#How hard is Sins of the Father compared to SOTE?

So the biggest goal ive completed on my account was SOTE, and fragment of seren was quite hard (i had to use the phoenix necklace strat). I'd like to do sins of the father, but I'm skeptical of if I can even beat the boss. I fought him in leagues and I feel like I only won cuz of bankers note. And thats with much higher stats.
So now I'm wondering if I've got any chance lol.
My combat roughly 75 for atk/def/ranged/mage and then 84 str 60 prayer (planning to work on getting this to 70).

Thoughts?

I would get piety and you should be able to do it without an issue. You can use efaritay's aid for an extra DPS boost.

Not sure about SoTE as I haven’t done it yet but Vanstrom Klause clapped me until I got piety, I also had lower combat stats besides prayer.

Yeah I guess I didnt have piety or a ring (just lumby ring) in leagues. I did have higher melee stats, but piety + ring should equalize that some

I did it before getting huge relic buffs, but I did have some. The fact that it felt dicey in leagues made me even more worried after hearing for ages that the boss is real hard

2 prayer pots, 1 super attack pot, 1 super strength pot, rest karams

You might be able to do it without piety

I mean I want piety anyways, so I might as well get it first to minimize the struggle

It'll probably take a while, but its a huge unluck anyways. Probably the single biggest thing for me to work on atm

SOTE was a huge achievement for me, but I kinda burnt out after grinding all the skills for it and then not really having another goal after it 😅

But leagues has brought me back anew as it did last year

Karambwans have a 2t attack delay, other food is 3t. So you can spend more time attacking and less time being stalled

Yea so combo eating is even worse unless you're really about to get stacked out. Because you have a 3t delay + 2t delay. So you're blocked from attacking for 5 ticks

I absolutely thought all food had the same delay and the only special thing about karams was that you could double eat (with the added delay for 2 food)

Yeah I knew it counted for both, I just thought they were both 3 (i mean i didnt know 3 was the number, but you get the idea)

Well thanks for input and advice. The karam info plus knowing it can be down with lower stats is reassuring

ive done it on the hc at almost identical stats + piety (~combat 98?) and it was a 1nd so you should be fine after piety

if all else fails you could also get like a vampire? vyre? slayer task and use slayer helm as well but idt its actually worth ur time setting all that up

just did it with your stats except had piety, took a couple trys to get a bit lucky on dps but it wasnt hard at all

I did SOTF before SOTE without piety with 75 attack 88 strength and 70 defence, you should be fine as long as you know the mechanics, think I did it on my 2nd attempt

It boosts dmg on all vampyres iirc

The 10% damage bonus is bugged with T3 vampyres and applies to vanstrom

Idk the dps calcs or anything, but halving your damage is quite a bit. Idk how bad the flail is

Yeah the bugged part is that the +10% dmg should only work on t1 and not vanstrom, but it does

So you are stuck with it

You will still get the % boost from the ring but it won't let you damage him with other weapons

Yeah I was just checking because I thought the ring had said 10% dmg with normal weapons against low tier vamps. So I was like oh wait, are people using normal weps?

From everyone's replies, it sounds like i shoukd be good. Ill get piety first to be safe, but otherwise it sounds like it'll be fine

Yup you'll be OK. Take a tele because sometimes the flail just noodles forever, so it might take a couple attempts
