I want to get voidwaker on my ironman for the toa and the following nex grind. Im not ready for it yet but I'm planning ahead.

I would assume to use a zammy hasta for Calvar'ion and Spindel with med risks because I'm very bad at tanking if it comes to that. For Artio I would use Bowfa most likely.

What should my setups look like if I don't care about losing items like black d'hide, barrows gloves, amulets of glory or other easily accessible items? I have enough cash to fund a bunch of them.

Is it worth going for slayer tasks for the increased damage and and accuracy or should I just outright grind them?

How much kc/h could I expect at each boss with the weapons outlined above?

Would it be worth it to go for any of the rev weapons? Considering I could get the sceptre, might be unwise?

You can assume I have base 90s in all combat stats (except prayer) and the following items unlocked:

  • All slayer unlocks up until and including occult and basilisk jaw (no slayer boss rewards like cerb crystal)
  • Blowpipe / Serp Helm / Magic fang
  • Full Bandos including Hilt
  • Zammy spear
  • Dex/Arcane
  • Avernic

If there are any more points of concern, I'll happily answer them. Thanks a lot in advance!

task/revs are worth it if u want the wildy weapons for something else or if you enjoy clogging

#

in general id suggest somewhat risky setups since it should be pretty impossible to die on the singles bosses if u have an alt outside scouting

#

also id go vetion and the rest can be singles bosses

dense walrus
#

Revs also give a hefty amount of gp if you need it for whatever reason

The only thing I care about at this point is getting the voidwaker asap. I will not go back until I need webweaver for blood torva in a couple year.

glass pike
#

really dont need webweaver for blorva

#

but ye then id go off task and just grind it

dense walrus
#

But yeah don't use pure rags outside of your four items, stuff like dragon boots and Barrows Gloves are worth risking

woeful heath
glass pike
#

i think something like this was my melee setup

dense walrus
#

Sounds like beelining the bosses is for you

glass pike
#

not exact since it was for both vetion and venenatis so i changed some stuff

dense walrus
#

Bludgeon is nice if you don't have chainmace, saves a slot

woeful heath
#

Not planning to go for Bludgeon.

glass pike
#

and this was the artio setup also not exact

dense walrus
#

Not worth going for first then

dense walrus
glass pike
#

i stepped back and ye before change

dense walrus
#

Ah

#

Mystic legs + crystal top Bowfa was enough to hit guaranteed freezes post change

glass pike
#

pictures are mostly so u can estimate the risk and roughly what type of items might be useful

woeful heath
glass pike
#

not sure if bandos is worth bringing

#

can also bring proselyte to spindel

slim pumice
#

u can use torso and if u have a trouver it gets protected so u can bring a diff valuable item

slim pumice
#

then just use pros or dhide

woeful heath
#

Proselyte platebody and platelegs or d'hide legs and also neitiznot helm? dunno if faceguard would change risk but alternatively would do that too.

slim pumice
#

it's preference

glass pike
#

proselyte if u have alt outside and half decent reaction speed

slim pumice
#

dhide better for tanking pros better for longer trips/saving prayer

glass pike
#

dhide if u think a pker might get on u

woeful heath
#

I really dont mind losing the stuff I would lose and I have an alt to scout outside. Everything I potentially lose on pk, I should have in bulk.

glass pike
#

then id bring proselyte to spindel and dhide to vetion

slim pumice
#

for risk u just need to decide whether you wanna bring 3 or 4 protected items and then just bring a setup that maximizes str bonus between those items and the "free" items u dont mind losing

#

best 3 items are probably wep defender b ring

#

if u dont wanna risk ur dragon defender u need to be a bit careful about what losable items you bring cus some might protect over it

#

dboots do iirc

woeful heath
#

That only really matters for vet'ion doesnt it? If I get killed below 20 then I keep it and have to pay 240k.

slim pumice
#

spindel is 29 wild too

woeful heath
#

Fair. Not too far but still possible to die.

#

Why vet'ion over calvar'ion btw?

slim pumice
#

kills arent that much slower and droprates are significantly better

#

and regular loot is better as well

glass pike
#

also low risk since u can logout for most of the kill as long as you dodge attacks

#

and can kite dogs to exit so u can 1t leave if u cant logout

#

so need to be pretty unlucky to die even once

woeful heath
#

Sounds good. How much kc/h can I expect at each of the bosses so I can have a rough estimate of the time investment we are talking about?

glass pike
#

no clue most of us did it with wildy weapons and a long time ago

slim pumice
#

bofa artio is quite fast i wanna say like 45 kph?

#

unsure on other two

#

hasta spindel doesnt feel great by comparison but i havent rly been keeping track of kph

merry basalt
#

think I got something like 36 kph artio 32 kph spindel 40 kph calvarion

#

bowfa rigour artio
bludgeon piety for other two

#

all off-task tho

#

and also no tank alt for artio, that also speeds it up cuz you don't waste time freezing and you can bring thralls

#

whole shebang comes out to like 60-70 hour grind, took me 100 with dry streaks

woeful heath
#

thanks for the insight @merry basalt
I guess I could bang that out in a week. surely is worth it for toa/nex/cox and misc pieces of content.
