Got my module, zinc and GEON raws in last night. Pretty confident the raws are slightly misshaped or defective. Nearly impossible to remove off the plate without nearly damaging it or bending my switch puller. Anyone else experience this? Other switches I purchased fit fine. May return them.

Hey guys, does anyone if there are still stability issues with Tachyon mode on the 80he? I've had this weird thing where my keyboard keeps disconnecting and reconnecting in the middle of gameplay. Sometimes it turns the LEDs completely off, other times not. If I keep wootility open I can see the keyboard connecting and disconnecting.

The typical first steps are try a different USB port, disconnect other USB devices where possible, ensure there isnt any USB software running (like logitech or razer), reduce RGB brightness, try another cable, try a USB powered hub that supports 8K, and lastly try a second computer to see if it's the board or something else.

Thockfather is a fantastic name Just on the subject of the cable, I know you can buy those cables that sort of roll up on a bar just in front of your keyboard, but they seems to be their own thing? Does the keeb cable matter or is it just so long as you get a decent USB-C one?
I'm happy with the braided cable it comes with so don't plan on buying anything extra but was curious when I saw them

Any quality cable of 2m / 6ft or shorter should be fine for 1K polling. For 8K polling you want a cable that specifically says it's supports it or is certified for high speed.

I just put together my 80he (got the Module and a zinc case) and am very pleased to be able to confirm that Glorious HE Panda (both Silent and not), Glorious HE Raptor, and Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Nebula switches all work. The Silent Pandas are really quiet and feel particularly great. Also worth noting, the Pandas are almost entirely transparent / translucent, and the RGB is super bright through the Wooting double-shot PBT shine-through keycaps.

so i recently got my wooting80he and it has a few problems with it. first whenever i restart my pc or boot it up the keyboard doesnt turn on until i unplug and plug it back in, idk if thats a software issue or whatever. next sometimes it just acts as if alt is being held down and this happens randomly. third sometimes whenever i press o it spams it and itll type out like 20 os with one key press. all of this can be fixed by unplugging and plugging back in but i wanna know if theyre is any fixes. i already ordered a new one but if i can fix it illjust keep both.

Hi guys I just got my 80HE and I'm trying to assemble the module. I'm having a lot of trouble with the JST cable following along with the installation guide. the cable keeps coming out when I try to route it and I can't get it into position without it unplugging after I route it

Its too stiff to push into place afterwards, any advice?

Igot it into position but it seems a little crooked towards the top

As long as its properly connected in the pcb, should be ok. Dont worry about routing, just plug it in the connector and push it in with your nail

Almost all switches with good stem wobble have closed bottom, they wont have same sound as stock Lekkers, but they have very clean clacky sound signature. For example Owlab Ti's are great.

It's been almost half a month since I got the Wooting 80HE, and there has been constant data flashing with the key travel triggered in the driver. Setting it to 0.1 with ultrafast mode makes many keys automatically type, and sometimes when set to 0.2 for gaming, it also makes the character move automatically. I've re-flashed the firmware, replaced the switches, changed the cables, and plugged it into the computer's USB 3.0 ports, but none of these work. I suspect there's an issue with the PCB. How can this be resolved?

This is my second keyboard (I returned the first one and got a replacement, but it keeps happening).

I’ve tried everything but I can’t seem to fix it

All support is saying is that it could be a power related issue, but I’m using the cable that came with the keyboard

I have no idea how to fix this.

You have disturbance in the magnetic field. try using the keyboard on another place and see if the behavior continues to reproduce

I tried setting the lowest brightness, I have the keyboard plugged directly into the motherboard, I’ve tried other usb ports and I’m using the official wooting cable that comes with the keyboard

Hello, I just got my Wooting 80HE.

I'm currently assemblying the keyboard like in the official Wooting video.

I noticed, that in the Video, there is a different layout than in the package (keycaps from wooting).

Here you can see in the video, it says next to space: Alt, Fn, Strg

But in the package it is: Alt Gr, Menu, Fn but there is also one more "Strg"

What is now the correct way?

If you're using ISO DE, just pick the one that's on the picture. The extra key is just there in case you want to change the orientation of the bottom row.

There's a rubber piece you put on the PCB on top of the LEDs - the diffuser.

The case also has a piece of plastic that covers the LEDs (or rather the top of the diffuser)

one thing that caught my eye was the use of decoupling capacitors

Coke? Clean it. If you have isopropyl use that, if not, get rubbing alcohol at pharmacy, 99% would be best. Disassemble keyboard and clean the circuit board with it.
While keyboard has a protective layer, coke is acidic and really corrosive, so it may cause issues down the line.

Can someone help me with RGB, I have a Base layer set to Static that I like, and I want to add a Trail effect layer, so when I click a button, it makes a random colour, and then turning back to the base layer after set timer. But when I select Trail under Effect layers and then Random Colours, it turns the Static base layer off, only leaving the Trail effect layer. What am I doing wrong ?

HE keyboards are magnetic and very sensitive to magnetic interference of any kind.

You could try contacting support to see if they have any potential solution.

Worst case you might have to return it and get a mechanical keyboard or optical.
