There was an issue with one of the connectors on the keyboard to where if the keyboard was plugged in during testing(normal usb-c) and the specific connector at a deeper level during testing was connected in a specific way it could fry the IC. It could also not break it but damage it enough to where after you get your keyboard it could break after use.

To me I'd much rather have a delay and get a working product than the product now just so it breaks and I have to RMA.

People don’t seem to get that the difference between wooting and other companies is that normally companies announce their product when they are already pretty much ready to go whereas wooting announces them near the beginning. Other companies run into delays and issues too but you just don’t know about them because you don’t know the product even exists.
There’s nothing stopping people from simply waiting for the product to be finished and released and then buying it, which would be same as buying from a normal company when the product releases. The only difference is that with wooting you get the option to buy it earlier if you want, knowing that the shipping date is only an estimate based on the current known facts.

So basically people are getting mad simply because they are given more information and and options than a normal company would give.

Personally I prefer being able to pre-order a product if I trust the company and to be able to follow along with the production and knowing such a product will eventually exist. Well I prefer having all the information I can get including their estimate of when they will be ready, even it ends up not holding up due to unforeseen issues.

If I have a friend coming over I like knowing when they think they’ll be here even though it’s entirely possible they get stuck in traffic or their car breaks down on the way causing them to arrive later. I don’t ask them to not tell me so I wont get disappointed if they arrive later than their estimation was.

You can use the beta feature of SOCD to stop overlapping during strafing so that you don't stop

Will the 80he be spill proof? This is mentioned on the 60he product page, not on the 80he product page.. But it is mentioned in the video's.

I'm in the market for a new keyboard, and as a dutchy, i would like to get a wooting... All the good stuff i hear and a dutch company is a win for me!
I want a spill proof keyboard, as this is the main reason my keyboard needs to be replaced.... It didn't like a open skylight and rain.... dead keyboard 😦

Spill PROOF is not a thing. None of our products are that. But they all have a coating on almost the entire PCB that -should- push liquid off of it.

You still absolutely need to unplug immediately, take apart and dry out everything.
