Hi All,
Trying to get doom lvl 8 down and struggling - I've had one clear but not got it since. I know in this clip I moved too early on the first boulders for the setup I was going for. Then I stepped on a shadow and got hit with the other boulders. The last set of boulders just was a bit of panic as I had the melee punish as well
Need some tips if anyone can help please! 🙂

2nd set you need to step on boulder shadow 1t later, your death was just 1t late switching from range to mage

As soon as you see first boulders break you want to step on a shadow and start flicking. After 3rd attack you can click boss then immediately start flicking again

This is only true if you step on a shadow 2 tiles away
3 tiles away*

For melee punish make sure you’re on the white tile markers and as soon as you see the boulders dip (start their descent) click boss and start flicking
As hally will put you on the set of white tile markers closest to doom

You want to move as soon as you see them dip down if you want to reach the white tiles with proper timing

Camera placement looks terrible. You don't need to look at the boss like that.
I like to keep it how it looked when you were running towards the tile.

You look like you’re getting close but as soon as you do 1-2 boulder sets and melee punishes without taking damage it really clicks in my experience
It’s all timing and it’s exactly the same every time unless you get shitty acid spawns
But in that case just move to the other boulder start

Ok so move camera position so it’s easier to click the white tiles when the boulders come out.
I need to move a tick later than I did on the first boulders? If it’s melee punish I’ll get dragged to the white and pink tiles.
Also I’m a little confused at what I actually die to. It’s a combination of the rock damage and did I miss a prayer flick?

First boulder you moved too early, after you get to white tiles you need to move again, either by attacking the boss or by moving to a shadow/empty space
And on that same tick start flicking

Ok fair, in my clip I would need to manually path as clicking the boss wouldn’t move me as I was ranging I guess

Definitely took a hit from a shadow but it looks like he had range pray up in time so idk what the second hitsplat is from🤔

If you get hit by the falling projectiles (shadow) the rock will be placed in a random location

isn't that just if you get hit by the main rock, i.e. the one that stalls you?

Nah, getting hit with the falling debris causes the 2nd rock to be placed randomly

and yeah the 2 hitsplats on the same tick makes no sense however you slice it, there were no projectiles out on that tick and obviously you can't get hit by two debris on the same tick

That makes no sense to me lmfao. Only thing I can think is maybe jank boss had two projectiles on the same tile?
