Before the update comes in and fucks everyone who likes clues, now seems like the time to rush them.
IF, they're worth doing at all.

As far as I remember, generally speaking clues don't give us a whole lot of benefit/progression, outside of Ranger Boots and god items for GWD.
Is there anything specifically from clues that we should be trying to get? Or just continue not worrying about them.

I don’t believe this fucks everyone who likes clues, personally. This fucks everyone that likes juggling a million clues on the ground with a tedious gameplay mechanic.

This doesn’t change clue drop rate so far as I’m aware. So still the same amount of clues you’d normally get. For me this change means that I don’t necessarily need to stop my current slayer task to do a clue, I can potentially stack up a couple and do them after.

I think god d’hide top/boots for general progression was the reason to do clues and yeah ranger boots/maybe devout boots for BiS builds if you get lucky on them med clues

That's fair, maybe I'm being dramatic but I just hate that they're removing the hour timer regardless even if it doesn't pass, and the starting amount of stacking clues is 2. That's it.
It goes up to 5 if you do a bunch of them but yikes.

#

As for the progressions, yeah I forgot about god dhide, which is quite nice.
I already got my ranger boots early so I'm not too fussed about clues anymore

Yeah I definitely prefer the hour timer to the 3-minute one for sure too

#

That being said I’m not much of a completionist with clues or anything and I haven’t done a great deal of them and haven’t done any clue target farming so I can’t speak to if there seems to be any unhealthy gameplay loop with it

Be interesting to hear clue hunters perspectives

Also I think some of the blessings are good substitutes for gwd alignment items

It does screw over the current method. with the boxes, your steps aren't kept the same way they are now
If you have an emote step that you can't do, you have to start from step 1 on the next clue

#

It also makes it harder to keep a good 3 step clue for masters

ancient vambs are nice for nex when you go there in a zillion years

#

definitely not required though

this fucks master clue doers but might help the other types of clues

#

not having to run back to pick up clues you got during an activity saves a lot of time especially places like callisto mass for elites

#

and you should still be able to sherlock skip elites you just need to tele back every step

#

you can also still do master clue juggling with the triple steps itll just be a lot harder

#

so to the biggest nerds it might be a buff, to the casuals its a buff and maybe its a nerf to the mid level nerds who dont want to be in a rush to complete every step in 3 min to get back to juggle the master clue

On a non-scuffed account I think this version is much better for casual clue doers

#

I'd much rather just stack up to 10 masters with 0 effort over doing some jank juggling that locks you out of anything that takes more than an hour

5 of each clue, dump into Watson, get 5 more of each

Update is a buff to beginners -> hard clues although hard clues will be more tedious to complete. It cucks elites and masters quite a bit without the timer

#

Plus if rogues works it will offer an alternative method for mediums
