#Will Sailing effect the BRUHsailer guide?

dragon implings for a glory is a meme unfortunately
str ammy is often better than a glory
sailing will probably eventually have something to do with the guide
but right now im not sure if anything matters for meta progression
- sailing will be added to the guide
- but it'll take several months at least, don't hold your breath
- hunting implings is still bad
okay thank you. I just thought it was a good move because I thought it suggested hunting magpies for runite bars for a quest
catching them passively in the overworld, yes
you're most likely not getting a glory from dragon implings without hopscaping in puro-puro for hours
certainly not if you're talking about "rushing"
For the runite bar use the nest (nice) https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Nest_(nice) with some rune platelegs.
A nest can be found on top of the Aldarin windmill in Varlamore.
Placing an item in the nest and subsequently logging out or switching worlds will result in it being swapped for a different item if it is one of ten items with a special interaction.
The nest only accepts unnoted tradeable items whose item value and Grand Exchange guide price are ...
I like how the funny new blowpipes are useless even for super early game Ironman
Camphor with iron darts needs you to rush 58 fletching for a weapon that needs a fuckton of time spent making darts and is barely better than a bone crossbow still on low ranged def enemies like Ahrim
92 woodcutting and 84 fletching for a rosewood blowpipe which needs adamant darts to match a random magic shortbow w/ adamant arrows you got spooned from a clue or can craft with lower levels in both skills + buy arrows for pennies from shops or get them/rune arrows from lms
so glad i did not try this thank you
I had no idea this was a thing. Thank you.
….bro. That hurts to read. I was hoping they would be up there with sunlight hunter xbow
At rosewood
Fucking useless on arrival. Gdi jamflex
sunlight hunter crossbow is not good, id argue basically worthless. So in that sense they are about equal
Isn't it bis for basilisk knights?
nah, melee is much better
it should get buffed, I think gagex has been very much on the cautious side releasing new content. So it's better to release underpowered stuff, then buff it then reverse
unless they buff something from sailing i don't think any of it is going to be relevant to account progression (outside of the goal of leveling sailing itself)
maybe armadyl brew, but is it going to be worth the hours to put into it if you don't have 99 sailing as a goal?
you need 64 sailing for the crabs, and the high level coral isn't easy to get either. you're probably better off using ranging pots unless you are cool with the very large detour, and even then, the upkeep for them seems less than ideal
At 70 sailing so far and the only thing that springs to mind as useful for overall progression is the necklace, the deepfin tele especially is quite good for various things
The offhand for xbow dmg with a ZCB for combat achievement speed kills perhaps?
possibly, but the odds of it being an improvement are so low that you're going to have to grind many many times just to get one "good" run
some of the methods I think are undiscovered but prob not meta
seen somethings on crab hunting maybe ironwood trees are new good afk method to 90 wc
from the very little sailing ive done (only lvl 70 sailing) I feel like especially early id avoid sailing.
yeah i think crabs and new woodcutting are probably the best contenders for being useful
fishing for double proc let alone proc+extra hit is way to much rng and far beyond what ud need I feel
Do we have rates? Cause I’d be interested in trying 1.5t on fossil island if that’s not ass
nah idt its good xp just maybe better then other afk options
heard someone say they were getting like 90k xph afking rosewood trees
can confirm the ironwood trees
getting this rate clicking once every 4 minutes
also not doing any of the forestry events
fwiw early sailing has a fairly low barrier of entry and starting at level 50 salvage is nice for literal afk training + cash and magic exp from alchs. Past 70 you start to hit higher cash and skill checks to progress
Probably not meta to do early but isn't overly dependent on other stuff to do efficiently
It seems like a skill you can totally just not engage with and be fine but if you do engage with it there's nice stuff yea
If only repair kits weren't nerfed so bad
Planks are only worth half the xp for sailing crafts so not a great use of them
you can alch
not going to be as efficient as traditional construction but i would think it's more afk
Like alch the repair kits? I guess they do have decent alch values
yeah, lets you recoup almost all of your cash
Is that worth the effort of getting planks tho
Dunno. Someone can run the numbers. Given that it's saving you money compared to normal construction, there's probably a breakeven point where if you can get a certain gp/hr then it won't be worth doing
Certainly if you don't have a lot of good moneymakers yet and you need con xp, I would think it's a great option
Might be nice for the earlier construction levels since it doesn't cost much gp or if you want something semi-afk yea
The mithril nail cost is a difficult thing to factor in
like ill prob end up doing it some but more because i hate normal construction training
and it's a lot faster than mahogany homes
yea
I mean, repair kit trains construction and recoups the cost, right?
Would compete with myth cape racks
Or camphor?
Camphor are addy nails, and ironwood is rune
Teak and Mahogany repair kits -> lvl 70 mahogany homes instead of the teaks mahogany homes for plank sack
camphor would recoup less money compared to mahogany
Yeah, mahogany costs are to get it, Mithril nails and nature runes
Mithril bar being set at platebody alch prices, 416 + 180 for nature runes around 600 gp for 210 exp
Just around 3 gp/exp
Teaks are pretty much free
As a plank make enjoyer, teaks are in an awkward spot as the gp savings don't justify using plank make on them
i think the best argument in favor of ever doing teak repair kits is that you can just straight up buy the nails
plank make + alch on mahogany repair kits is very close to breaking even if you ignore the nails; alching teak repair kits is a non-negligible loss per alch
i think mahogany is the sweet spot, it's lots of xp and is closer to breaking even than pretty much any of the other options
i mean, paying for exp is the norm, mahogany tables are listed as 950k xp/hr at 11.4 gp/xp
teak myth's capes are listed at 450k xp/hr at 4.8 gp/xp
Yeah, you just don't get a whole lot for what you pay for when you move up to camphor/ironwood/rosewood
Camphor is maybe feasible. If you're already chopping the trees for woodcutting xp and have a reasonable way to get adamant nails then I could see an argument for it
Or if you have vouchers of course
Ironwood and rosewood repair kits are crazy expensive though
Addy nails aren't that bad I thought
I feel like a lot of people will end up with like 20k Addy ore banked because of dt2 bosses
Yeah camphor's probably a decent option in that case
No 👍
This might be a tangent, and I can't recall if this is in the BRUHsailer guide, but with the release of Sailing, I've noticed there's a new Charter Vendor that's closer to a Bank Deposit than in Land's End. Anyone know of a closer one?
Deepfin has a bank that's about that far
here's another on conch https://i.imgur.com/MsN341l.png
Yeah there's better spots now than Land's End 😄
Catherby might be good, I haven't checked which is best yet
is there a good spot to bank camphor?
Fairy ring is likely best
ive just been using the great conch bank but maybe theres better options
I think fossil island bank might be the best
seems like a close contest between that and great conch bank
probably but i dont know if its worth farming the seeds for (probably not)
No, I think log basket at west conch -> bank at conch is perfectly fine tbh
If you're at mercenary shipwrecks it seems like camphor seeds are relatively common, so if you want to go fossil island route you can do that
why not bank at sepulchre / crafting guild / shantay pass ?
how would you get to the tree?
this and return by fairy ring is a bit faster
or teleport to boat if you have it there
i didn't even realize there was a fairy ring near a hardwood patch lol
teleport to boat makes sense
You mean deepfin
good as well
They are quite common, same goes for ironwood from fremmies
