Just starting the TOA grind and was wondering what would be optimal specs to use and where. Right now my only spec weapons are Voidwaker, Bone Dagger, and DDS. Slowly raising the invocations but on 200 currently if that matters.

Zebak - I use Bone Dagger at the start and that's it.
Kephri - Save Void spec for arcane scarab then dump the rest on Kephri after shield phase ends.
Akkha - Use Void at start for mage phase. Then DDS on final phase.
Baba - Start with Bone Dagger spec. Use Void spec off cooldown.
Wardens - So far just DDS on P2.

Any changes you guys would make or recommendations on optimizing my clears?

Bone dagger p3, that's about it. Missing bgs at low rl is quite awkward

Will start adding that in there then! Yeah, I had a friend willing to carry me through TOA. So was trying to send my own before the BGS hoping for a fang spoon

fang doesnt help you get bgs, bgs helps you get fang, your order of operations is reversed

Missing bgs at any RL other than 500+ with overly draining is quite awkward

Highly recommend just getting it and not using a bone dagger

Why is bgs way better than bone dagger, can’t you only reduce by 20 anyway?

u can reduce 40 on p1 and 30 pn p3

bone dagger also maxes like a 21 or something so ur rolling 1-21

Also bone dagger is 75% spec
When you bring DPS specs like VW/ZCB the extra spec cost of BD gets annoying
Ofc once ur doing overly draining at 500+ RL then sure everything is 100%
So that + insanely high defense kinda makes BD better cuz it's guaranteed to hit

Sorry to revive this - but just got the Burning Claws as well. Is there a general rule of where it out performs the VW at TOA?

Also still hunting the BGS

Burning claws are better at baba and zebak, about equal on kephri, and worse on akkha and p1

That being said a bgs would be very nice, though bone dagger is ok

So the move is start Baba and Zebak with BGS, assuming it hits, then spam Claws whenever I have spec energy?

Yeah I see that the BGS is much better than bone dagger for me. Got lucky with the shards but still hunting the hilt

Also, does that mean I'm clear to drop the DDS for the Claws? Since the only use prior was for Wardens p2

yeah thats the strat. Personally I think the difference between bgs and bone dagger is sometimes overstated.
