module and you get a nice cable and the daughterboard

Mechanical switches are usually 60g, so yeah 50g is lighter. For HE switches you usually see 40-60 as bottom out

Perfectly understandable. I am still at a loss why couriers dump packages off at doorsteps in the US, when porch piracy is so common. Here in Europe, you get an in person doorbell attempt, and then if that fails they bring it to a local pickup spot, typically a Supermarket.
