#1 Enhanced seed or 2?

I know there won’t be a real answer to this question until more information is released on the combat rebalance project, but how do you guys feel about getting 2 enh seeds?

I’m currently at 780 kc at CG and putting in a solid 100 kills a week. Since I’m enjoying the grind now should I bite the bullet and stay for the blade just in case it gets buffed enough to be meta?

Even if blade gets buffed a lot you can turn bowfa into a blade

However, nothing wrong with enjoying the content and wanting to stay for a second seed

I think it is very unlikely that itll be worth staying for two enhanced weapon seeds

even if salad blade becomes meta relevant I expect that it will be a lot better to revert the bowfa to the blade as needed instead of staying at CG for twice as long

with the current numbers the tent whip is almost as good as salad and much easier to obtain

Some notes for OP:

  • thieving is 215 shards/hr while CG is around 12.2 shards/kc (after 6x armour)
  • consistent ~5.87 CG/hr (long-term, including deaths) = 71.67 shards/hr
  • overall 3 hours of CG per 1 hour of thieving
  • so consistent ~68 hours of CG to get 2nd enh
  • same ~68h at Thieving gets you ~14,640 shards
  • fixed cost: 100 shards to activate, 250 shards to deactivate enh
  • variable cost: 15 shards/hr, but starts at 10k charges (=100 shards)
  • with the thieving:
    • corrupt bowfa once = 100 + 2k = 2.1k shards
    • revert to seed = 250 shards
    • convert to blade = 100 shards
    • use uncorrupted blade for some amount of time = X shards
    • revert to seed = 250 shards
    • re-corrupt bowfa = 100 + 2k = 2.1k shards
  • how long can we use blade?
    • all of the costs above add up to 4.8k + X shards
    • this means we have 9,840 shards to work with
    • effectively 9,940 shards, including the 10k free charges we get
    • this lasts for ~662h 40m of continuous combat
  • is that enough?
    • short answer: yes
    • long answer:
      • vardorvis: 35 charges/kc = 0.35 shards/kc = ~570 shards for axe + ring
      • duke: 50 charges/kc = 0.50 shards/kc = ~540 shards for axe + ring
      • tob: 200 charges/kc = 2 shards/kc = ~1400 shards for scythe
      • this puts us at 2,510 shards used for all of the grinds
      • you have SO much room to go dry and still not even come close to extra CG time
