I'm planning to replace the L45 in my 80HE with the GEON Raw HE (40g or 50g). Which of these (40g or 50g) would be closer in terms of actuation force to the L45?

I've also purchased foam padding for the spacebar to get rid of the hollow sound, but I'd still like to replace the stabilizers. I know they have a shorter travel distance, likely around 3.3mm compared to the 4.0mm in the L45. With that in mind, should I choose any specific stabilizers? I'm primarily considering the TYPEPLUS x YIKB, but TX AP and TX AP Long Pole are also available.

Gave the keys a much deeper sound too. From poppy to thocky in one move.

at the moment, when it comes to key scanning/polling/latency with tachyon off, the lightbar fx aren't any more costly than the regular rgb fx would be.

with tachyon on however, the lightbar fx have a bug where they don't realize tachyon is enabled, so depending on the effects you have there they will introduce cost which will practically negate the benefits of tachyon.

tl;dr if you care about max performance, enable tachyon and disable lightbar fx until situation improves

Yeah with stabs it' obten just the give and wobble, the nature of how stabs are makes it hard to make it so smooth. I did find that the foam inset into spacebar did help a bit with muting it all. Noted back some year or couple ago how such was being sold and I made my own quickly to test and it wasn't totally nonsense. Real good read and video exists too from Norbauer about stabilizers and what they have ended up with their own design, that may or may not really see open markets ever because it costs quite some to make compared to normal, I think...

Honestly some firmware bugs and a handful of QC issues is far from the worst batch 1 a company has released

Look at FinalMouse. They release mice at 2x the price of similarly spec’ed competitors and have the durability of playdough

Wooting isn’t perfect but they’re pushing out innovative stuff at a similar price as companies with magnitudes more R&D budget and at similar or better quality and QC.

Or if you want a LAN keyboard the 60HE is great.
