could someone give me some advice on bare minimum setup to start scurrius on an iron? id like to max my combat there and green log it! obv gear and stats that would give me a comfortable grind to start. thank you.

the requirements arent that severe, but its really not a great way level up your combats

#

and you will be getting a ton of post max xp if you do that

If you wanna try it even if its not eficient, then bare minimun should be overheads prayers , base 60 for dragon gear (scimmy and or dagger); if you have gear with melee str; then use it, else proselite or any gear that gives prayer (or just rune gear tbh)
Its gonna take a while for the kills and you are likely to use prayer potions if not properly flicking.

i went with a GIM account with base 80 + whip and the kills were so fast that it made more sense to do that content later, as scurrius its just meant to be a boss to train your pve skills.

If you are gonna tackle it anyways, try to do the Combat Achievments, GL

The bone mace doesn’t take much time to get and will speed up kills. I happen to get it when doing the combat achievements. Wouldn’t recommend sticking around for it thought unless you are extra interested in the pet

I recently did a fair amount of Scurrius on a HC and I disagree that the xp isn't worth it! Once you get your first bone weapon, the xp is pretty great IMO. I did 60-70 range and was getting consistently 100k xp/hr doing the group variant solo. Gear was full Mixed hide and rune arrows. no range pots. With d scim melee and 65 atk/70str I was getting about 60k xp/hr. So with a Bone mace it would be a lot higher than that.

I don't know if it's worth going all the way to 99s there, but for base 80s or so I think its a good shout if you want something active instead of afk crabs.

If u want something active go throw chins

remote wharf
#

hmm considering you would want MM2, elite void, anguish, etc before chinning I think that's not wise. Also the time you spend catching the chins to even throw you would already have gotten the level anyways lol. Guy is asking for bare minimum reqs which means hes starting from nothing.

Idk everything u just wrote is wrong so

remote wharf

lol?

#

you get maybe 250 chins/hr at low hunter levels. you throw 1800+ an hour. so 7+hrs to get 1hr of training, for rates of 400k xp/hr at low levels, which would be 20%~ less without elite void and anguish. All of that is backed up by the wiki, so im pretty sure you are the one who is wrong.

If u wanna post some random chin catching numbers that hard half the expected rate then I guess it does sound bad

#

But u can easily get 500 an hour

nova sparrow

Yeah 250 is a very low estimate lol

#

Also nothing is stopping you getting elite void

covert bramble

even if you value hunter xp at 0 it's still faster range xp/hr to catch and throw them than any other method
considering they mentioned getting max combat there that's a lot of hours saved

ideally you only go there for the CAs, but if you enjoy the content that's more important and I'd just stay until you get bored

I never did any sandcrabs or nmz on my account and it was fine

Jagex confuses me. I thought it was meant for early game combat xp. I'm so confused

naive iron
#

it is, its just not good

It beat sandcrabs for training from 50-60 for me but I was spooned on the spine drop and I am not sure how realistic it is for someone to get a bone mace at 50 attack.

Might as well do slayer imo as you need to do that anyways

tiny flax

I did it specifically because if I was going to do slayer I wanted a dragon scimitar first. Yeah, its not afk at all though. I wanted to enjoy the new content which is why I went for it.

active nmz is higher xp than scurrius, and an even better alternative is to actively complete other combat goals

Fine guys I get it I'll sit at nmz sadge

rigid oak
#

i mean, i dont think thats really it either? you get a lot of levels from questing and slayer and whatever other combat you do

#

NMZ is a fine afk activity sure, but outside of a few situations you dont need to afk train
