here, riddle me this: why do you guys think that the rest of the other keyboards that are contactless cost as much as they do (with some few exceptions); like take for example the Razer Huntsman Analog (using opto-electric not HE switches) or the Steelseries Apex Pro and its iterations or Corsair OpX (also opto-electric), these all cost MORE THAN $250 each

The reason is simple (aside from brand name): they are fucking expensive to make

the PCB design, the components that go onto the PCB, the switches and their design, the switch components, the microcontrollers with specific tolerances, the Coding of those said microcontrollers, software support, etc

all of these things add A LOT to the cost of contactless keyswitches

sure, there are outliers like A4Tech Bloody keyboards that use opto-electric (again, not hall-effect) swiches that cost like $70

but those DO NOT have the same amount of features and coding and such that all the other name brands have

you guys need to understand that there is virtually no other way to make these keyboards and sell them for cheap, because they would literally sell them AT A LOSS then
