trying to get the timing down still
runeaxe + L75 wc, 3 teaks at fossil
What kind of xp/hr should I be able to hit? If I get the double xp at 170 does that mean it was done correctly?

Is the tick motion for walk method?
chop 1
wait 2
walk 3
chop 1
wait 2
walk 3

and similar for running? chop wait run chop wait run?

2t at fossil island is a 4 tick cycle

Tick 1: xp drop (wait)
Tick 2: click to move
Tick 3: click tree
Tick 4: wait (stall)

If you get a 170xp drop then yes you got the double roll

I see, thanks! Let me try that out, guess I was missing a wait and start with a move

hmm that doesn't seem to work for walking, with 1 tick metro I have to do this

wait
walk
chop
wait
walk
chop

here is what is happening on the left clip:

tick 0: click to move
tick 1: character moves, click to interact with tree
tick 2: interact with tree (arrivedelay), no click
tick 3: character interacts with tree setting skilling timer to 3, click to move
tick 4: character moves (skilling timer ticks to 2), click to interact with tree
tick 5: character interacts with tree (arrivedelay, skilling timer ticks to 1), no click
tick 6: skilling timer ticks to 0 and character interacts with tree twice due to arrivedelay the previous tick resulting in a 170xp drop, no click
tick 7: character interacts with tree setting skilling timer to 3, click to move
tick 8: character moves (skilling timer ticks to 2), click to interact with tree
tick 9: character interacts with tree (arrivedelay, skilling timer ticks to 1), no click
tick 10: skilling timer ticks to 0 and character interacts with tree twice due to arrivedelay the previous tick but misses both rolls, no click
... tick 14: skilling timer ticks to 0 and tree falls with 85xp drop

so it is actually a 4t cycle on the left

I think some confusion is coming from the fact that with this method, you are clicking on the tree first to start the skilling timer, but subsequent tree clicks are the tick before the skilling timer hits 0. so there could indeed be a 3 tick difference between the first two tree clicks, but it is still a 4 tick action.

#

contrast this with the knife log method for 1.5t teaks, where there is no initial tree click to get into cycle, and the timing is the same for the first cycle as for subsequent cycles

#

in the second clip, you are waiting 4 ticks after the initial click to start the skilling timer, so you aren't interacting with the tree when the skilling timer hits 0 the first time

I might try 1.5T next, the 2T walk seems pretty unforgiving, struggling to beat 5T xp rates lol

or in your clip above it would be
-2 -1 0 1 2 3 0 1 2 3...
where you click to move on -2
click tree on -1
and the 4 tick skilling timer starts on the next tick (0) due to arrive delay
