Did anyone in here do dragon hunter wand grind yet from huey solo? Did you pray flick or did you just spam prayer pots?

IMO prayer flicking is not worth it anywhere unless there’s something limiting how much prayer you have access to, like being able to only take so much prayer into a raid or inferno. Don’t think there’s any reason to prayer flick somewhere like Huey, prayer pots are endless

atm im just using moonlight moths mix, but im considering to bring pray pots, because i then have access to more prayer points in the fight so i doint have to 1t flick

i just realized huey drops 20 ranarr seeds in a solo, so maybe its not that bad to just use pray pots over there instead of moonlight moth mix

Prayer pots are not sacred. It is good to use them wherever you need prayer.

unironically i've been finding worlds with a bot or even 2 bots and basically using them as super thralls. they are usually around lvl 80 with trash prayer gear and a cudgel so they get out dpsed hard

e.g in a 1+1 world i get over 2/3 of the loot, in 1+2 i get over 1/2

haven't done the math but this seems very good to me, gotten a ton of huasca seeds and huey hide but no dhw yet.

oh yeah forgot to mention the obvious, 1+1 is usually like 50% faster than my solos (9 mins vs 6 mins), so contribution wise this seems to be a net positive

its very easy to find a bot just hopping worlds and peeking at the gate

I don't see 1+1 being better really, 1+2 might be if you get the prayer dps buff

idk again, I don't have the full maths but seemed to be more effective than solos for me. at the very least neutral time wise which would make it better variance wise due to faster kc

Well logically, for contribution based bosses, you want to maximize damage dealt per time. Since you will spend more time on downtime with teammates where you could be dpsing yourself , it should be a bit worse on average. There are also rounding effects. Idk how signifant the difference is though

i dont think its that simple since in solos you spend significantly more time on the dogshit tail phase where u do 0 dmg. also 3s get the prayer boost

also personally I used da4 amulet after each kill to maximise specs, which u will get less of in a solo

but im not certain how tail phase affects contribution so idk

And do the bots bring like ice boppers for tail or do they cudgel the entire kill

yeah they use prayers very well (they also dodge the lava 1 tick faster than u)
and they switch to glacial temotli on tails

funnily enough i notice your more likely to be griefed by a main camping dhl the entire kill

How does 1+2 work ? U just have 2 people praying so the totems are always lit and i have damagebuff ? Huey hp doesnt scale with more ppl in ?

I'm in the process of this grind I got 700 KC about 450 of that is solo 50 odd duos and about 200 masses but those were before the buff so I don't count them

I wouldn't call it a waste after the buff and it's quite good for Slayer
