Really close to giving up on this grind or taking an extended break from it. what's the most feasible way to do so? Bp with amethyst? Atlatl? etc.

yeah im well aware of that but after 1650 kc on my iron and 350 on my main and never seeing an enhanced its getting harder and harder to keep going lmao

It’s always better to just do the content you want to do and have fun doing rather than grinding what you hate and burning out and quitting for a year, that’s way more of a loss of progress than slowly doing cg and sprinkling fun content in etc

If Skilling motivates you, you might have a bunch of efficient Skilling you could do to help progress the account still too. But gl brother 4x is rough.

there is also the possibility that new prayers from the giant boss are really quick to get and maybe those could work as motivation instead of cox prayers

Elyas already said most of it but to recap and confirm:

taking a break from cg, then resuming it later, is probably best
the 'no-bowfa meta' is rcb toa to shadow, afaik
I've been told atlatl is surprisingly decent, there's just no breathing room for it in a bowfa world
due to upkeep id use atlatl > msb > bp > hunters crossbow, for e.g. cox
