I didn’t clip them. There’s a lot of sound change from one side of the space bar to the other. I think I’m going to swap the stabs out with some plate mount durocks. I have them I just got too excited to try the board. I did lube the stabs but I couldn’t get it to change the sound

it's solid quality. I wouldn't necessarily say better qc than the original wooting one because it's hard for any niche custom keycaps to match up to these more mass produced factory ones from a wooting (or any brand really like razer/logitech etc)

for example with any custom keycap set you'll have some minor imperfections on the edges once in a while and they'll all have an injection mark hidden on the back side of the keycap just due to how small batches of keys are made

If you use Optimum Profile, you have to hold the right shift button for it to not be read as up arrow click.

If you want to change it, you can to to "Advanced Key" tab and change the Mod Tap binding on that specifc key

It’s a bit of a tight fit with the foam but if you push the pcb down with sufficient force you can get it to work. I don’t believe you’d be able to burger mount it in that case though

Not sure what would fit for a fullsize. The 60 is easy since it uses the standard dz60 layout, you'll have to look into it. But there are plenty of websites to find cases

It depends, if you find a 4mm travel distance switch to mod and position to magnet properly then yes, you can achieve pretty similar functionality

technically lekker is just stem with magnet going boingboing up and down on a spring so wouldn't be rocket science to copypasta, but the devil is in the details

also not much incentive to mod it really since not much else than linears will be a good fit for how it works

yeah doing this for like 70 keys would require a lot of patience and praying to align everything properly

but if you want to make a macropad it works well, given you write the software yourself and have more flexibility in processing the input

given the nyquist theorem my firmware is at 480 out of 500 microseconds maximum scanrate

but with a bit of knowledge about multiplexers you could make one yourself based on project minipad

am pretty much monke on digital circuits or coding so likely won't handroll one anytime soon

oh analog circuits are not that different

essentially you but VCC, GND and an analog port on the sensor

then, depending on your architecture (in case of the minipad AVR) you just do analogRead(port)

and get a value between 0-1023 on 10bit ADC or 0-4095 on a 12bit one

then all that's left is calibrating it by writing down the range at which the key moves

and mapping that range to 0-400

then you have an integer where 1 = 0.01mm travel distance

I do have a very baseline grasp of how digital-analog conversion is achieved, but no idea on how to actually do it in practice
